This is a nice, consistent place tucked inside the southwest quadrant of L.B.J. Freeway and Preston Road Chinese fire drill, I mean, intersection.Canadian motifs and memorabilia adorn the walls striking a somewhat kitschy tone.I ordered something I'd never tried before: the cabbage rolls. They were nicely presented. The rolls themselves are stuffed with rice and beef. Tasty and unique.The diner serves breakfast all day and I will try their waffles on my next visit.

Call me hooked!! Maple Lead Diner has been on my radar to try for so long. I can't believe it's taken me this many years to finally give them a try! They use Yelp's waitlist where you can plug your name in, and make your way over when your spot in line is pretty close. Efficient system overall. You will wait on the weekends, but don't let that deter you. The inside ambiance is classic, nostalgic diner style with big red booths and bright lights. The staff is courteous and made us feel very welcome, despite the incredibly busy restaurant. The food. Wow. Best chicken and waffles I've ever had. And I've had a lot. It comes stacked with crispy chicken tenders, bacon, fresh strawberries, and delicious maple syrup on the side. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the latte here. The cream was so fluffy! My husband ordered the pumpkin pancakes and they were also a hit! We will be back again and again.

Yum!We had to wait around 15-20 minutes for a table mid-morning but it was very worth the wait.We tried a few of their options and were very satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. I loved the Southern poutine (I love the gravy) and couldn't stop eating it even when I was full. The pizza burger was interesting but I would prefer to get something else next time (especially if I could order the fried mushroom balls they put on top of the burger because they were very, very good). The classic poutine was just that. The presentation of dishes was fun and everything looked and tasted appetizing.

CLASSIC CANADIAN DINER Maple Leaf Diner is a Dallas staple with delicious pies and breakfast items. Check out their holiday specials! I'm a fan of the Spiked Maple Nog. This is my first meal in Dallas and couldn't have had a better time. Wait time was much shorter than what we were told initially. The servers were very nice and quick. The bakery makes the place feel cozy. Couldn't recommend more.

Every time we visit friends in the DFW area we have to come here. The service is always A+ and the food is always great. There is usually a wait to get in so I highly recommend doing a reservation!
