Lucky Lou's

This is probably the best bar on fry. You won't only find your college drinkers here but also locals. My favorite dive bar with the least pretentious people. They have great deals like 2 dollar doubles. You can grab a table inside or outside and subject yourself to bar games like giant connect four, corn hole, and pool.Most of the bartenders and staff are great. If you come here at night any day from Thursday - Saturday expect a wait at the bar. I've had one weird experience here. My friend called me to meet her at Lucky Lou's. I had just gone through the Taco Bell drive thru but decided to go in bring me food in (which is allowed.) I hadn't had one drink and I had been eating at a table for 10 minutes and someone working there came up to me and told me I can't have anymore drinks. It's was very odd. I wasn't even acting drunk I was literally sitting at a table eating Taco Bell talking with my friend. Anyway a couple of my friends kept buying me shots after that and they didn't kick me out so there's that. So just beware of some snarky workers.Definitely start your night here and end your night here if you're doing a fry crawl! This bar will always have a crowd.

went here for the first time last night & was very unimpressed to say the least. bartender's were frustrated when i asked for my mexican candy to be remade because there were about 3oz of sour put into it (don't know when MC's started calling for sour mix at all but whatever). then i asked for my check before running my card to make sure the MC i sent back wasn't on there (it was) and immediately after he hands me my check he runs my card, i always use a credit card when going out for these types of reasons, but being a fellow high volume bartender just cross your T's and dot your I's because you're not always serving drunk, ignorant to the service industry college kids. still provide some kind of customer service. it's really not that hard...

great prices good drinks decent atmosphere. great bar for someone who doesnt want to spend a million dollars on a night out

Any business that supports teachers is good in myBook. Shout out to Lou's for hosting a teacher appreciation night and giving out numerous gift cards and paying for 3 teachers classroom wishlist (. I was one of them). You all definitely have a loyal customer now. Thank you. Oh and ps the drinks were cheap and good

Honestly my favorite bar on Fry Street. The shots are amazing & at a good price! One of my favorite places to go without friends. Try the Mean Green Shot!

Best bar to hang out in Denton . Great bartender and awesome crowd. You can bring your own food . We got if from cooked crust next door. It's open till late and have great collection of cocktails and beer.

We had a group of 7-8 people for a night on Fry Street, and Lucky Lou's was our second stop. It started off really well with good drinks and jumbo Jenga! When we finally finished our game and cheered over it, one of our friends showed up. We met her at the door and hugged her. However, the chick at the door checking IDs, told us that the manager was watching us and if we didn't chill out, they would kick us out. We weren't being very loud and we weren't disrupting anybody, even though it's a bar. Other than the rude accusation, it was a pretty fun experience.

Called ahead to ask about a specific basketball game, and if they would be playing it on tuesday. The bartender that answered assured me that they would be. After arriving at the bar, they turned the game off in front of our faces in the middle of the second quarter. I asked the bartenders to turn it back on and explained that we had called before, and no one seemed to give a single fuck. They turned on a soccer game instead, and had five of their sevens playing the same game while I had called ahead and specifically requested to have this one game played that other people were also watching. completely fucking disrespectful to the patrons trying to enjoy a separate game from the one already being played on the majority of the TV's in the establishment.

I went to lucky Lou's looking for an old fashioned got my drink and everything was great gave the bartender my card Brunet without glasses. And it was great, however I was asked multiple times but the glasses and red head that if I needed help and I told them yes I want to close out my tab and the brunet without the glasses helped me so I was waiting on her. (Assuming she had to close me out.) I stood and waited 15 min while she helped others around me, she looked at me asked me what I wanted i informed her multiple times I wanted to close my tab And I was continually ignored after telling her so I waited and the red head grabbed her and told her I am waiting on her she looked at me and walked over while not busy and asked what I needed again, I told her I wanted to close my tab and she walked away and didn't help me. I had to wait another 5 min only for her to walk over and rudely brush me off and say "Anyone can close your tab." Like I should know how the business ran. I got fed up and went to the the brunet with the glasses and closed my tab after waiting, and not wanting to deal with the other girl. When I asked about who the tip was going to, I was told it was shared and I told the girl with the glasses I wasn't going to leave a tip on my card. She then cut me off and wouldn't let me speak as I was trying to tell her about the horrible customer service and give her a cash tip for the help. But I was rudely talked over and cut off and told she doesn't care what I have to say. I have never had such a bad experience at any bar and I understand being busy and missing things but when people are picked after me and get severed 3 times and with open spots in like only to be avoided and ignored. It's sad, not for my sake but for the owner this is the staff you have serving customers and scaring off business and these are the typeof people that will run the business into the ground.
