Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken

The Chicken is good, would have been better if it was freshly fried like my piece of fish. But the Dirty Rice and Red Beans and rice are HORRENDOUS, the red beans taste like they used gumbo juice and added a pitcher of pepper. I see why everyone gets the fries from here. The service was pretty decent, the lady at the register was nice"ish" and that's good. The restaurant was clean and empty, chairs were spaced apart for Covid-19. Huge photos of the chicken on the walls.

I'm giving 1 star because this specific store challenged my old review and had it deleted!!!Customer service is horrible!!! Lady upfront is very rude and impatient and doesn't wear gloves when handling the money and food!! Silence this review

Great fresh quality. The chicken skin is flavorful and crispy and came out fresh. My wife is cambodian so when we tried the shrimp fried rice the flavors were very authentic and one of the most flavorful fried rice you can get. Overall great food and friendly staff.

Stopped here yesterday wanting some catfish and rice. I didn't know they had shrimp fried rice, so I decided to get that along with one piece of fish and some strawberry cheesecake. Initially, the rice was not very flavorful. However, it got better as I ate it. The shrimp tasted great and seasoned well. The catfish was also seasoned well and not overly salty. I should have just gotten a catfish combo, though because the fish was better than the rice (the shrimp comes close). The cheesecake was smooth and not too sweet, but it didn't really have much strawberry flavor to it. Service was fine, but I do wish they could package the food a bit differently, especially greasy food. Overall, I will be back because their fish alone is worth it!

I found this place when I went to Sam's Club and when I was pumping gas I smelled the fried chicken all the way from there. I decided to give it a shot. Inside there is no dining as the tables and chairs all are in one area and the bathroom is blocked. There is a place you can sit, but it feels empty. It looks really old and run down like things have not changed back in the 1976's when the place opened up and not so sure how much they clean the place up.The prices I can not complain about as they are cheap. I ordered the 2pc combo which comes with a drink and fries for $8.00. Be warned the food does take awhile to cook because they cook it for quite some time for 15 minutes as well as the fries. They do have daily specials which are cheap too in front, but I am sure it is everyday.The chicken overall is really good and I ended up getting a thigh, breast and wing an extra piece. Good thing they gave me that extra piece as the chicken breast was really dry and nasty that I could not eat the whole thing. The fries was good to. Since there was no in door dining and I was really hungry I ended up eating the chicken in the car which was a mistake as the chicken was hot and I drop it on my jacket and it needs to be washed to get rid of all of the grease. Other than that I would come back, but it is something where I could eat once in awhile as it was really greasy and my stomach did not thank me later.

0 customer service. Tried to call before we drove up there, and no one answered. The man at the front could care less if you live or you die. The phone rang off the hook while I waited, but was only answered once.People in this shopping area drive insane, and will crash into you or run you over. Homeless people hanging out outside. The regular fried chicken was delicious and the rolls were good. Dirty rice was overcooked and flavorless. The mashed potatoes had a strange sweetness. They were worse quality than grocery store powdered potatoes. Probably won't be back.

The food is always fresh and fried to perfection. The catfish is cooked well but pretty bland. The chicken and shrimp however are good.

I love specials! And this place had several. They had so many that they couldn't fit on the wall and were streamed from the counter as a continuance. Got 2 pieces of fish (bass) and 3 pieces of chicken with fries for $8. Win!The fish was so fresh and flaky, it was like eating the clean version of catfish. The batter wasn't all thick and tore away with the fish, also seasoned well. The chicken was great. Again, seasoned great... the skin (I'm a sucker for fried chicken skin and if you say you're not, you're a liar lol) was damn good :) even the fries were better than McDonalds fries in the 90s. Bruh, get you some... NOW!

Good here is amazing but don't expect star treatment. Asian here yelled at me in front of customers when I told him he didn't have to be rude. He didn't care and continued. Will never come here again. Women beware of coming here!

I LOVE Good food and this place did not disappoint. Back home in North Louisiana and South Arkansas there is Chic A Dilly and in North Louisiana there is Southern Classic...wrll this is the closest to these places in the the Dallas area we can get!!! They also have fish and shrimp and other Louisiana favorites like red beans and rice. Most importantly...they are WAY better than Rudy`s. I will only support Rudy`s because they are a stable in the community but when it comes to good cooked food...no..LOLThey did need to change the oil and they could have got 5 stars.Yes..I will be back soon
