Louie's

I went here one weekend with some friends and we ate at the bar. We shared a few Large 14" Pepperoni Pizzas $17.00 each. The crust is cracker like, crunchy and semi charred. The cheese has a good pull and the sauce was tasty. The pepperoni topping was a little stingy but a solid pizza overall. It is a pretty small place so parking is limited. The service was alright at best but I would gladly go back for their pizza.

An interesting establishment. Hard to find a parking space. There's almost always a line waiting to get in when they open at 5:30 because of the small dining area. Ambience is a dive bar. First you have to realize that it seems they're kind of pissed you even came there. Definitely the most unfriendly service you will find in Dallas based on my experience but that's part of the charm. They do not want you to set the pace for dinner. In fact, they will tell you it takes over an hour to get a pizza which is not accurate. They say that to get you to order as quickly as possible. Martinis are basic, but also very good. We really like the crab finger appetizer and had two of them. The Greek salads are fantastic. We had two to split between six people, and there was some left over. We went for the pizza, which is ok, but frankly not great. Slightly overcooked in our experience. Prices are reasonable. Lucky for them they already put in a 20% gratuity since they were six of us I guess. As I asked one of my friends at the table about the tip and if he wanted to add more, he said "I'm not tipping people to be insulted". That kind of summed up the wait staff experience.

Louie's restaurant is exceptional! They boast ice cold martinis, and they do live up to the fame. The winner of the night was the Greek salad and pizza. The thin crust was exceptional and cheese and toppings are what pizza dreams are made of. Yes, the hostess was a little gruff, but the food well made up for it.

This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences ever at an established resteraunt. The resteraunt closes at 9, we arrived at 8:15 with no prior knowledge that they stop seating people nearly an hour before closing time. We asked to speak to the hostess since nobody was approaching us and she said "obviously I'm busy right now" and then proceeded to keep walking off. When she came back she was extremely nasty and brash, and kept saying that she is closing at 9 and there is no list and clearly we do not understand what she was saying while we simply asked a question of whether or not we should keep waiting or leave (there was only 1 person ahead of us). The way she was conversing with us was honestly appalling for someone that has a role within not only the resteraunt industry, but with customer service. As we walked out she called us a dumb c*nt and then when we said you know we can hear what you said she just stuttered and didn't know what to say. All to say that this is the most shocking and WORST interaction with someone at a restaurant. We will definitely never be going there again and encourage you not to either unless you'd like to be called an unnecessary and disgusting name by workers.

Showed up to ask how long the wait is, the hostess said, "I'm obviously too busy right now", came back and started speaking to me in the most absolute disrespectful, disgusting way to speak to not only a customer but a person. Long story short, I asked her how long the wait time is and it resulted in her calling me a "dumb c*nt" on the way out! Never have I experienced something like this and am shocked that a person that is at work would speak to a customer like this.

Louie's is a Dallas gem. Best pizza, Caesar salad, and Martini in town. The sauce is a culinary miracle.

Greek Salad was amazing and so was the pizza. Staff were fast and attentive. Felt like a NYC or Chicago style dive bar with serval giant TV's. Highly recommend! Next time need to try their martini's

Wish I had read reviews before going out on a night it was below freezing. Their website does not say that you can not get in if you are under 21. The voicemail does say no children, but I don't really think of my 19 year old as a child. We had 6 people in our group. I totally agree that you can have any rules for your establishment that you want, but why would you not post them on your website. People who do not care to waste others people time are the worst.
