Had a good time here at Louie Louie's. The 4 musicians we saw were all pretty talented and funny. Especially, for an early, 7:30, Thursday night. No cover though. We only stayed for a couple drinks, but it was still a good time.Good, friendly bartender, John, I think.Worth checking out if you like dueling pianos. We did hear that the line can get long on the weekend.

After an amazing dinner at Harpers, a bunch of us decided the night was still young, time to have more fun! We walked to nearby Louie Louie's Dueling Piano Bar.I love music! I love piano bars! Having some drinks with friends, listening to great music and have good laughs, thats what you get at a good piano bar. Thing is Louie Louie's is a great piano bar. The musicians don't just play the classics, they know how to entertain the patrons by being humorous. Firstly, they are good sports. One of our group, wanted to hear Princess Peach from the Super Mario movie. Usually in prior Piano Bars, I have gone to, they will not accept to play certain songs... no one else in my group had the gall to ask... so i wrote the song on a napkin. Then i wrote one i wanted which was Piano Man by Billy Joel. I went up and placed both songs at the piano with my money. I explained the Princess Peach song was for the beautiful young woman at our table. They were like dude it's ok. So they actually went and sang Princess Peach. Everyone in the bar laughed, i was dying of laughter, and my friend was happy. Other piano bars would have refused to do it.Secondly, they entertain the crowd by being funny and creative. Several times they either created a drinking song out of their own heads through improvisation or they took a classic song and changed it up. Piano Man, which I asked for, they turned it raunchy and funny! One thing to note, they are embracing tech as you can pay/request songs the old fashioned way with a cocktail napkin and cash or through a website and Venmo. Each table had a QR code... neat! Drinks were great! Company was great! We all had a good time. At midnight, I needed to go back to my hotel room. Wish this experience could have lasted longer and I did not have to go to another half day of conference and then fly back home.Louis Louie... you and your musicians and staff... you're awesome!!!!

Apparently you can be 70 years old and forget your ID and still get turned away on a Tuesday night by a smug doorman who cites "policy" as a reason not to exercise basic common sense.I do get it though; they don't want minors drinking, and allowing your doorman to exercise an iota of discretion is an inherent risk. Every business has to decide how much risk they want to take and how they want to balance that with other factors, such as the customer experience, and make decisions accordingly. The decision to turn away anyone without ID, regardless of whether they even remotely appear to be under 21 and even when offering to show a picture of an ID, is an extreme on the scale of that balance. Maybe sometimes it keeps a minor from getting in; tonight, it just led to disappointment among people who were trying to celebrate a birthday together. The doorman was incredulous that someone would walk around with no ID. First, we were out for dinner in the area and hadn't planned to be drinking. Second, when you go enough years without being carded and aren't driving, carrying ID becomes more of a hassle than anything and just becomes an easy thing to lose.Anyway, maybe it's curmudgeony to write a review for this, and I'll take that criticism. And, I think it's petty and disrespectful to have a policy that leaves no room for exercising common sense, at the expense of your would-be customers.

It was fun, cool to see and the performers were very talented. As we were leaving, they accidentally switched my sister's receipt with mine when she closed out, and then I had to close hers. But it also turned out my tab had an extra something on it because I had 1 can seltzer and it was a $20 tab. So the $15 cover and the tab mix up made it all kinda annoying

I love this place!!! Such great vibe! And I love Amanda! I think her name was Amanda! I told myself to write a review right away but it's been 2 weeks now and my memory is a bit faded! We came here to celebrate a retirement and a birthday. It was a Tuesday night so there weren't that many people but our group made the party! Everyone was so nice and their drinks are good, great bartender! I would have loved to be able to be here on the weekend, no doubt it would be the place to be! Highly recommend you check them out if you're in town!

Such a fun place! We actually went twice in one week: on a Wednesday there were about 10 people in the crowd, still fun. We went on a Saturday and there was a$10 cover and nowhere to sit, but it was the best time! It's in Deep Ellum so parking is tough during busier times. The musicians are fun and so talented, the crowd gets really into it, it's almost like a karaoke concert where you make suggestions on what to hear. I think they base the next song off how much tip they get from the request.I did not try the food so can't speak to that, but it smelled good. Would definitely return! I wish there were more locations since I don't live in Dallas.

If you love music and comedy, this place does it all. Although, the surrounding area is considered a bit rough by the locals, this place is a MUST VISIT. Get in early to get a set, there is no bad seat in the house, and they really pack the house on a Saturday night. Audience involvement is mandatory here, so be prepared to sing along and tip the talent, because they are singers and musicians and pretty damn funny. Don't hesitate to request a song or two, they look forward to those requests. In a place like this the only things that are stiff are the drinks, so rest assured all of the staff are great. Cheers!

The entertainment was fun on a Friday night. You could give cash and or Venmo to request songs. Venmo was a bit slow in response, but who carries money nowadays? They do have a cover charge and no exception, even for veterans. I mention this because other piano bars have discounts and or free options. They had a cider option, but it was only available in can form, which was not a fan of as I prefer draft cider while hanging out for an evening.

Gave a $20 for a song but it was worthless. they have a preset list of songs they want to sing. I went back up to the singers to put an additional $5 on my song to get them to play it faster (as I didn't see anyone put more than $20 for a song and I was confused why it hasn't been played for 2 hours) and the $20 was wiped off my request. They pocketed it without playing the song and had my napkin in the queue without anything on top. Annoying.
