The salsas are either loaded with garlic or oregano, but I wasn't crazy on any of the three. Had a fajita taco, which dripped so much grease onto plate. They make the gorditas like sopes...never had a gordita with beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. That's usually a sope. Not to mention the asada gordita is $5 and the meat is very greasy and fatty! This place isn't very visible, but will be my first and last time eating here.

Great tacos! Great price. We moved from AZ and do not appreciate Tex-mex with everything smothered in cheese and only some corn tortilla options. This taco shop is the real deal if you want delicious tacos that taste like they should, homemade! No need to smother in cheese to make them tasty! Cilantro, onions and lime are the only toppings needed.

This place is good. The food is tasty and the plates are large. Three different salsas and limes provided without asking. Homemade corn tortillas. The wait staff is attentive, polite, and making a professional effort.

Every yelper has their method of grading each place....With that said,I cant give this place 3 stars for its location or its unattractive exterior facade, because what Taqueria supersedes these expectations?? Granted it was hard to spot from the road, it gave me the impression that this place was small, but once i walked in, it was very much open and dare i say larger than at least 40% of taquerias in the DFW.We were greeted and allowed to sit where we'd like. Once we sat down, the waittress attended us very quickly. We order horchatas, which were delicious and approve my standards. I then ordered the fajita quesadilla platter, which came with beans and rice, and my gf ordered the shrimp enchiladas(red) platter. My quesadilla was simply amazing, it was like they read my mind and knew, give this guy a good amount of meat cause he loves to eat and he lifts weights on the regular, the cheese was delicious and it was enjoyable to eat. It wasn't over greasy or anything which was a plus for me. The rice was very good and flavorful and i had no complaints on the beans. The amount of avocado given was enough to enjoy every bite with my quesadilla. My gf enjoyed her shrimp quesadillas, she let me snatch a bite(amazing gf) and it was soo good, and I know will definitely try that next time!If i had to just complain on one thing it would be.... that they charge for a second round of chips....Yes the first round is complimentary but once your orders arrive, they retire the chips and if you ask for more they will tell you its .$1.50 for more....smh... i don't agree on that business concept...but again it wasn't a deal breaker for me....This place will quickly be my go to spot to eat mexican food when i'm at home... amazing authentic mexican food check!...distance wise... close to me check!FYI - My review reflects coming in on a sunday afternoon around 4pm.. calm, not too crazy, no shows.... no drunk crowds....so given the factors the experience was great!

In my opinion, OUTSTANDING! I'm a Tacos La Banqueta devotee big time, and what I just had for lunch here easily rivals TLB. I see some of the other reviews here weren't quite as impressed as I was, but ¡Holy Chicharrones! was this good! (skip to the end for food comments).Driving by on a Wednesday around lunch I realized I was near this spot thats been on my list for a little while so it was the perfect time to stop in. VERY uncrowded for lunch time, unfortunately, but the place is a tad off the beaten path. This is located behind Keller's on NW Hwy, but you access it off of Abrams after that McDonald's.Pretty deceptive from the outside--upon entering what you expect to be a gas station bathroom sized hole in the wall, the place is actually BIG and open on the inside! Its more than a taqueria--its a full restaurant with a fantastic menu featuring things for gringos and also more authentic actual Mexican dishes. My service was really good, but I was almost the only customer in the place. Have to assume it gets busier at night?I was really just looking for tacos, so I spotted that section of the menu quickly and decided to really test them--I got one each of lengua, tripas (crispy), chicharrones, and surprise! cabrito!I've actually never had cabrito before. While that was going on they delivered the standard chips/hot sauce which was also excellent.Tacos arrived shortly thereafter and looked great--first thing I devoured (and I did, too, munching and slurping fingers and stuff...don't judge) was the lengua which was super tasty and succulent. Next was tripas that was every bit as awesome as La Banqueta--and that's my favorite taco of theirs. Then the orangey/red cabrito that I super loved also, and finally finished with the chicharrones and was super surprised at how tasty and awesome it was. The chicharrones was prepared and served in a slightly warm/spicy orange sauce that was delicious!Man I was stuffed--$7.50 for all of that and I would've paid more gladly. Can't wait to bring friends back here for an evening and try some of the full dishes on their menu. I highly recommend!

I had the enchiladas Rojas and my girlfriend ordered the enchiladas verdes. We both finished our whole plates because everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. After dining in, we decided to order 10 tacos to go to eat later because the food was so good. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
