I decided to stay here for the history and location but more for that fact that this exact hotel is where the great Tina Turner found refuge as she escaped the plight of her husband Ike! The hotel is very artsy and the vibes are nice. There's plenty to keep you engaged when staying here. It's centrally located to the downtown Dallas area. The Farmer's Market is close by and on site there's a restaurant ran by the hotel and one right outside which is a to go order style restaurant. The hotel has a nice pool area and exercise site. You can literally take a tour of the hotel and see beautiful pictures on display and if you're lucky you may get to "stay in the escape level" where Tina was!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Lorenzo Hotel in downtown Dallas!I was able to have a package delivered to the hotel before my stay, and picking it up upon check-in was a smooth process. My only gripe was that I felt that the staff person checking me in was speaking in a rushed tone, which I found irritating because I was trying to keep track in my mind all the things I needed to ask and remember (parking, my package, how to use the $15 food and beverage credit...). At check-in, I did receive a really cool sugar cookie, so that was a plus!My room was spacious and clean, and the perfect place to relax after a long work week. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to check out the pool even though I had packed all my gear. I did go by the fitness room however, which had an ample amount of equipment, though the center was relatively small. I was able to use my $15 food and beverage credit at the Hamilton's restaurant in-house, where I purchased a cappuccino and an eggs benedict made vegetarian. The cappuccino felt like it was on the larger side and could have used more foam, but overall it was delicious. The eggs benedict dish was filling and I love how the cubed potatoes were nice and crisp. There was also PLENTY of ketchup to go around. Parking at the hotel ends up being a little over $20 for overnight parking, which is definitely on the pricey side since it is Dallas (not NYC or LA) and the parking is outdoor with no shade. The neighborhood itself definitely has an artsy vibe and I was able to go for a morning run during my stay and encounter barely any traffic.

I loved my stay!!! We didn't travel with a car so the only thing I can say about parking is they have a lot. This hotel is a little off the beaten path of downtown but a few short minutes in an Uber from downtown activities. On Saturdays in summer they have an outdoor pool party that includes a DJ..There is an outdoor bar so you don't have to deal with the hassle of going inside to the bar. Our room was clean and the halls were quiet. In four nights, I don't recall waiting long for an elevator or bumping into people at the elevator If you are looking for a nice clean stay with an environment that's a whole Vibe Lorenzo is your place!

First to review? Must be first as a Hilton Tapestry property because I know this hotel has been here for a long time. Legend has it that this is the property where Tina Turner escaped from Ike when she escaped his rein of terror. Tonight on my drive to Dallas, it showed up as close in my Hilton app and voilà.... less than $200 on this Thursday / Friday, so here I stay! Is this three, four or five stars.... Since I have the honor of first review 5 stars! The hotel has exceptional art throughout.. For anyone who enjoys art this is a bonus at Lorenzo. The way this property was renovated. You can tell someone put a lot of time and effort and thought into it. Congratulations to Help for investing in this property.Easy parking $20 overnight- pay online *see also belowFunky style - not exactly what I need for my zooms in the morning, but you're welcome departure from the norm.Pool, restaurant, bar, check. Ate breakfast and dinner at the lobby restaurant Hamilton and both were good. Good coffee, good bar, & friendly staff. Rooms - nice rooms with big windows and some have views. Decor and beds will not be for everybody. Not too loud even though right on top of I35Neon, shag carpet, art, checkA few areas for improvement The parking payment system is unusual. You have to login to a website to pay $20 online for overnight parking. I suspect this is the honor system because I can't imagine someone's out there checking every license plate. However the parking lot is nice and very close to the front door and better than most full service hotel. The taco place in front of the hotel needs friendlier staff, or some training. Early in the morning, you have to go outside the hotel to get coffee because the taco place opens earlier than the restaurant the hotel. One thing, business travelers want especially is coffee in the morning. With that said the hotel has really good coffee and a friendly staff in the restaurant and food. They just need someone to be there early to serve coffee.

I absolutely love LOVE Love this hotel. We stayed here on a whim back in July and I've become obsessed. So when my bf booked a staycation here for my birthday I was thrilled. This hotel is a legit art museum and it's everywhere! Every room we have stayed in has been so beautiful and every floor even the pool displays intriguing art and themes. The restaurant is amazing and the food is so delicious m. You honestly don't have to leave for food if you don't want to. The parking is also reasonable $20 a day and can go and enter as you please. They have a garage or an open parking lot. The location is also great we were only 5 mins from our dinner reservations downtown. Every-time I visit Dallas I will continue to stay here. The customer service is 10/10 too everyone is friendly and helpful.

Whomever designed the Lorenzo Hotel in downtown Dallas needs a medal. If you're an art person, this hotel is for you. It's sooooo unique and creative. I'm in love! From its funky design to its vibrant atmosphere, every corner of this hotel is a visual overload. Example. The carpet in my room was manufactured by the Shaw Carpet company quoting Hamlet's Soliloquy! "To be or not to be -- that is the question:" Pretty cool eh? It's got 237 rooms and a convenient restaurant. Situated in the heart of downtown Dallas, The Lorenzo is perfectly positioned for exploring the city's food and entertainment scene. So stylish! Be a cool kid. Stay here!

This artsy fartsy hotel used to be a Ramada Inn. It's where Tina Turner stayed when she escaped from Ike Turner (the room she actually stayed in that fateful night had been dubbed the "escape suite.) Our stay was uneventful. Our room was quite spacious. The pool area was nice and our room had a lovely view of the downtown skyline, which is really pretty at night. There was construction going on that left the road closed some days, but it was a minor inconvenience. The only thing I would change is that the parking lot is highly accessible to anyone walking around; I wish it was closed off or at least gated. Overall, it was a nice stay!

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Lorenzo Hotel in Downtown Dallas! The staff were very friendly and overly accommodating. Came to town for a wedding in Downtown Dallas. I was about to get an early check-in. Which was very helpful traveling with a 6-month old. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel has been updated and I LOVED the large mirrors in the hallways and the room. Lots and lots of mirrors throughout the hotel. Room service was very fast. The food was so-so. But the service was lightening speed!! I was also able to get a late check-out as I had a late flight. Very happy that the hotel was able to accommodate these arrangements. The hotel location is not right in the heart of downtown, but it is a 4 minute or $7 uber drive from everything downtown. I enjoyed the hotel's location, as it was quiet and kinda away from everything. Would highly recommend the Lorenzo.

Although I wasn't staying at the hotel in a moment of panic and chaos some of my teams, family, and I had to evacuate the convention center and they let us stay and kept us comfortable and safe after everything we experienced.
