Lofty Spaces

I've been to two events at Lofty Spaces, first in 2022 and the second time on Saturday. It's hard to review this venue as it's hard to separate my opinions of the event promotors' execution from those of the venue itself. To start, Lofty Spaces has an indoor and outdoor courtyard to use. The first event I attended here was a "Trap Wine Tasting" event and the outdoor parking lot was also used for a stage, vendor tables, and food trucks. The parking lot is small, but there's a huge open grassy lot across the street which is used for parking here. Random.The flow of the event that I attended there in 2022, was odd as in order to get food and sample the wine (at a wine tasting event), you had to go outside and then come back through the courtyard into the indoor building to actually sit. There were no seats or tables outside or in the courtyard. It led to a lot of congestion in getting to and from the wine and food, and in going through the door/hallway to get outside. It was weird.At the event I attended on Sunday (The Vanguard), which is an art show, there were waaaaaaaaay too many people in attendance. There was only one drink line which took up the most of the courtyard. The inside building exhibited the artwork but it was packed so it was hard to actually walk around and enjoy yourself or take in the art. It was also loud and very warm in places. It would have made more sense to open the garage door to let some air in, but at least we could walk outside if we needed some air. All and all, this isn't a bad rental space, but it could be better, or at least the event organizers could plan for a better layout of the space provided or not sell tickets at capacity so that attendees can enjoy themselves more.

If you are even contemplating a summer event in Dallas - run for your life from this place. NO "working" A/C. It was sweltering hot in the room and the management teams said "they had had it running all weekend" so that it would be cooled off for the Sunday evening event. NOT SO! The next answer was - don't worry, it will cool down in here when the sun goes down. Terrific - since sunset isn't until roughly 9:00 p.m. in June and the event end time was 8:30. BEWARE!!!! Shady management, people and a horrible event space for outside temperatures that require inside air conditioning!!

Where do I even begin?!Lofty Spaces was the very first venue I looked at when I was scouting for my wedding. They were so accommodating and included a lot with the rental!Bruce was very attentive throughout the process. His communication was on point! Any questions or concerns I had I never hesitated to ask. He was quick with his response and was eager to help you get what you wanted for your wedding.Ladell was a key player for the day of the wedding. He was so great with my team and vendors. Ladell was full of knowledge of the venue itself and super handy with setup. He made me feel at ease all through the planning and even the day of the wedding! These 2 guys have gone above and beyond what I had expected! I'm so happy we went with Lofty Spaces cause without them I wouldn't have had the wedding of my dreams. I suggest everyone renting out any of their 3 spaces, they were such a pleasure to work with!YAY!!!!

double booked the venue on the day of my event causing me to not be able to enter at time reserved, failed to set up stage properly paid for with them, lights and power went out several times , owner turned lights out and made dj turn off music in middle of show not compensated for time lost due to double booking and power outages . very rude service and staff . Find another venue these people only want your money and wont deliver quality service

NO STARS! STOP renting out this place until you get your AC fixed. You owe many people an apology for having them inside this venue in June and it's 97 degrees outside. If you can't afford to fix it, shut it down!

The space was great! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING!!! I'm only giving a 1 star because I can not put a star period!! That is the ONLY positive thing I could say about this place! There was NO A/C in the bridal suite! With temps being over 100 degrees outside! The customer service was NONE EXISTENT! The "security" was a joke and rude right along with the "owner" I'm assuming! ( I couldn't tell by the way he was dressed,that he was in charge of anything!!) Not even sure if they had a liquor license, since it was a BYOB! There was absolutely NO professionalism AT ALL!! Please DO NOT get sucked in to the "extra fees" that they try to charge at the last minute as well!!

No Air... Prior party still in location when we arrived, customer service sucked, security was a joke so don't pay for that last min charge...DONT BOOK HERE IN THE SUMMER!!! PERIODIt's really crazy reading some of the reviews from the last few months because I shared in the same experience. We had a graduation party planned on May 29, 2022 for 4 high school graduates in our family so this was a very special moment and exiting time for the grads. When we pulled up to the venue at 4:42pm there was a party still in the space and it didn't look as it they were breaking down anything or preparing to exit any time soon. We waited because per our contract we didn't occupy the space until 5pm. When 5pm came the prior party was still there so my family and I assisted in the cleaning and clearing out. It's not on that party as they didn't know we were coming and what time they needed to exit but I had to ask the brother to encourage them to leave so we could finish setting it up, that was at 5:17pm.Then the A/C issue... it was sooo hot in there so much so I called the fire marshal to report this place and I hope they do a pop up. I called the city to report a few code violations as well. I was told it's only hot because it's TX and it's 92 degrees outside... BS! Even when the sun went down (because we had the venue until 11pm) it was still hot!Projector -- Note -- they have projector but the piece they have to connect is antiquated so I had to but and adaptor.David Galinet (is the name per the email) does the scheduling and is professional when he's taking your money but when it's time to accommodate, when they are wrong, he is no where to be found and ignores your emails. When asked to make his wrong right he not willing at all.I am beyond disappointed in this place as it's a great place and I really wanted to return as a client but I WILL NEVA!

ZERO RATING!! POOR SERVICE!! DONT BOOK HERE!! CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!! I attended a Bootcamp at this establishment on May 7th. Event started at 9:15 and around 10a my car and over 10 others were broken into. Personal items were stolen. This guy (owners brother) claims that he was patrolling but didn't see anything. I smell lies!! This guy seemed weird from the beginning because he would walk inside the event to check on us and then go back outside to do whatever he was doing (plotting to steal from us clearly) CLOSE THIS TRASH DOWN!!!

It was a nice building lots of open space and kitchen. However it's not for all events! If you are having an event that requires you plugging something into their electrical socket, then this is NOT the place for you. Multiple power outages that caused a delay at our event. And having to HURT someone down to fix the problem was the worst! We made it to the end only for the light to be turned off on us because we ran over time due to their power outage!

Awesome event space. Fun industrial ambience. Catering/ food was great. Look forward to more events here!
