We absolutely love this mom and pop ice cream place. The folks who own this establishment make you feel right at home. Each Texas-sized scoop is rich, creamy and made fresh in house, can't get much better than that! There are many flavors to choose from and each has its own unique flavor profile. They also offer coconut based dairy free options of some of their flavors. Some of our favorites are: The Panther (seasonal), The Wildcat (seasonal), Mint Chip, Strawberry, Birthday Cake, and Vanilla. I love the vanilla on top of the brownie square, as it is perfect for sharing. The brownie is huge and is definitely shareable. They also have cookies, cones and toppings to add to your ice cream. The dining area is always clean and well maintained. We always enjoy our visit each time we drop in!

Great flavors and surprisingly creamy and delicious dairy free options! In addition to the great ice cream, the staff is friendly, patient and so kind! The waffle cone is the perfect texture and just as delicious as the ice cream. This has become my favorite place to grab some ice cream!

We've found our new favorite ice cream shop!!! Not only is the inside clean and welcoming with plenty of seating, everything is made fresh in-house. There are no artificial colors or flavors and they have DAIRY FREE ice cream that actually tastes really good!Our kids were squealing as they looked at each flavor, discovered the brownie and cookie bowls, saw the chocolate dipped cones with sprinkles and then beheld all the a la carte toppings.I was so pleased with the flavors of dairy free ice cream, especially the strawberry.The cost is 100% comparable to what ice cream goes for these days and the scoop size was decent.We enjoyed our treats then played aaa couple games from the plethora of games they offer & even enjoyed the chalk drawings out front which is available to the kiddos.We will certainly be back!

Best ice cream in DFW!! So many gluten and dairy free options - and they're all so good. Clean, nice ambiance, will definitely be back.

Really yummy, thick ice cream. I got the brookie flavor which packed with cookies. My son and mom both got death by chocolate and they both dubbed it "the best ice cream they ever had".Bonus points for having seating and games, most local places are take-out only.

I had the chance to have ice cream here just yesterday- oh man! The coffee crunch is amazing!! Waffle cones are fresh made on site, service was excellent! Highly recommend!

Overall we had a nice experience at the Local Creamery. We went on a Tuesday night before heading over to HEB to do some grocery shopping. I was surprised at how busy they were for a Tuesday evening but it is still summer so ice cream must've sounded nice to more than just us. It's a cute shop but easy to miss if you're driving down Preston. We ordered a brownie and double dip waffle cone with cookies n cream and coffee (crunch?) flavors. The brownie was great! Moist and fudgy plus it was a decent size. The ice cream was a little lack luster but still tasty. While we sampled one flavor (Bluebonnet) and the female attendant told the male helping us that they had given away over $1k in samples this month so he needed to limit samples. We had one sample and I wanted to try another one but based on this conversation (said loud enough for all of those in line to hear), I opted to just get the one sample and forgo and second cone. They must've have been out of several flavors because the menu/flavor board was half filled and several of the of ice cream containers were empty. This could have been because it was towards the end of the month and they were switching over flavors but a little odd/disappointing.

Ice cream is super yummy! Me and the fam came in on Sunday and Gracie was amazing, she gave us great recommendations and made our visit a blessing! We will be returning very soon!
