I ate here on Saturday night at the Truck Yard. My husband and I ordered gyros, --his included chicken -- shared a side of Greek Fries, a baklava and two bottles of water. Once we ordered, we were handed a buzzer, like they give you in a restaurant. Our meal came to around $26. For a food truck, I was expecting to pay a little more, so I was pleased with the price. Once we dug into our food, we realized we couldn't tell which gyro was which. So, we eat picked one and hoped for the best. Luckily we didn't have to trade. The Greek Fries, were just plain, regular french fries. Our friends fries had feta crumbled on top. The baklava was the highlight of our meal. All in all, this was not a stand out meal. But, it wasn't disgusting either. I might give them another chance.

The nation of Greece should take legal action against the use of their country's name on this pathetic excuse for a food truck. Everything that's wrong with uninspired people making uninspired garbage. This is the exact food quality you would expect from a gas station in a bad neighborhood.Rude staff, front and back Packaged bread, thick and dryOverpriced $8 gyros are a disgraceDon't just walk away. Run.

Wow. While I'd thought at this point that I'd experienced most of the food trucks that run the Dallas circuit, Little Greek Food Truck was a newcomer that had slipped through my fingers. As they say, 'save the best for last', and that's more than applicable here. Next to Easy Slider (http://www.yelp.com/biz/easy-slider-dallas), Little Greek Food Truck is my favorite in town.Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? While it's a bit unusual that Little Greek Food Truck uses a cash register outside of the truck as opposed to serving and handling the money from the actual truck, the atmosphere was fine. Servers are fast and friendly, although I do need to point out that not taking American Express is an understated inconvenience. Guys, I know it's more expensive, but don't be 'that guy'. Star Granted.Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost?So here's the deal. Pitas and Kebabs are one of things that are absolutely brilliant on a cool European evening because they're fast, they're sizable, and, most importantly, they're cheap. However, not unlike Indian food, Argentinian Empanadas and specialty desserts, Americans have ruined the fun by jacking up the prices since foreign treats are less readily available here in the states. With that in the back of my mind, I was fearful that I'd be charged double figgies for a medium-sized pita. Boy was I wrong. Take a look at some pics of this beastly Olympian (Dual Meat) Pita that ran me only $7.57:http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=DBXt2hry0VuRC42NeTX-pw&userid=OKX-V5j_qfuOebeHeWGrHghttp://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=fkvpzgHLQ8w04LvE9Wwn6A&userid=OKX-V5j_qfuOebeHeWGrHgAbsolutely glorious. What an amazing deal. Star Granted.Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?I'm blown away. Having grown up in Germany and since spent several years in London, I'm admittedly used to Turkish style doner wraps as opposed to Greek Pitas, but this pita experience was right on par with what you'll find overseas. A brilliant pita stuffed to the gills with fresh and tasty chicken and lamb, the garlic sauce was a cherry on top of a marvelous meaty cake. The proportions were perfect, the blend was devine, and the meal excellent. Dual stars granted. *EDIT: Yes, there used to be five stars here for Little Greek Food Truck, but having come back now several times, the consistency has dropped just a tick, with my last two visits resulting in dry meat and smaller portions! Not enough to get crazy here, but I've taken things down from five to four stars*Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? It's good stuff, but it doesn't quite top the reigning champion of Dallas food trucks, whose name is Easy Slider (http://www.yelp.com/biz/easy-slider-dallas). No Star Granted.

Yum! Got the gyro pita and WOW it was huge! They filled it with so much meat (and sauce)! Although I would much rather the tomatoes were cut up rather than just placed on top because it was very hard to eat that way. This was worth the $ and the wait (they take a slightly long time to prepare their food)I wish they had an option for a spicy sauce!

Greek food is good food, and I was impressed with the gyro I had from this truck at the Truck Yard. The gyro was big. It was packed with fresh veggies, tender meat, and zesty tzatziki. I did think it was a bit pricey, but hey, with the popularity of food trucks and the Truck Yard, I am not surprised. It does, however, seem to be better value than some of the other options at the Yard. I spoke to the owner, Cody, for a few minutes, and he's a friendly Dallas native who loves Greece and Greek food. I had a fun conversation with him while I waited for my order. It always a good sign about a business when an owner actually spends time there and reaches out to customers. Pistis, Elpis, Agape

I've eaten at this food truck a few times lately at the Truck Yard. Hubs and I both like the gyro pita and gyro tacos (when available on the specials board - wish they'd add this one to the main menu!). If you're craving Greek food, those items are worth a stop by this truck! The Greek fries and Greek salad didn't quite make the cut. The fries needed more seasoning - I love Greek seasoning and wished they had more of a kick. The feta cheese topping is a nice addition but without more seasoning, it's just feta cheese on fries. There wasn't much to the salad either. Stick to the gyro pita! The truck owner was very welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in making sure you had an enjoyable meal. Another plus!
