First of all, 3 large shelves of Mezcal, yes please! Tequila received an honorable mention with one shelf. I love when the bartender can educate me on the origin and the differences of the alcohol, create me a special drink based on my preferences, and may even pour me a couple of samples. Nikki, the bartender is a cutie and friendly. But J (I think), we called him Doc, was great. Go, have a good time, and have Uber downloaded on your phone. Enjoy!

Because it's 1 degree (-2 with the wind chill) in St Louis and I'm missing this Al pastor torta, mezcal, and 50 degree weather in Dallas. I don't have any additional words, just go visit Las Almas Rotas in Dallas. Trust me.

Las Almas Rotas is a hidden gem for mezcal lovers and soul-searchers alike! This cool little mezcaleria feels like a mashup of punk rock edge and the reverent ambiance of high mass; perfect for the broken souls looking to lift their spirits with a shot or three of mezcal. With over 200 varieties to explore, there's a taste for every palate, from the smooth and smoky to the wild and earthy. The vibe here is as unique as the mezcal selection, creating a perfect spot to unwind, discover new flavors, and soak in a truly unforgettable experience. This is also conveniently located across the Music Hall at Fair Park. It's a great place to get your mescal fix after a concert! The food is also amazing. You will not be disappointed!

Loved this place, I always pass by this location and have never been and it didn't disappoint. Pork belly chicharron melted in your mouth and elote was so flavorful. The staff was also so friendly, they kept checking on us, and made the vibe more welcoming and fun. Pablo was such a great bartender and so knowledgeable on mezcal and had the best food recommendations. Great, chill restaurant near Fair Park, great mezcal, live music, and so much fun. We'll be back.

My husband and his friend have been on a mezcal journey lately so we had to visit Las Almas. I tried a couple different mezcal cocktails and they were both well-balanced and delicious. The guys started with cocktails and moved to tastings. We decided to eat and wow, some of the best tacos and quesadillas I've ever had. Don't sleep on this place. It's legit! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about mezcals.

We absolutely loved this place.Atmosphere was great. Good music, friendly waitstaff and bartender, comfortable seating inside and out. Conveniently across the street from Fair Park.Drinks were amazing. Hundreds of bottles of mezcal and tequila. We sampled a couple of different ones and they were all delightful. The Passionfruit Paloma was my favorite. For food we sampled a few tacos which were all clean and tasted great. Chicken Tinga, Carne Asada, and Beef Lengua. The Esquites had great flavor. The bathrooms were clean and the back private lounge looked like something I would definitely rent for a gathering.Next time we're in Dallas we'll be back!

While waiting to go see Donny Osmond, we decided to eat here. The atmosphere and food are authentic. It's seat yourself with a rotation of servers which is unique. All the food we tried was so delicious. I forgot to take pics. We had the fresh guacamole and chips some of the best I've both that we've ever had. We also had the tacos and quesadillas! The quesadillas were the best we had all had!!! Margaritas were amazing! They even had a free shuttle to take us to Music Hall at Fairpark which was such a surprising bonus!

The second to last stop on our national Margarita day escapade! No specials....shocker. Not sure if our waitress knew where she was....didn't look a day over 17. These kids....i tell ya....We walked right in a grabbed a table to seat 4. It was dark, tight, humid.....I'm talking about the inside of the restaurant....We cooled off with a couple of margaritas that were on the sweet side, but I didn't hate them. Would've loved them even more if that were half off lolI digress....these people are in business to make money; and speaking of money, that steak quesadilla was the truth! Perfectly portioned seasoned steak; not tough or chewy in the grilled flour tortilla oozing with bubbly cheese!!!! That's a winner! The guac portion could feed 3-4 people. The chicharrones added some good texture....just needed a small pinch of salt. Las almas is alright with me!

LAR was very busy so there were a lot of people that like a dive like atmosphere--me, not so much. The margaritas were good as was the service except when I asked for a dinner plate instead of the cheap brown paper basket I was told no that they didn't serve tacos on their plates ( that is the first time I have been denied that preference). The order of three tacos is very small with no lettuce, tomatoes, or cheese. Meat was good as were the "soft" corn tortilla; however, your only choices of proteins are carne asada and chicken. The tortilla chips were thick and extra hard so there were crumbs everywhere. Those also were not my favorite since I like thin chips. The bathroom was interesting. There was no door into the bathroom. There were two stalls. One had a urinal and the one next to it had a commode. Not my thing! The main plus was that it was across the street from the fair grounds, and they let us leave our car for a three hour event . I was going to give a 2 star rating, but since there seemed to be a lot of regulars so I was feeling generous.
