Extremely disappointed. Have been here 20+ times and usually this place is pretty good.They had a new butcher that was clearly training cutting and plating. Usually a $30 meat plate feeds the 2 of us and there is still lots of leftovers to bring to my puppy.Today, the portion size was SO SMALL that it didn't even make us full. Service has been so slow too recently, food is cold by the time you get to the table.Instead of complaining in person, I'll go get the rest of my lunch somewhere else and leave this review.Not sure what happened to this place, it was outstanding at the start, now it just SUCKS!

I visited here recently in a trip to Dallas. It was a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. The restaurant is sort of like a cafeteria with a large menu at the front of the line and you walk along the counter picking which foods you want. I ordered the Wagyu brisket sandwich with mac& cheese and potato salad side dishes. The meat was literally melting in my mouth and it was cooked to perfection. The mac & cheese was also good, however, since it was sitting out it was not very hot. It was more on the lukewarm side. The potato salad was your standard potato salad but it was not bland at all. Coming from NYC, the price did not seem bad but from my friend, who is a local, said it was expensive for the area. Overall, I would recommend this place for an excellent Texan BBQ meal.

My husband and I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Oak'd and were thrilled to finally see the "Now Open" banner. We visited the second day of being opened (I told you, we were excited) and found our visit very enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.Akin to traditional BBQ joints, you order down a serving line with quick, kind service. We got the 3 meat plate (ribs, garlic pepper sausage, and brisket) with baked beans, potato salad and a large side of Mac 'n cheese. The ribs were really good and flavorful while the brisket was a bit fatty (likely on us as we didn't as for lean). The sausage was great (not spicy, a victory for this tame pallet of mine), slightly dry until dipped into the BBQ sauce. Loved the mac, just cheesy enough without being too rich and a nice flavor. To me, the beans had a kick but the husband enjoyed them along with his potato salad.They have great happy hour food and drink specials to go with their indoor/outdoor bar. There's also ample outdoor seating that will be perfect this fall. Let's just hope for NFL Sunday ticket so we can all post up here!

I got there 11:30 not a big line. I really like the layout here. The outside looks great. The inside looks even better .I got the two meat plate I had 2 very thin slices of turkey and brisket was the bark of the fat no meat. The potato salad was OK and the macaroni cheese was OK also. I tried their barbecue sauce was not a fan. I seen people getting barbecue sandwiches and it looked very delicious. I will try that next time.

The food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and offered good suggestions. Xavier was knowledgeable about BBQ-- and passionate about his food offerings. Delicious brisket and chocolate cake too!John

My daughter wanted to have dinner here since it's directly across from the hotel where she was staying. When you walk in there's a counter to the immediate left that we assumed was a host stand. Directly across on the right is a bar. Fortunately the bartender greeted us right away seeing that we were waiting for someone to come seat us. He asked if it was our first time in. We told him yes and he pointed to the menu written on the wall. You go inside a door to a cafeteria line set up and place your order. We both ordered burnt ends. My daughter had mac and cheese for her side. I was pretty excited to see Brussels sprouts on the menu so I ordered those. The burnt ends were chunkier than I'm accustomed to and I prefer grilled Brussels sprouts to the way they're prepared here. I would definitely try a different meat and sides next time. They smartly and conveniently have the to go boxes in both sizes near the drink station.

Burnt ends were not impressive but pork & brisket were good! Very light business on a Sunday but nice ambiance - side dishes also quite tasty with nice portion size

Ambiance was the best thing about this place and it was cool. But the food was some of the worst bbq I've had in a while. Ordered a 3 meat plate that consisted of moist brisket, jalapeño and cheese sausage and ribs. Brisket was moist but had no flavor and very little color past the bark. Ribs were super tough and again no rub or not much of one at least. Ribs also did not have much meat on the bone so kind of felt cheated there. Sausage was ok, a little above average and the best thing on my plate. Beans were ok, having carrots in them was hard to get past but tasted fine. Mac and cheese was really good. All in all I won't be back. Lunch was $42 with tip and a drink for the 3 meat plate and none of it would I order again. I love bbq, it's my favorite food so it hurts me to leave this kind of review for a bbq joint.

Wonderful service!! Great brisket. The bark was perfect. We will be back!The entire staff was so friendly and helpful with finding a safe option for my not so easy food allergy.

My fries came out completely wrong, which i made clear when i ordered them what i wanted, I just wanted queso and jalapeños, and it came with everything on them. I told the cashier, and her response was, " they already made them." I ordered a hamburger to go, I was handed a vibrating device that never vibrated. After 20 min, I asked about my hamburger, and it was just sitting on their counter. Horrible customer service and no managers around to talk to.
