First time and it was a great experience from the service to the exceptional food. Santiago our server was very attentive and gave great advice on what to order. This will be our go to for the new year.

I'm not sure where the reviews are coming from. The salsa was like water and had a funny taste. The tamales had chicken in them that could not be chewed. Would not recommend

Stopped into Lalo's for dinner tonight with a party of 8 and we're greeted with smiling faces and they quickly put together a table of 8 for us. They served us quickly with chips and salsa (which even my picky 7 yo enjoyed) and we ordered queso. The salsa appears to be homemade and the queso was great as well. Entree's: I had the Enchiladas Mexicanas which is 2 cheese enchiladas covered by ribeye steak. It was so good and the tamatillo sauce that covered my enchiladas was on point. My wife had the regular chicken fajitas. She gave them a 4/5. My brother and sister in law split the cilantro queso chicken fajitas and we're really impressed. They do have a kids menu for anyone that has kiddos. Ambience was nice. Traditional Mexican music playing, full bar and one big dining room.

I was in the area for an appointment and my hubby found this spot for us to grab lunch. The interior was open and had a modern vibe. We visited on a Monday around 1:30 PM and the place was empty. Note: it was a holiday so that could have accounted for the emptiness. We were seated immediately and our server was friendly. We were served complimentary chips and salsa and we really enjoyed the salsa. It had the right amount of kick. One thing I love about Tex-Mex is how quickly the food comes out and this was the case here. I ordered chicken enchiladas and it came with rice and refried beans. My hubby ordered the carne asada with charro beans. I liked my food however the cheese over my enchiladas was overkill. Next time I'd omit that but the chicken within the enchilada was seasoned well. My hubby devoured his food and didn't have anything negative to say. We ordered sopapillas for dessert and I didn't get a pic because we quickly demolished them. Lol. They were served piping hot with honey. Yum.Overall we enjoyed our meal and the experience. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely go back.

This place has been in my list to try for a while, I've heard good things. On the positive side, the black bean, corn and tomato quesadillas were really good and the twister margarita was fresh tasting and delicious. We had nice service, but maybe a bit of a language barrier when came to questions about whether or not there were happy hour specials. My only true complaint was that they were out of chips and salsa... ouch. I will give this place another try.

Met a friend here on a weekday for lunch. The clean dining area is one large room with plenty of tables and a full bar along one wall. The complimentary chips arrived warm. They were not too busy so our food came out quickly.

I was hoping to enjoy this establishment because the food looked amazing. I walked in, and I was greeted by the bartender sat me at a booth near the windows. He asked me what I'd like to drink, and I asked him what sweeteners they had for tea and his response was, "forgive me. I do not know it is my first day here.". And then I asked him to bring me the sweetener so I can see. Little did I know that would be ignoring my request and went to serve two women who walked in with drinks, chips, and salsa. I waited a total of 12 minutes before a waiter finally came and he asked what I would like to drink.Obviously, there is no communication here and they hire individuals who have no customer service. I admit I am far less attractive than two women. The food may look good, but I'll never know because I'll never return. It is overpriced and if the service is like this, it's not worth the price they request.NEXT....

Short Weekend trip to Dallas/Plano left us a little hungry after exploring and shopping! Stumbled on this place and legit only went off Google and Yelp reviews because I'm a stickler for "vibes" and pictures! The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas I've ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friend's birthday so I "snuck away to the restroom" and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

Went Saturday night and had the worst dinner experience iv had in a long time! Took 15 minutes to get drinks and they didn't come out right. Took an additional 10 minutes for my husband to get his drink. We didn't get chips and salsa for 45 minutes and neither was made in house! The food came out bland and lacking a lot! My husband is allergic to onions so his food wasn't even edible. The owner was called over and instead of taking criticism and making right of the situation, he wanted to argue and tell us we were wrong. He didn't take off anything on our bill including the fajitas with a mound of onions which my husband again couldn't eat because he's allergic. My husbands not one to walk a tab but I wish he would have on this scenario! Over $100 for horrible service, subpar and inedible food, and nothing fresh in house made!

Waited to be seated, waited to place our order, waited to get our dinner ... only for them to be out of refried beans at 7pm on a Saturday night! While waiting for our food another table got up, paid their tab, and walked out without eating. They were not happy with their wait or quality of their food. We didn't heed their warning and decided to try them out. Our food came in waves - first the fajita meat, then 5 minutes later the cheese/pico/guac, then another 5 minutes for the tortillas to wrap it all together. Once we actually got served the food was ok - but just ok: definitely not worth the wait or price! We really wanted to like this place but we won't be back.
