This is superb Italian food, ambience, and service. It's the absolute perfect preshow meal, as it's directly across from the winspear opera house. They are very good about keeping you on time for your show. There were no reservations available for the time we wanted but still were able to get a table. (However, I don't recommend this, we probably just got very lucky because the restaurant was pretty full.) This is on par with what you would find at a high end Italian restaurant in NYC and the prices are very reasonable. The homemade pasta is extraordinary. The portions are just the right size. The complimentary bread is not very good, but it's free. Super crusty and tasteless. The 3 ricotta blends are pretty good, but I would not fill up on this, there's much better things on the menu. The fried zucchini is excellent, very crispy. The lamb raviolis were so good I would get them again next time. My friend's ragu was very good but I preferred my ravioli. The bread pudding for dessert is a must get, and the old fashioned was probably the best I've had (loved that giant ice cube). The service here is unrivaled, and our waiter Adriano made the experience unforgettable. This is a must visit.

My husband and I came here tonight to celebrate our 30th anniversary and let me tell you, this place didn't disappoint. We left our car with the valet instead of trying to find a place to park for only $10. It was worth it to not have to search for a spot on the street or a parking garage. We were greeted by the lovely host who was able to seat us 15 minutes before our actual reservation time. We were seated in one of the back booths that had an excellent view of the kitchen and the live entertainment. Our server was Himel and he was so professional. He arrived soon after we were seated and immediately brought us our waters and took our drink orders. I ordered the Giuletta martini and my husband had a Guinness Stout. The martini arrived very cold, just like I like it. It was surprisingly strong, but very delicious. We were given complementary bread that came with 3 different types of whipped butter, all were very tasty. After we finished our bread they were kind enough to bring us some more. The bread was nice and warm and went well with the different butters. We first ordered the Polpette Della Nonna (wagyu meatballs) that came with marinara with a basil oil. They were very tender and had a great flavor. For our main meal I ordered the Pollo Toscano and my husband had the Spaghetti Alessandra. Both dishes we delicious and very filling. Our waiter Himel made sure to come by our table often to check and see how everything tasted and to see how we were doing. We also were visited by the restaurant manager who came by to chat with us for a bit and to see how everything was going. Everyone from the front of the house to our waiter, to the busser and the manager gave us impeccable service. Since we were there to celebrate our anniversary, they gave us a card wishing us a Happy Anniversary and gave us a complimentary dessert as well. While dining we also had the pleasure of listening to WT Greer who had such an amazing voice. I really can't say enough about our dining experience. 10/10

Chef boyardee - sappinted For the price you pay for small portions you'd think the food would be out of this world! I went for date night and had the wagyu bolognese and my date had the agnolotti pizzicati. I'm sure someone somewhere put thought into these dishes but you could have served me jarred bertoli with boxed pasta and i wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The interior was fine - nothing spectacular. There were 2 things that were not a disappointment, the service was spectacular and the free bread and 3 different types of butter were fantastic! I can't complain too much because I did pick the restaurant, choose my meal and didn't speak up when the waitress asked about the quality of my food. Unfortunately I was not impressed but maybe you'll have a different experience.

Love the atmosphere! Went here for Valentine's Day and got the valentines special. I'm not sure what it exactly was but it was the best dish I've ever had in my life wow. It was made with wine and it was some sort of rice dish? I'm not sure. Best $55 spent ever.

La Stella Cucina Verace in downtown Dallas is a must-visit for anyone seeking an upscale Italian dining experience. The modern and glamorous atmosphere instantly transports you to a chic, urban setting perfect for a night out. The dining experience begins with their Polpette Della Nonna, an appetizer of perfectly tender wagyu meatballs bathed in a rich San Marzano marinara sauce, full of authentic flavor. For the main course, the Rigatoni Calabresi stands out with its spicy, sun-dried tomato ricotta sauce, offering the perfect balance of heat and creamy goodness. The Spaghetti Allessandra is another showstopper, with shrimp tossed in a vibrant, spicy vodka sauce that's both bold and comforting.La Stella's extensive and innovative cocktail and spirits list adds a fun twist to the dining experience, with creative drinks that perfectly complement the rich flavors of the food. The service is attentive, and the added convenience of valet parking makes the night even more seamless. Be sure to make a reservation--this spot is in high demand, and for good reason!

The food was pretty solid but nothing incredible. The PB and J (prusciutto, burrata, and fig jam) was definitely the best thing we got. I got the osso bucco and my girlfriend got the lobster ravioli. Both were pretty good but nothing to write home about, I would say they probably aren't worth the high price. The cocktails are all pretty expensive at 22 bucks a piece and the cheapest GLASS of wine was 20 dollars, and all the food was pretty expensive as well. So overall everything was good but it's a lot to pay for just good. The restaurant is pretty nice inside and all the servers and hosts were very good, attentive, and friendly. So they nailed that part.

Went on NYE and had a great time. We had to wait a bit for our table, as the party seated before us was taking their time to leave, but the host offered us complimentary Prosecco to sip while we waited. The staff at our table were also friendly and helpful. While a tad overpriced (downtown pricing), the food and drinks were all very good. A good spot for a special occasion.

Walked in to a small crowded vestibule. Hostesses, two of them, were assisting one person in front of us. One host took the guest to her table and we asked about bar seating. We were told by second hostess that they took reservations at the bar and she would assist us with availability in one moment. A reservation came in and another couple who said they did not have reservations-the couple with no reservations squeezed past us to wait inside where there was more room. They asked the first hostess if they could sit at the bar and she took them in and sat them. When we informed her we were here before them, both hostesses just shrugged and told us they could sit us outside. Need to learn how to keep track of guests and communicate.

We tried La Stella for the first time as a family on Dec 24, 5:45pm. The service, atmosphere and food did not disappoint! What an amazing night for showing love to my family. The complimentary lemoncello was excellent- I especially enjoyed the Osso Buco. This restaurant is a bit pricey but if you want to impress your family or a date this is the one!We also benefited from live piano and vocals from WT Griffith.
