La Hacienda Ranch

We stopped in at La Hacienda Ranch for the first time and had a truly great Tex-Mex experience. The atmosphere has warmth in abundance in addition to being universally inviting, thus presenting a definitive ranch-style vibe, which creates a feeling of home for each individual.We shared beef fajitas which have the nice charred flavor you want in tender and well-seasoned meat. The dish included freshly made tortillas, and the flavorful sides delightfully improved it. It's great that they give you 6 tortillas the first time even if you only ordered the fajita for 1. It was a perfect size for sharingAs an appetizer, we started with the Texas Torpedoes; it was a good mix of crispy, cheesy, as well as spicy. The jalapeños had a good kick. They were stuffed just right and weren't too much.We drank a single Fire & Ice Margarita, a genuinely fun and flavorful cocktail. The drink, which had the perfect sweetness and a tequila punch, served on-the-rocks style in a special way.Service was attentive, and our food was served in a timely manner.

If you love screaming children and dining surrounded by people you'd see in line at the DMV then this is the place to go!The Host/Hostess stand is oblivious. You have to be very assertive to get an acceptable table. The server Zoe was terrific. She really was good energy. We were so deep into misery by the time we encountered Zoe that she couldn't turn it around. When this place opened it was more aspirational. The chips and salsa are still good. But if you're angry by the time you're seated and the place is a mess it's hard to enjoy much. Plus the marg in a 10oz glass is $20. Yikes.

I really like the ambiance of the place, and they've done a great job with decor. It's cool they used a couple of old guns as the doorhandles for the front doors and then they have a big sitting area with large leather couches.The staff were super helpful and kept the drinks filled and checked in occasionally, and how good the food was. The food itself didn't really strike me as amazing, honestly just average for a good Mexican restaurant, thus the four star rating.I am from out of town, here, visiting one of my kids, so I don't know if I'll make it back anytime soon, but it was pretty good

While this place is a little pricey, my goodness the food and drinks are amazing!!! The "Mariano" margarita is probably my favorite at any restaurant! Soooo yummy!!! It includes fresh squeezed lime and a 2.5 oz pour of top shelf tequila. I love the hand cut sun-shaped lime they use to garnish, too!Chips and salsa are served promptly upon arrival and the service is very good! We sat once at a table and once at the bar; both times solid. We had the beef fajitas for two and everything was amazing!!! The steak was tender, everything super fresh and tasty. One of my favorite things were the corn tortillas!!! Omgoodness they were AMAZING!!! And they're made in house just like the chips. So good!Two things I didn't love... the table was rather sticky. The tables were cleaned so I'm not sure if it's because they were older or what... I used my linen napkin as a placemat to solve that sticky feeling. I also felt like the chairs were quite shallow. I could not sit back all the way and felt like I was slipping forward. Neither of these things had an impact on the food or service, just things I don't like. It was very dark inside which I don't mind but big shocker to my eyes upon entering and exiting that took time to adjust to.They have a filet and Mariano special that I'll be back to try as well as an apple pie dessert that looks insane!!! The apple pie is supposed to be really good and is half off on Sundays but we didn't have an room left either time to even get to the dessert course... next time!!!5/5! A must try!

My first visit here since Mariano purchased and started operating. I'd visited literally decades ago, when it sat in a field on a country road,by itself! Wow,how things change. The food wasn't memorable back then so,I haven't returned until now.I first ate at Mariano's original restaurant on Greenville Ave in Dallas Texas. That was before he invented the frozen margarita. Him and his family have done a great job of maintaining and expanding his operation over the years while maintaining quality This particular place designed to look like a mountain lodge,serves hundreds of diners .Pretty amazing they can sling that much Tex Mex every dayOur dinner was excellent and I'd say representative of traditional Tex Mex served ( and craved) in this part of Texas.Just be aware,if you go at prime dinner hour or lunch on weekends,you'll wait. I'd advise visiting around those hours so as to not wait. Otherwise,get some fantastic food and drink...Go!

While in Texas you have to eat Tex mex! This was place everything we wanted in Tex mex and more! It has the neatest ambience and the food and the service were excellent! We weakly enjoyed this place! It is pricey and a flavored margarita is $15, but we found everything to be worth the price! The Trevino and the Texas surf & turf were excellent t! Our server was great! As soon as our glasses were empty she was there with a refill! We really loved our Dallas Tex Mex experience here!

I am a regular here and I promise I've been there 100+ times over the years. Favorite Neighborhood place to go. Recently there appears to be some management or policy changes. I've got Guacamole to go almost once every couple of months and have always been given the chips and a small salsa with it. Today I picked up 1 1/2 Quarts of Guacamole which was $35 + tip of $5 for $40!For just Guacamole. The bartender said you don't get chips or salsa with a side, you must order an appetizer or entree. Since when?? I said $35 for Guacamole and you can't throw in a small bag of chips?I was also standing in the To Go side of the bar and it literally took him 10 minutes to come over to help me after looking at me 3 times. Food there is phenomenal, but it is also one of the most expensive Mexican places in town and poorest customer service.

Best Tex-Mex and margaritas! La Hacienda at Preston has been out goto for date night for years. The food, drinks, and staff are amazing. Rufio is the best bartender in Dallas, IMHO.We recently had a reserved room to celebrate our daughter's graduation. It was a large party of 25 and the room and service were outstanding. Rafael and Maria made sure everyone felt welcome and received top notch service. To say it was a rousing success would be an understatement. This is the place to be if you want a great food and great service - whether it's for 2 or 25.

We hosted a birthday dinner for my Father-in-law's 80th birthday Saturday night. I called a couple of weeks ahead and reserved the table for 20. They had our table set up in the back of one of the dining rooms, which was perfect. Our server was Saba, and we were thrilled with her service. All orders came out correctly, even with substitutions or changes. She was prompt, kept our drinks refilled, brought to go containers quickly, and even helped with extra plates and forks and a knife for us to serve dessert that we brought in with us. She had a lighter handy for the candle lighting. There were no mistakes on the bill. I'm so glad Saba was assigned to our party. If you are needing to host a larger party with great food and drinks, you will not be disappointed with La Hacienda Ranch in N Dallas! I had called other restaurants that refused to accommodate our large party on a weekend night. La Hacienda did, and we were beyond pleased with how the dinner went. Thank you!

Used to love this place, until last Friday! We ordered fajitas for 2, and basically got one chicken breast and five pieces of beef fajita. 5 whole tortillas worth of meat for 52 dollars. We used to take food home when ordering 52 dollars of food from here. Very disappointing.......
