We went for lunch buffet on a wednesday afternoon. There were barely 2-3 tables occupied after we went. For 14.99 weekday buffet, they have very limited options. Baby Corn Manchuria was cold and nasty tasted like it was from freezer and thawed before added to buffet.( First red flag)Chicken appetizers were cold too, this should have been big red flag. Mutton curry was salty and naan's were not even in buffet by 12pm( buffet starts at 11)Rest of the food was meh!Ignoring red flags resulting in kuchipudi(south indian dance) and I am constantly visiting london to relieve. So take my warning and stay away!

The restaurant itself is located right off the LBJ freeway, so there's very little chance of missing it or any extensive search. There's ample parking around the restaurants.I went in for the lunch buffet towards the closing stages of service (lunch service ends 2.30PM). The food was still fresh and hot, and I didn't feel like I was getting the scraps (they kept the food coming onto the buffet line). Service was great, water delivered as soon as you are seated and plates are quickly whisked away once you're done). It's not the largest spread, but for the price of ~ $14 I'd say there's a decent number of choices. The restaurant itself is South Indian, but they do serve traditional North Indian common favorites like tandoori chicken, paneer butter masala, naan, butter chicken and biryani. If you're vegan, you definitely have plenty of options in the spread that I got to sample that included idlis served with different varieties of chutneys, a vegetarian biryani offering, lemon rice, bondas (fried fritters), fried potatoes, pooris and a very nice daal (lentil stew) to pair excellently with the steamed rice. But do make sure you inquire on the ingredients in the some of the curries, as they might use dairy products to get a more creamy texture. The chicken biryani was a let down because while the rice itself was very flavorful, the meat was dry and felt like it had been cooked a while ago.I really liked the desserts - the mango kulfi, was mango flavored ice cream and had raisins in it which imparted texture. The coconut flavored laddus were good. As is with many Indian desserts may be considered as bordering on being cloyingly sweet, but it was really addictive. The meal ended with a cup of chai which can be poured as you like from a flask and comes with a cup of sugar on the side. Overall a very satisfactory meal.

While the weekday lunch thali is definitely worth trying, service can be a hit or miss. The lunch thali is offered only on weekdays. I think you can order other dishes as well for lunch, but both the times we were there we were given only the thali menu. The veg thali($10.99) comes with plain white rice(lots and lots of it), Puris(deep fried bread), many sides(most of them South Indian) and sweets. Everything except for the sweets are refillable. Both the times, the thali tasted good. The sweets could have been better. Service though was inconsistent. Our first visit went well but the second time around we were seated at a table in a corner and service became non-existent. We actually had to leave our table not once but thrice to get their attention. One of the main reasons for ordering a thali is to receive quick service as most of the dishes on a thali are usually prepared and kept ready to serve. Well, lesson learnt! If I do happen to find myself here again, I would ask for a table somewhere in the center.

I only like their pulao (shrimp and chicken). These are tasty and spicy! Skip the biryanis because they are full of spice. To go order is faster than waiting for service.

Both their website and Google show this place to be open on Monday. Nope. Closed. Waste of time and gasoline.
