Ken and his team were amazing to work with. The process was simple; we shared an inspiration picture and he brought it to life! Seeing the table in person was much better than I could have ever imagined. Looking forward to having the KS WoodCraft team build additional pieces for our home. We had a poor experience with KS Woodcraft. We're interior designers in Chicago and we ordered a custom table from them for one of our clients. The table had a leg welding at an angle and damage to the top. We have access to a wood shop and KS paid for the refinishing of the top but they would not take responsibility for the angled leg which the client would not accept. Repairing the leg which required disassembling the table, transporting it to a metal shop, having it worked on, getting client approval, then having it shipped back and reassembled cost us about $650. In our work, it's impossible for us to leave a client hanging but KS left us hanging.

Ken was so amazing to work with, the pictures I posted are just a few of the many items he custom made in our house, my husband who is extremely particular was also beyond pleased with the process and how amazingly made all of our furniture is, I would recommend Ken to everyone and know he wouldn't let anyone down, so glad I found him in Yelp, thanks guys!!!

All I can say is WOW! My husband and I were looking for a unique, high quality table. We worked with Ken and Rachelle and ordered a box car wood table (wood from retired railway boxcars) with a metal base. The table arrived yesterday and we were completely blown away. It exceeded our expectations. It is so unique and has so much character! Exactly what we were looking for in our home. KS Woodcraft makes quality furniture that will last for years and years. It was a pleasure to work with them! Highly recommended!

I am happy to update my review. Ken took care of the issue I had with the finish, including researching what could have caused the issues with the finish. It seemed to be a combination of a bad batch of lacquer and the extreme temperatures in Texas at the time. In any event, he took care of the problem and I am very happy with the final product. Our table is absolutely beautfiul!

KS Woodcraft is the most highly skilled and professional team of people you will ever meet. The quality of their furniture is exceptional and is second to none. The owner, Ken, is an experienced artisan as well as a perfectionist who carefully listened to my design ideas and created the most beautiful tables I have ever seen. I chose reclaimed French White Oak, but Ken offers any kind of wood you could ever imagine -- exotic woods, natural edge slabs, etc. (Check out the photos on his website.) Everything they make is handcrafted and custom made. This is the nicest team of people you will ever meet and they all share the same values of producing superior quality custom tables.

We bought an expandable walnut trestle table from Ken. I looked for a dining table at Restoration Hardware, Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn and many other furniture stores. I thought the tables they offered were of inferior wood and quality for high prices. Guess they have to pay for those showrooms somehow.Ken has a genuine passion for wood and furniture making. We also found him to be very honest and responsive. All of these traits were very important as we live hundreds of miles from Ken and we did not see his work first hand until our table arrived at our home. We ordered a solid walnut trestle table. Ken chose gorgeous pieces of wood and then tied them together in a way that balances out color variations and showcases the wood's inherent beauty. True artistry. There are pictures of our table on his website but they do not accurately capture the table's true beauty.Finally, the table is heavy - a quality piece that we will hand down to our kids. Best of all, it was reasonably priced.We are very happy with our purchase and I would definitely recommend talking to Ken about your wood furniture needs.
