Koryo Kalbi Korean BBQ

This is by far one of the best BBQ places in DFW. They cook everything with white charcoal.I haven't been here since before the pandemic, but man. The quality here blows my mind and I'm mad I've been going to mid places in Carrollton instead of here.They have the best banchans and meat selections!! Seriously!! MAD BUSSIN don't go anywhere else! Them potatoes HIT I got some bad photos but that's because my mouth was watering and I couldn't wait to eat. That's how good it was. Even the salad was so good. I felt so healthy chowing down dat bussin lettuce. Oh and don't get the white rice cause the purple rice is where it's at.On top of the food quality, our waiter, Joel, was super attentive and friendly. He cooked the meat for us and would make sure we are doing ok. Let me speak to the manager cause GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE RN!!!!! Overall, our experience here was great.Anyways. I posted this place on my IG last night and everyone swiped up asking where this place at. I hope the business here flourishes, we will be back! (And I hope yall will still have the potatoes) EDIT: I also had to mention that I didn't leave smelling too much like the grill. How yall do that? Thank you Koryo!

I had a Korean beef tartare(육회) and a Chosun BBQ combo, which is a charcoal Korean bbq with three different types of beef.Both dishes were very authentic, especially the beef tartare with lots of sliced asian pear was sooooo fresh and juicy! ‍Your server grills the bbq for you which is a big plus for me, but the beef was a bit chewy for my liking.The bbq combo comes with a lot of side dishes and they were all very good as well.

We love this place! Highly recommend! Their meats are premium and having it cooked on a charcoal grill makes a difference. I personally love their jap chae - definitely a fav of mine!

I had come here with my sister when visiting Texas before 2022, but it had closed down not sure why I guess it changed owners and was remodeling. I'm glad we chanced it and drove by to see if it was reopened or not. We always order the Kelby or Bogo. This time we ordered the Kelby luncheon special. Which was more than enough to fill us up! They serve the dessert with a sweetened ginger tea that was delicious! The Bonchon or the appetizers beforehand were also very tasty and creative! Will definitely return again and again when I visit Dallas! It's my sisters and my favorite place!Only drawback is that We had to wait even though there seemed to have tables this might have been because they didn't have enough servers? Will definitely return again even if we had to wait it was definitely worth it!

The absolute best marinated short ribs. The service is always great. I highly recommend this place. The ginger tea and also the sides are amazing. I like the salad and kimchi. I can't wait to come back here and enjoy it again.

Came back. Still great. Always bring new friends to introduce legit KBBQ to. Can't beat the charcoal and marinated kalbi combo here. And that fresh oyster kimchi. Ugh, now I want to go back again.

So so good! I took my brother and sister here for their birthdays and it was such a fun dining experience. Everyone was super nice and they offer a ton of different options on the menu. They cook the meat for you, which wasn't was I expected, however I'm glad they did!

For the price everything is good. I've been twice so far and have yet to have a bad experience. The service is amazing and the workers/servers are friendly and attentive. This place cooks the food for you but if you want to cook your own food just let your server know beforehand. The atmosphere is always pleasant, no one talking too loudly, and it's always clean. They do reservations for any size party but tables in the back are reserved for parties 6+.

The reason why I gave 3 stars , coz I didn't like the service we received this time , we have been to this place before , the service was amazing, this time we didnt have a very good experience :I found hair in my Amy soup and I showed to the server , and she tried to play it off said " it was not mine ..." later, when we got the bill, they added a 20% of tip on top of our bill( we got 2 adults 2 children - under 12 and a baby...) I told them they shouldn't do that and the server was obviously upset when I pointed that out , I don't think we want to come back again after that

Solid Korean food and great service. Always a good time! They serve live eel, which I've never seen anywhere else in Dallas.
