Great little gallery in Deep Ellum. Off of commerce st. This is the 3 time I have visited this gallery. They always have a great selection of artist to show and the space is large. There is also a large patio area to show off sculptures. We came to check out Carols Don Juan solo show it was amazing great artist. Glad to see local gallery using local artists.

Fine Art on a Friday? I'm in! Mom and I had just grabbed a late brunch at All Good Cafe and were roaming the streets -to walk it all off. The curator greeted us at the door immediately- entailing the latest exhibitions. It's uncertain how often the gallery changes its exhibits. I would recommend visiting their home page for more info: kirkhopperfineart.com. We were able to catch artists Matthew Bourbon (acrylic on canvas) and Ashley Whitt (ink prints). I was mostly moved by Bourbon's piece - "Say It Like You Mean It" as the acrylic painting used patchwork to take on the form of person illustrated with what appears to be shoulders held up with confidence and nervous hands. It was admirable to see how much vulnerability the subjects in paintings could represent- despite their being lack of facial expression/and mixed style. A perfect spot to hit up along your trails- to tuck away for a glimpse on the hima Street metered parking and parking lots surround the area.
