The authentic dim sum experience in Dallas, comparable to Fung's Kitchen in Houston. Things you can expect: great quality dim sum, rolling carts carrying variety of freshly made dim sum dishes, and...long lines. My friend and I waited around one hour for a table for two, but the food serves quickly, so you can still be in and out in no time after being seated. This is the place to be if you're craving dim sum while in Dallas. PS. The staff here are not welcoming of pictures or videos, so try to respect their privacy and exclude people from your captures.

Pretty disappointed - food is genuinely mediocre at best and service is just fine. I don't recommend the following: soup dumplings (they had 0 soup), flat noodles (they had 0 flavor). Shrimp dumplings, shrimp & pork dumplings, and shrimp fun rolls were more worth it, but nothing special.

I can't believe I've never written a review for this place when I've been coming here for 10+ years with my family, even before it became Kirin Court! I've tried multiple other dim sum places but Kirin Court has always been the best in terms of taste. If you are planning to come on a weekend, plan to come either super early or super late. They open at 10am and there's usually already a wait for a table for 4 by 10:30. I came with my parents and husband last weekend at 10:30 and was told we would need to wait about 20 minutes, but they had us seated in about 5. Also, if you have a large party (I think 8+) you can call ahead to make reservations. They offer the authentic dim sum experience with lots of little carts circulating around. There are a few items at the front of the restaurant that you have to go up to order. My favorite items are: the steamed pork ribs, radish cake, fried shrimp balls, shrimp har gao, shrimp rice noodle roll, chinese donut rice noodle roll (needs to be specially ordered from the kitchen), egg tarts, and tofu dessert. Kirin court will always be one of thoseplaces that my family keeps going back to for dim sum, especially if we have visitors during the holidays!

Went on a Sunday morning and waited less than 20 minutes, which from other reviews seems to be on the shorter end. On the inside, there were lots of tables and it was pretty packed. I thought the food was average, nothing to write home about, but I think it definitely satisfies a dim sum craving. The servers seemed to be mostly high school students, and I like that the Resturant supports the local community. However, when they roll the carts over, they go by so fast without showing us the food or making eye contact with our table. For my family and I, dim sum is one of our favorite breakfasts to get together, but it was really quite difficult to get a dish.

Kirin Court is well known for their dimsum, or Chinese tapas typically eaten for brunch! Highly recommend to bring a big group here so that you get to try more items. If you go during their brunch hours, the staff is pushing around a cart with selections of pre-made dimsum items. You just point at what you want and they will put it on your table. Now they have definitely lost their quality over the years and the food is not served as hot. Couple of our items we ordered were actually cold. There are better options for dimsum in DFW now but I think it's still worth trying. (4/5) Steamed Chicken FeetChewy and gelatinous chicken feet is marinated in flavorful sauce. I really enjoyed it!(3/5) Steamed Pork RollsThe smell was overpowering at first but I was pleasantly surprised once I tried it.(5/5) Shrimp WontonsOne of my favorite items. The wonton is crispy, the shrimp filling is tasty with sweetness from shrimp , and the dipping sauce pairs nicely. (4/5) Chinese Broccoli with Oyster SauceIt was cooked perfectly with the right amount of chew. The oyster sauce gives it a nice savory taste. (3.5/5) Baked BBQ Pork BunsThe bun was pillowy and fluffy, and the bbq pork had nice flavor. Wish there were more filling in the bun.(3/5) Roasted DuckIt's nicely chopped for your convenience. I wish it was served more warm.(3.5/5) Shrimp Fun RollsFun rolls are always crowd favorites. Soft and slick with shrimp pieces inside. Wish it had more flavor!(5/5) Beef Fun RollsAlso one of my favorite items! The beef filling is savory and has a lot of flavor. Could have eaten an entire plate by myself! (4/5) Char SiuThey are generous with the portions! The pork was tender and not overcooked.(3/5) Soup DumplingsIt is filled with hot broth that bursts inside your mouth when you chew, so be careful. I thought the dumpling skin could be more tender.(3.5/5) Shrimp and Pork DumplingsAlso called Shu Mai, it was super meaty with a nice chew.(3.5/5) Shrimp DumplingsAlso a typical crowd favorite! Also called Har Gow, it has minced shrimp inside translucent dumpling. It has good bouncy texture. (4/5) Fried Sesame BallsA nice sweet way to end your dim sum feast! A chewy and mochi like dough filled with sweet red bean paste and covered with sesame. A nice balance of sweet and savory.

Kirin Court has been my family's staple dim sum restaurant for over a decade. It's very traditional and always busy during the weekends when we go. If you dont arrive right when it opens, it's likely that you'd have to wait in the lobby for a seat, and we've waited up to 30 minutes before. The flavors of the dishes tend to be inconsistent every time we come here, but are still enjoyable. There's nothing that makes them stand out, but we enjoy the experience of the carts coming around and choosing off of those. The soup dumplings didn't have any soup in them, but the fillings of all the dumplings in general were flavorful. Again, although they were flavorful, nothing made them stand out.Workers aren't always the friendliest. This time, when I walked up to pay, the guy said "well you know you could've just paid at your seat." but in the past, we could walk up to pay without a problem. Overall, if I had to choose any dim sum place to go to in my area, it would be here. It's not super modernized and none of its traditional food makes it distinct or special, but it's a roomy restaurant that's family friendly.

One of the few dim sum places left in Texas that have use the traditional carts system. Very spacious inside, great for those large wedding banquets, if your parents are Asian, they'd be proud.Prices are decent, and there are plenty of food options to choose from. Har gow, rice noodles, and pork spare ribs were great. The carts move around quite often so you won't go hungry. It's definitely popular enough that there could be a wait on the weekend. If I had something to nitpick, it'd be the restrooms, the hallway to it and the restroom itself is a bit grungy. If you haven't had the full dim sum experience, Kirin Court is a good contender.

Dim sum is such a nostalgic dish for me that I have high expectations. Kirin Court hits that nostalgia factor well. They have the traditional carts that go around and if the carts don't have what you want, you can go to the front or order from the kitchen.Overall, the dim sum was good. Nothing spectacular but truly just good dim sum. The har gow and human were tasty, the taro shrimp balls were yummy, and the desserts, although they mostly ran out by the end of the afternoon, were classic treats too. The mango pudding, which was the only thing that lasted long enough to take a picture before our hungry mouths demolished it was not too sweet and had little sago pearls that really rounded it out. Maybe it's more of the nostalgia, but overall, this is a pretty solid option for traditional dim sum.

Kirin court is a big restaurant on the second floor, and gets extremely packed on the weekends with long wait times. The dim sum experience here feels authentic, as there are people pushing food carts around and using papers/stamps for ordering. My favorite things to get here are the pork & century egg congee, pan fried radish cakes, and fried glutinous rice dumplings. Those are all pretty good, although the radish cakes are a little bland compared to what I've had before.Kirin court may be the best dim sum in DFW although it is just okay to me. My taste buds have been spoiled by growing up in CA.. However, I still do like coming here when I have a dim sum craving and will be back when the next craving comes!
