Went to lunch with a friend and I have passed by her a hundred times and never stopped so decided today is the day. When we walked in, there was 4 patrons in the restaurant. The lady came and greeted us, asked if we had been there before and when we said no, she started making recommendations. I asked if we could be seated and look at the menu. I asked if they have lunch specials, to which she said they do, however 2 lunch specials equates to a BBQ experience with extra sides. Asked about drinks and went with a sweet tea & a lemonade - I asked for a water as well however I was informed they only have bottled water and charge for that. When she brought our drinks, we were also informed that there is only one refill. Now, I'm spending almost $100 on lunch and we are being shady with the drinks, but be prepared because the napkins must be in short supply as well as we were given one napkin and when I asked for another we each were borough one more napkin. The lady was extremely friendly, she cooked the food in front of us, suggested how to mix what meats with what sides. I will say this, I've been to numerous other Korean BBQs and I don't think there has even been an issue with asking for more sides as they don't give you that much to begin with. Overall, all the meats were good with the exception of the chicken. I personally couldn't swallow it and ended up spitting it into my napkin. When it came time to take leftovers, the chicken didn't come with us. The ribeye was a little on the fatty side for my liking however the pork belly and the bulgogi were on point. In total $130 spent, it was an experience however I think I'll go to my typical spot that allows me a little more freedom in my choices.

I went with a few friends for lunch, the food was delicious. The service was great, we were checked on often and had a variety of pickled vegetables. The ambiance is nice, I was impressed with the fixtures and door knobs

Walked in. Hour after they opened. No one at the front. No one eating. They have a sign that says they're experiencing an employment shortage. Guess the shortage means there's no one working there. Unfortunate bc we were looking forward to trying this place out.

Probably my worst experience when eating out in Dallas. You walk in and the place already has a sign by the front desk that they're under staffed and asking customers to be patient with them - fine, no problem for me. But then my friend and I were basically forced to pick what we wanted to eat while standing by the door - the hostess/waitress/cook did not even sit us down! Just kept rudely pointing to items at the menu and directing us to the most expensive ones, even though we weren't interested in ordering them. When we thought that things were already bad and full of red flags, we order (after insisting that we needed more time but the lady kept coming back) and when asked for drinks, I tell her that I'd like some water and she tells us that they don't serve tap water, only bottled (so that they could charge us). Like, seriously?! At this point everything feels like they're trying to get rip us off in every way possible. The food arrives and this is not your usual KBBQ. They don't let you serve yourself or touch anything. The server insisted on putting food on my plate even though I said I could do it myself. They grab the food ON your plate, arrange it the way THEY think you should eat it and to make matters worse, she literally tried to spoon-feed me with salad even though I told her multiple times that I do NOT eat salad and wasn't going to eat it. Then after a while, our chicken is ready and I decide to serve myself (since the lady was gone for a while and that's how you're supposed to do when eating KBBQ anyway), which made her pissed. She put the chicken BACK on the grill and yelled that it was still raw (when it was clearly more than cooked already). She leaves for 10-15 seconds, rushes back to our table and then puts the chicken back on our plates... As if in those few seconds the chicken that was supposedly "raw" would've been now cooked. When paying, she said they didn't take my credit card (Amex - first time this happens to me in the US! Another major red flag), so my friend had to use his card and I Zelled him afterwards. The whole situation was so mind-boggling and incredibly rude I couldn't believe my eyes... I seriously thought someone would show up with a hidden camera at any moment and say it was all a prank. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was all real and I'll never go back there. Overpriced, overwhelming and mediocre food.

Excellent service, more than great! We ordered too much food, although it wasn't a problem in the end, ha! The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, so we had a lot of servers around our table, paying attention to anything we needed.

If you're new to Dallas or just searching for an incredible Korean hotpot and BBQ experience, KIMS House Grill and BBQ is a must-visit! The food is absolutely phenomenal, and the service is just as impressive. What truly sets this place apart is the rich, savory flavors and the way the attentive servers help cook your meal right at your table.Whether you're planning a date night, catching up with friends, or simply exploring new dining spots, KIMS House is the place to be. This restaurant has completely won me over, and it's now my go-to spot for hosting out-of-town friends or enjoying a special evening. Don't miss out--this gem is worth every bite!

Too expensive.Food was good and different.... Enjoyed the Sake.Does not have a full bar. Gave us bottled water (that we didn't order) and charged us $4 a bottle.Does not take American Express. (Isn't this The Groves area?)Asked them to charge my Visa card $300 towards the bill and they added 20% to the charge! Tip was already in the bill. They supposedly refunded it... Waiting to check my statement. Then they had a problem about using multiple credit cards for the bill and argued with my friend. Just seemed disorganized, possibly culture/language barriers between both of our parties?
