Good food. Great service. It's actually one of my favorite place to eat. I take my family and friends out here occasionally when we we want some Habesha food. It's very traditional from the food to the coffee ceremony. Take my word and visit you would love it.

I was excited to try a new Ethiopian restaurant as the one we usually go to was closed for some reason. We decided on Kezira Cafe based on the reviews. My friend's parents were from Ethiopia so have ventured to many restaurants. This one is not specifically Ethiopian and they do say East African. So many Ethiopian dishes I am used to were not on the menu. Did good the menu items to see what each was. Of course, I got the vegetarian combo dish (Yetsome Beyeaynetu) and my friend got the Awaze Tibs (spicy sautéed beef). Presentation was excellent and the flavors were good though my friend said the beef was all grizzle (which I said was normal!). The injera was good as well but was on the thicker side. There was enough food to take home and have another meal. There was only one person working taking orders, cooking and serving so it took a little time to enjoy the food but, other than that, it was good. I would give more stars if the service was a bit better because the food was good (except for my friend complaining about the grizzle!---UGH!).

I don't know what it is exactly that my friend gets from here but there's fish, rice, and potato! It's soooo delicious! The people here are so kind and do a wonderful job preparing the food!
