Let me just say wow. This place is very authentic and flavorful. Just came in from a long flight and needed a fulfilling breakfast, so I chose Mexican nearest to my route because morning traffic was still stiff. Don't let the looks of this place fool you, this is what real Mexican dining is all about. Made me feel like I was becoming in Mexico visiting family. We both had huevos ranchero, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the beans were really tasty. To add was freshly made corn tortillas and green salsa, we also added a side plate of chorizo and was surprised again on great taste as well quality. Lastly, I had 2 goat tacos that was so moist and tender. Then the 3rd taco was steak, again so moist and tender. By far the best Mexican breakfast I have had in this area. What a great find!

Food here is so good and I have enjoyed eating here at least 3 times. Me and my lady love their handmade tortillas and menudo. So I was craving them and wanted to call for a pickup. I speak very little Spanish. I called and said "hello how are you do you speak English?" Soon after there was silence and then the phone hung up. Tried calling back and the lady didn't even attempt to understand my broken Spanish... hung up again only saying "no English, no English... no English." I understand a language barrier but this was just rude.

Fresh and Authentic Mexican food- can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Everything is fresh and the tortillas are made by hand- the absolute best. I had 2 sopes (chicken and pastor) and an asada taco for under 10 bucks- def give it a try!

Authentic and excellent Mexican food. Great service too. Everything was fresh. I have been to Avilas a few times when in Dallas, and it was good. I think this is better though. I have read where Avilas salsa is very spicy. The salsa here is also very spicy but so good! I had chicken enchiladas with the green tomatillo sauce. Best I have ever had--including in Mexico.

The establishment was dirty. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked her if we were going to get chips and salsa. My wife ordered flautas and I ordered their pork guiso and it was not good at all. Tortillas although not hand made are not even from a quality factory. Total cost of meal mentioned above was $35. Had several of their patrons blasting their novelas on their phones loud af. Horrible ambience. Save your money and go to Carmen's. Juanitas should be a hard pass for anyone who cares about quality of food and service...

My fajitas were great, my daughters cheese enchiladas on the other hand was nasty af, the service sucked so bad I only left $2 , should be glad she got that, not understaffed at all, I asked for shredded cheese and got some glop on a plate, was already done with my fajitas by the time she decided to bring me my tortillas and glop, the whole time the owner is sitting right there watching all this go down, NEVER AGAIN

One night we decided we needed TexMex and hopped in the car to go to Herrera's. The parking lot was maxed out, the street was parked up, and we could see people waiting outside to be seated, so we drove on by. Not ones to be deterred from TexMex, we just kept driving until we got to Juanita's. We pulled in and went inside. The building is older and not well maintained, but that isn't something I'm bothered by. As we entered, the entire dining room turned to look at us. It was the wait staff and their families eating dinner, which was sweet. They told us to sit anywhere and the server came and took our drink order. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, if the music was a little loud.I ordered cheese enchiladas mexicanas (with red sauce) and my boyfriend got the fried shrimp plate. The chips and salsa were good. Thin and crispy chips and a thin, but spicy salsa. They also brought a bowl of limes. When my food came out, the plate was classic - Cheese enchiladas with red sauce, beans and rice. There was a salad on top of my enchiladas, which drives me up the wall because I cannot stand the texture of wilting lettuce mixed in with my hot food, but I was able to push it to the side and it was a nice addition to the plate. My enchiladas tasted great, but they were stone cold. I mean they felt refrigerated. My beans and rice were a little cold as well. I think my plate finished first and sat while my boyfriend's shrimp plate was still cooking. It was all delicious, though. My boyfriend's plate came with spicy fried shrimp, french fries and a salad. It may have come with beans as well, but I can't remember. I tasted the fries and they were good, though lacking salt. He said the shrimp were fantastic. They still had the shells, so he had a little pile going. Around that time the (I'm guessing) owner or manager showed up. He looked around and gave some instructions to the staff and then turned the music down (thank you, sir!) and had his dinner at the table next to ours. Overall, it was good, the staff was friendly, and the price affordable. The cooks probably need a refresher in timing food so simple plates don't get cold in the winder.

A bit overpriced, it is a small restaurant but it seems to be understaffed. My enchiladas verdes were alright. A little soggy not completely worth the price.
