Fun museum to walk through, I left knowing much more than I had before. The interactive area where you can see where the car was driving on the street below was my favorite part. Entry fee now $25 per person.

I've always wanted to visit the Dallas area to see and learn more about JFK's final days (I've visited his grave in D.C.). If you happen to go to Forth Worth, stop by and see this memorial from the day before his assassination. On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy gave an impromptu speech to thousands of rain-drenched spectators on the front steps of the historic Hotel Texas, now the Hilton Fort Worth, followed by a formal presentation at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce breakfast. The JFK Tribute in Fort Worth's General Worth Square marks the place and occasion of the President's historic visit with a beautiful Lawrence Ludtke bronze statue of President Kennedy set within an elegant plaza. Selected quotes from a number of JFK's historic speeches including the famous quote "There are no faint hearts in Forth Worth."

Remembering when this memorial was built a few years ago, I always make it a point to swing by when in the area. Don't think the memorial is all there is to honoring JFK. Step inside to the second floor of the Hilton for pictures of the historic visit the day before and of his fateful assassination. While you're there, ask Papa Mike, the hotel's conceirge, for suggestions for other historical sites in downtown.

"There are no faint hearts in Fort Worth" John F Kennedy -address to the city of Fort Worth, November 22, 1963. When visiting Fort Worth for a work event, I made sure to make time to visit this memorial and I was not disappointed! This is the historical spot where President John F Kennedy gave his famous parking lot speech to thousands in the early morning rain. The memorial is in general worth square, at the southeast corner of main and 8th. Directly across from the Hilton Hotel (formally Hotel Texas) The memorial is set in a circle, right in the middle is an 8ft tall bronze statue of JFK with a his powerful fist raised in the air. Directly behind the statue is a wall with 3 large photos from JFK's visit and quotes from some of his speeches. Make sure you visit in the night time too, amazing to see everything lit up....definitely breath taking.

A piece of history. This is the location where JFK gave his last public speech prior to getting in the car and heading to Dallas. It's located right across the former Hotel Texas, now a Hilton, where he spent his last night. The memorial is well done with a statue, waterfall and wall are with historic pictures and information tablets. The place is peaceful and somewhat melancholic, which is appropriate for the site.

The final public speech from JFK before his fateful day in Dallas. This simple monument captures the former President's persona in life sized statue along with historical markers and helpful information. It is tucked back in the middle of downtown Fort Worth near the convention center and hotel. It will only take 10-15 min to see and read the inscriptions but it's worth the time.

This beautiful tribute is a nice quick stop. The audio tour takes longer than it takes to walk the entire memorial, but because we were the only ones there, we were able to sit and listen for quite a while.
