Jamaica Mi Hungry

Ordered through DoorDash a little after the doors opened that day and it seemed as though we were served yesterday's leftovers. I'm Haitian and I love authentic Jamaican food and the food was authentic for sure, it just wasn't fresh quality when I received it, and that sorta ruined my first impression. As a former kitchen manager, I'm all for not wasting food, however every customer should be treated like a first time guest in order to retain more patronage.

Every time we visit Dallas we make a point to stop by this restaurant. While ordering is a bit cumbersome (wait times can be a little long for my preference and they don't allow you to call in your order for some reason- it has to be via an online food app) the quality AND quantity of food make up for it. I order the jerk chicken with rice and peas with black eyed peas as a side and it was the BOMB! So so flavorful and they pack a ton of food in there for the medium size. Seriously have enough food for at least two meals which makes it well worth the trip and a good value for the cost.Looking forward to trying more items from their menu next time I make my way to the Dallas area!

Food: 7/10Service: naAmbiance: naOkay hear me out ... it's delish and authentic, but could have more flavor. I've had authentic Jamaican food before and so far the BEST place to go remains Dallas farmers market downtown at the West Indies vendor. This place is a 2nd best though.

The food is BOMB. Like, run it back four days in a row good. At this point, I've had half of the menu and can confirm everything is FIRE. If you have an issue with the customer service, consider whether it's them or if you're just hungry. I had to have the same conversation with myself, so be honest in your assessment. Definitely try the oxtail, jerk chicken, stew chicken, Mac and cheese, beef patty, and oxtail egg roll.

Came here with my coworker for lunch and as I've never had Jamaican food I was excited for this visit. It's a small mom and pop shop and the customer service was decent. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and it comes with two sides (I got yams and okra and tomatoes) and they give you plenty! I can say I was surprised to see the yams and okra and tomatoes as I didn't associate that with Jamaican food. The okra and tomatoes were spiced nicely but a little mushy. The yams were very tardy and highlight of the meal! The jerk chicken had the typical spiced but was a tad bit dry. I was able to taste my coworker's order of plantain and I wasn't that impressed. I'm not sure I'd return to this location but I'll definitely try Jamaican food again!

I'm sorry but I can't get enough of this place! I come here for the oxtail plate with the macaroni and cheese with cabbage and it is ALWAYS ON POINT. I had been looking for authentic Jamaican food and finally found it. The portions are large and the food isn't pricey at all - and I love the mild beef patties! I'm glad I live a little far so I'm not there everyday!

Poor service the food is even worse, I will never eat there again, save your money and go elsewhere

Best jerk chicken in DFW. It's juicy with a nice grilled smoke flavor and not baked. The Mac and cheese is delicious and they sell out all the time. Be patient because it gets busy and it can take 10-20 mins for your order but it's worth it.

Food was really flavorful. Mac and cheese and the oxtails were the stars of the show. Perfection! The jerk chicken was dry and burnt so that was disappointing. I missed the memo that the cabbage was spicy, but it still was good. The black eyed peas were also great. They give a LOT of food, so that's a plus. The building is old and small, only seats 16 people. But the food traveled home well.

The food was very flavorful and still hot when I got to my destination. I kept seeing their sign while driving on 20 so I made time to stop by. I ordered oxtail, Mac and cabbage. The wait time wasn't bad at all. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was my oxtail weren't tender enough. I also didn't love the amount of oxtail I received for 25 dollars. I'll give it another try tbh,
