the Irving Arts Center is more than just an event venue; it's a canvas for creating extraordinary experiences. With its aesthetic charm, adaptable spaces, top-tier service, and technical capabilities, it's the perfect choice for those seeking an exceptional setting for their special occasions. My event at the Irving Arts Center was an absolute success, and I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking to elevate their event to the highest level of elegance and sophistication.https://djtommyscott.com/

A few weeks ago I had my first (arts related) visit to the Irving Arts Center, or at least the performance hall within known as Carpenter Theater. I was there for a spring performance given by the new Irving Philharmonic Orchestra. The facility was nice and spacious enough with ample outdoor parking. The staff on duty was friendly as well as helpful. The Sunday performance was beautiful as well as moving. I've only been an Irving resident for about 2 years, but passed by here several times I'm sure. I did come to vote on the other side of the property in 2020 and remember really nice outdoor mosaic art, murals and some sculptures. I love that they have so much art on display outside as well as inside. This probably won't be my last time coming here, especially now that I'm more familiar. Support the arts! I plan to continue to.

So, even after 30 years, my husband can still surprise me . He said, " I want to go to the arts center". (I did not ask him for id ,but honestly, this is not something he has never said. ) I did not ask why; in less than 5 minutes in this local jewel of a facility, I figured it out. The artist , Garth Williams, named Illustrator of the Century, was the illustrator of one of his favorite books to read to children . The Sailor Dog. Childrens' literature is something I paid a lot of attention to over the years. There are those few magical years when a parent gets to pick the books their child reads; I took full advantage ;) I was stunned that not only did Mr Williams illustrate The Sailor Dog , but so many of our other favorite golden oldies. The Irving Arts Center is a magical place and a local treasure. We were the only people there over lunch hour; not another soul. We enjoyed the space , the exhibit and read aloud excerpts from some of our favorites. Parking is free and close to the entrance. In addition to the gallery area they have theaters, classrooms and a variety of events for the community. Oh , did I mention this great time was totally free! Thank you!(I know many of my friends and followers will not get a chance to see this show in person, so I wanted to post lots of pictures for you all )

I've been to the Irving Arts Center a few times over last 10 year to watch some great Bangla plays. These plays are created by the talented team of Dallas BanglaTheater who have become friends in these past years. So the very first play I saw at the IAC was called "Shasti" (Punishment) by Rabindranath Tagore. I was awestruck by this Bangla play and even since have been more interested in attending these events. It's great that the IAC brings such vast cultures, languages, people to experience their theater. I most recently went there to watch another Bangla play called Projapoti and once again fell in love with live theater. I really appreciate being able to experience these plays and get reconnected with my Bangladeshi roots. I've actually learned some difficult Bangla words through watching them lol. It's always nice to enjoy Art, no matter what culture or language it may be representing and the IAC is the perfect place to do that.

Walking around waiting to be let into the theater we looked at all the art work on the walls. Lots of really creative people out there. Nice drawing and photographs adorned the walls and most really stood out as top quality. The theater was cozy without a bad seat. Really could have sat anywhere and seen and heard well. We saw Boeing Boeing and thought it was well acted with talented actors. Will definitely catch more plays there.

We went here for the Genghis Khan exhibit. The building itself is a good deal more modest than I would have expected in a funky neighborhood. But the exhibit was excellent and was worth the $12 admission. We learned a lot and enjoyed it, a very nice way to spend a weekend day. And if you go, don't miss the singing performance at the top of every hour. The gift shop has some interesting things from Mongolia, but the prices were kind of high. Overall, a high quality experience. Nice job, Irving!

I came here for the Las Colinas Symphony. The symphony was a really pleasant surprise! The musicians were incredibly talented and really into their music. The acoustics were really great in the room, but I was sitting in the front row so I'm not sure it would've mattered much. Thanks Las Colinas Symphony for giving viola players some love by bringing in a world renowned guest violist, Paul Silverthorne. The piece he played as the guest soloist was simply amazing and having the composer not just living but present was a unique and memorable experience.

IAC has great free kids events, and free exhibits indoors and a fun, albeit small sculpture garden outside. We have fully enjoyed every one of our trips to the IAC. My kids have had a great time at the summer art camps and theater camps, they have both performed on the Carpenter stage and attended performances there. The Carpenter theater is indeed, as other reviewers have pointed out, a wonderful space where every seat is good. In my opinion, the IAC is a great asset to Irving and an affordable option for the entire metroplex. It may not be as grand as some places in Dallas or Richardson but, as they say, it's paid for! (and tickets are competitively priced- see especially the earlybird pricing and teacher and student discounts.) Be sure and check out the Momentum Dance Company's Annual performance of the Nutcracker! No little girl should miss it!

After being treated to the finale performance of the 2013-2014 Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra season, I asked for season tickets for my birthday and my lovely wife obliged. The venue is the Irving Arts Center, a first class atmosphere at which to enjoy some mighty fine music. There seems to be much happening here, although our experience has been limited to the symphony. There isn't a bad seat in the house, as the sight lines are wonderful and the acoustics are perfect. Very nice indeed!

Saw musical "Sister Act" and it exceeded expectations. Not only was the music good there was some funny and thought-provoking moments in the play.Non-stop energy, with costumes that were appealing and made you say that's unique.A real go see.
