Old school burger spot with a classic diner atmosphere and very welcoming staff! I really enjoyed the spicy fried pickle chips, which had a great fry and salty flavor, but they weren't spicy at all. The fries had a good texture too- light but still somewhat crispy. The burgers however were just okay, really good buns but nothing too special about the patties. Solid spot to stop by for a burger in the area, but I feel like there are better options at a similar price.

Heard this was a Dallas staple so wanted to check it out. The inside was very nice, giving an old school vibe. I went on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. You can tell they take pride in customer service which I can appreciate. I ordered the chipotle double burger with fries. The fries were just ok, I saw you could've got tots but wanted to see what the fries were about. I'll just say I should've got the tots. The burger was a thick patty and lacked seasoning. I felt it was cooked well done and it was a tad bit chewy for me. Didn't really taste the sauce so I asked for some BBQ which helped the burger a little bit. 3/5 for the burger it was still good, but not great. Pretty cool experience, I drive past it pretty often so wanted to check it out. Probably one and done for me though. But always check em out.

First time at Hunky's was a success! As a vegetarian, I always get nervous visiting classic burger joints in fear of lack of options. This was quite the opposite. They had plenty of options and were very accommodating. I got their house veggie patty in a classic burger with cheese fries and it was delicious! Cute little spot that I would love to come to again.

Sorry, the burger didn't survive long enough to make a photo appearance! I would have preferred a bit more seasoning, but it disappeared so quickly anyway.This is my go-to spot for turkey burgers (at least for now). I've been here a few times and have always had a great experience with both the food quality and customer service. They can sauté just about anything you like--jalapeños, mushrooms, onions, you name it--add Swiss cheese (my favorite) over a juicy turkey patty, and I'm happy every time.They also offer soft drinks and pre-mixed drinks like Jack Daniels Honey & Lemonade. The service is excellent, the dining area is clean, the management is respectful, and this place is definitely on my list of good burger spots in Dallas.

We rarely venture into Dallas but really had a hunger for a good burger. The reviews were good here and we got lucky that it was raining...so traffic and customers were much lighter.This is a great older style burger cafe. The staff was awesome and super friendly. There's only about 15-20 tables so I can imagine it gets packed in a weekend night. They even have TV's inside to keep you company. We ordered the fried mushrooms because they looked so good on Yelp. They were even better in person. If these aren't homemade than I've been fooled. They were AWESOME! Lots of crunch and great batter that was too thick. My double swish marathon burger and chili cheese fries was spectacular. So much flavor in the hamburger patties and the bun wasn't too thick. The chili/cheese fries were so good too. Then I stole a couple of my wife's onion rings. Great batter that perfect and huge pieces of onion. Some of the best I've had in a long time.If we get back to this part of Dallas I will definitely come back here.

Cute old school burger joint, that has lost its touch. For the location the prices are affordable but they seem to be cutting every corner possible to maintain some margins. There is no love going into the cooking. Incredibly dry burgers with stinky onions. You must soak your food in condiments to get them down.Milk shakes in giant styrofoam cups not so cute or old school.It's empty on a Friday evening with nice weather. Staff seems to be totally checked out and going through the motions. Been here many times and want to support it but it needs an update, maybe they could raise their prices and their quality and give their staff something they take pride in serving.
