Hubbard's

Last time I had been to Hubbard's was years ago when they had a location in downtown Garland. This was my first time at the Rowlett location.I ordered the Hubbard's omelette with ham, mushrooms and swiss cheese. For my sides I had the pan fried potatoes (home fries) and buttered toast. I had their coffee as my choice of beverage.The omelette was delicious and gigantic! I did not expect it to be this large. It was stuffed with ingredients and quite fluffy. The pan fries were cooked perfectly. Added some salt and pepper and ketchup and they were great. The toast was toasted just right and they put plenty of butter on the bread. It was melted and gave the bread a nice buttery flavor.The coffee was good and the refills came quick and often. I am not a fan of strong coffee so what they serve was perfect.Our server was very nice and checked on us every so often to make sure we were doing good. Never had to ask for anything and as I said before, the coffee refills came quickly.I've seem some reviews of this restaurant looking old and outdated, but I think that's part of their charm. If you want to look at bright new surroundings then go to IHOP. Personally I am a big fan of the older family owned diners and prefer them over the chains. Don't change a thing!

Cute friends servers, solid breakfast offerings I could the best value to be the country Ham and Eggs. Great flavor and a To-go box a must. The server we had really listened to what We asked for and delivered. Well done gang!

Cold rainy day? Can't get out of bed? Head down to Hubbards, get warmed up with a big homestyle breakfast!Plenty of room here: single-pringle, or the whole Tribe, come on down.I will keep this short: Avocado Toast, with 2 eggs over-easy on top, and a side of 2 Green Chile Poblano & cheese tamales! All I did was drizzle the house Habanero salsa on top, and I rode this bull for a trophy!Staff was courteous & helpful, the ambiance remains eternally Texas. Hubbards will still be standing after we become spirits.

It's a nice place , service was good, food was great portions were great. I guess for me I ordered the chili cheese omelette with pan fries and biscuits for me it was bland and needed more cheese on chili and maybe in omelette as well , pan fries needed some spice and gravy neede some more cracked pepper. I'll definitely go back but will try something else!.

I get the "local diner" vibe and love that but this place is dingy and dirty. It's time to deep clean and update the decor. Food is good not great and lacks seasoning. There always seems to be an abundance of young girls as servers that stand around talking to each other. With that many servers I don't get the wait time. I sat at the bar and just watched them stand there talking. DFW is too competitive and this place has potential. Definitely not my first choice for breakfast or even my 10th.

We live in Mesquite, Tx and had to go over to Rowlett to take care of some business. It was about 1pm Saturday afternoon and the wife and decided to get a bite to eat. We stopped here, we had never eaten here before, let's give it a try.Atmosphere was good! Clean, Warm, Friendly, Pleasant.Staff was great! All waitresses checked on our wants and needs as they walked by our table. Food was Delicious. I had catfish platter(5 pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw, pinto beans, pickled tomatoes and hushpuppies. Best Hushpuppies I have ever tasted!!) Wife had Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Okra, Cornbread, Cream Gravy and Mashed Potatoes. Potatoes where home made and DELICIOUS!Side order Homemade Pork Tamales, Pecan Pie and Sweet Tea!!Price Fair.. $23 Portion size - GoodI would recommend to all... Good fast service and lots of attentive wait staff. The eggs done to order and bacon,was crisp. Waffle was a bit more toasty than I prefer. Refills were as they should be.

The turkey and dressing is amazing! Natalie is wonderful and makes sure you have everything you need.

Food is good. Past 3 trips have received part of order. Had to get up and go to counter and ask for refills. Restroom dirty. Had been a long time customer, but i notice there are certain customers who get preferential treatmen even when they came much later.Have always tipped 20-22 perecent. First time in many years i did not leave a tip. Done with this place.

Placed a to-go order 7/21 @ 7:56 am. Place was not busy at all for my food not to be ready @ 8:15am. I was offered something to drink while I waited. Paid and left @ 8:30am. Once at work I noticed I was over charged. My co-worker and I noticed the bad taste of the bacon. She calls and was told that NOTHING is FREE so I was charged for the coffee I was offered. We went and took the bacon to them so that they can see for themselves. We were not offered a replacement or anything Other than a "credit" on the coffee. Today 7/26 we went in and had lunch thinking we would get better service. The menu I got states $11.00 for lunch special. The ticket said $12. I asked about this and was told that prices changed and asked if I want to see the new menu? We called Katlynn "the manager" over to the table and stated it was a simple mistake, I told her well its been several mistakes as the last time I was charged for a coffee I was offered and the bacon was bad and all Sara said is the owner does NOT give ANYTHING FREE. Last time we were also told that there was an upcharge on blueberries on pancakes todays ticket did not reflect that. My co-worker asked about that and Kaitlynn had the audacity to reach over grabbed the ticket and added the 1.50 to the ticket. I was surprised she corrected the $12 to $11. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD AND MANAGEMENT IS FOR THE BUSINESS AND NOT THE CUSTOMER. We will NEVER go back. These young girls do not know the meaning of being courteous and making things right when its wrong on their end. Customers keep this place going NOT whoever owns this place. I would love to meet the owner of this place and see if they even know that this place is being ran by some DUMB ASSES! If they are aware then the owner is a DUMB ASS TOO !
