Great tasty food. Quick on-time delivery. Decent prices. This Howard Wang's location (on Commerce) covers most of downtown Dallas and the surrounding neighborhoods. It is a pick-up or delivery only restaurant, but I've found their food to be excellent and worthy of a try. My dinner arrived exactly on-time and packaged more neatly than I've ever seen from any other delivery service. (See photos). You could eat directly out of the carton caveman style, but I prefer to re-plate my home delivery meals for a more pleasant experience, and it looked great! If you live in the central downtown area be sure to give them a try. Highly recommended!

The uptown location was my favorite midweek order but they closed. This take out only location popped up on my uber eats and I had to order. The food was ok. Packaged well. The moo shu was hearty and crisp. The shrimp toast was just as I remembered. Thick buttery and crispy. So good. The order came with an order of pancakes, fried wontons and fried rice. I'm not sure the rice was fried but the wontons were great for snacking the next day. I'd definitely order again if I had a craving.

I so had high hopes for this place however I got home and disappointed and regret set in that I wanted to cry. I have had the hardest time finding good Chinese food south of the Trinity, so when this spot popped up on my radar and I was hoping it would be my go to spot. I ordered General Tso's chicken with white rice and hot and sour soup - simple order to start off with. I placed my order through the app and was given an approximate time my order would be ready. A text message was also sent so I'm thinking so far so good. I got another text letting me know that my food was ready earlier than they predicted so I walked in and retrieved my food from the locker (note that this is a ghost kitchen and it's contactless service). I go out to my car and open the bag to make sure that everything is in there. It's looks right so I proceed home. Once I get home and I start unpacking everything I'm ready to dig in, but once I pop the top off the General Tso's chicken I'm looking confused cause this isn't what I'm use to. I give it a try and I'm like surely this is not General Tso's - this has zero spice and it tasted like some dry BBQ chicken. I move my attention to the soup and although it's a good size for the price, the taste is NOT what I'm use to when it comes to Hot & Sour . . . Salt was all I could taste and it wasn't even where I could power through it and just make the best of it. Out of everything that was ordered, the white rice was the only thing that was eaten. The rest of the food ended up in the trash can because this was not what I expected when I placed my order. I hate to say this, but this is some of the WORSE Chinese food I've had. Sadly for what I paid, I'm not willing to take another chance and end up hungry again. It's a no for me.

Thoroughly enjoyed my food from this "ghost kitchen" location; I was able to have fresh and delicious food so quick! Makes me wonder who is in the kitchen I ordered my food through an app and just had to pick up my food from a locker in a nice and organized facility; the place was also clean and had a few patrons waiting but it was probably for other restaurants that can be found in the building.

Ordered from this place via UberEats on a Tuesday afternoon around 11:15 AM, right when they open. Order arrived around 12:30 PM. All items arrived correctly, according to order.Vanilla Prawns with Glazed Walnuts with Fried Rice - I've always know this dish as Walnut Shrimp.Walnut - Pleasantly flavored. Not burnt. Not overcooked. Traditionally flavored.Shrimp - soggy, but I suspect these were better when they were fresh probably better when eaten at the actual restaurant. Flavor is good and traditional. Mildly sweet.Fried rice - Very smoky & very very salty. Could use some vegetables like peas and carrots. Not bland though. The sweet, walnut shrimp dish pairs, very well with the overly salty fried rice. I would recommend these two dishes together.Udon Noodles with BBQ Pork - Udon Noodles - green beans are cooked well still slightly crispy and not over cooked as with the carrots. You don't texture is also cooked well not over cooked, still slightly, springing in the middle.BBQ Pork - surprisingly decent flavor actually very traditional.Overall flavor of this dish is quite mild compared to the other ones. Not terrible, but would not recommend this one. Chow Fun, regular, beef - I believe they missed the order notes on this one since I found many chili peppers in this dish despite me ordering regular. I don't know where they get their chow fun noodles because they are very very wide; ~ 2 inches wide, perhaps they make it in-house. This dish came extremely watery. I don't know what it was sitting in - perhaps a ton of oil, perhaps a ton of water or sauce. Green beans or nicely cooked - still crunchy, but bland. This dish had too much char in it, perhaps a dirty wok - I think they were going for a wok hei flavor, but it just taste burnt. Dumplings (6) pork, pan seared - Also soggy. There doesn't appear to be much sear at all - maybe a few minutes on one side, and then quickly taken off the pan. Flavor is average. Sauce is average.Wonton soup - Two wontons in the cup. Texture of the won ton is absolutely disgusting - like toilet paper in water, it falls apart in powder once you touch it. It doesn't have at all, the springiness of a won ton skin in soup. I'm not really sure why they put edamame in here - it makes the flavor all weird. It would've been better off just putting cabbage alone and cutting it slightly larger. This dish was a huge disappointment. I would definitely not recommend this. Ended up throwing this one away.Overall, some of these dishes were hit and miss. I will definitely go back for the walnut shrimp aka Vanilla Prawns with Glazed Walnuts. Their cooking times appear to be good on the noodles. Many flavors do appear to be more traditional however, some are very bizarre. I don't think I would recommend this place, overall. However, I might try this place again in several months.

Usually, I am a fan of ghost kitchens. Howard Wang, I'm sorry to say, this is terrible execution. You have a major aspect of a restaurant that you don't need to worry about so the execution of providing delicious, quality food, is key. The chicken was not very crispy, the hot n sour soup was incredibly salty. The egg roll was the only thing that kept it from being a 1 star review. Perhaps I am just extremely spoiled with good Chinese food in the city I reside in but this is a below average Chinese spot that should have higher quality for being a ghost kitchen.

Sooo good and fresh! Some of the best chicken lo mein I've had. The crab wontons were good too, more cream than crab but they were still delicious.

I tried this place via doordash. It was pretty good overall it gave the traditional Chinese food feel. I did love that the out the fried rice in the OG takeout containers. I got the mandarin prawns and they were DELISH. I've never had prawns before but I was like let me give it a go. If you enjoy the honey walnut shrimp from panda you'll love this. They did forget my sisters fried rice with her order which was unfortunate but it's okay. The rice honestly is not good. It didn't have any veggies or butter or seasoning. It was very bland like forreal. I would recommend opting for noodles instead of the rice.

I like Howard Wangs. Both the original brick and mortar restaurant on Northwest Hwy and the Howard Wang's to-go for pickup/delivery. The chicken lettuce wraps are a nice starter. The mala chicken is excellent...wonderful white meat chicken, bell peppers and onions, mushroom and zucchini, and fresh jalapeños the add more flavor and a little heat. This isn't a Thai restaurant, but they make a very tasty bbq pork pad thai I usually get a chicken egg roll, but the last one I got wasn't very good. The service has always been excellent and they always honor my special requests. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered chicken lettuce wraps and they sent me tofu lettuce wraps. While they truly looked appetizing, I didn't have a tasted for that and was very disappointed. The ambiance in the sit down restaurant is a pleasing high-class space with friendly host, waitresses and waitersTry Howard Wangs!.Dine in or take out.; you won't be disappointed
