Loved the ambiance here! Walked in and loved that they had a live Dj he had me singing from the time I walked in! Service was top tier!! Tony was amazing! He made great recommendations, checked on us just enough and just made sure we had a great time. Great photo opportunities if that's your thing. Now here's why you came....the FOOD!!!Heatwave harvest (drink): 8/10 loved the presentation of this drink. The flavors were on point! It wasn't too sweet and was refreshing. I ended up having two but the only thing I'd change is adding more rum and less ice. Bourbon bbq shrimp: 8.5/10 alright presentation, but great flavor in the shrimp. The black eyed pea "relish" was good and wish there was a little more of it. The flavors went together nicely. Chicken wings (buffalo): 7.5/10 nothing special about the wings. They were a nice size and weren't overly saucy.Seafood artichoke dip: 7.5/10 really enjoyed the flavors in this dip! Wish it came out hotter and the cheese was melted. I also would recommend they serve this dip worth some type of pita bread or pita chip. The potato chips that come with the dip aren't the best combo. Shrimp and grits: 8/10 flavor wise this was pretty good. They aren't stingy with the shrimp and they were a nice size. I was missing the Gouda in the grits and could've used another scoop in the bowl. Eggs: 6/10 they weren't cooked as requested - soft, and were too stiff for my liking. The eggs looked seasoned with maybe pepper flakes. I did have to add salt and pepper. Catfish and grilled shrimp: 7.5/10 the shrimp and French fries were delicious. While the catfish was seasoned nicely, and had a nice crispy outer. it was slightly overcooked.Overall we enjoyed the food and looking forward to coming back for dinner service.

I wasn't able to give zero starts or else I would have because my experience was horrible! I have a lot to say about Hillside Social, but unfortunately none of it is good. I booked a reservation for brunch and it was our first time trying out the restaurant so we were looking forward to it. My reservation was at 130p and we got seated about 140-145p which was fine. Our server came to take our drink order, to which I had questions about the drinks and she had no idea of the answer and had to ask. She finally came back about 10 minutes later and we ordered 3 mimosas crafts which each come with 2 juices. When we received our drinks only 3 juices came and I asked where the others were to which the serve replied with "well typically people don't use a lot of juice so I didn't bring them all" I advised her that we wanted all our juices. She came back about 10-15 min later and from there we ordered our food at about 2-215. Come 3p I asked our server how much longer for our food and she advised she just told them to put it in and it would be a few minutes. Well a few minutes turned to 330p with no food and we asked for a manager and told them to cancel the order. A group of ladies next to us expressed issues as well and as we were leaving they received their food but said they sent it back due to it not meeting their standard, to which I can agree with because one of the ladies showed me what was supposed to be cabbage and it was brown. The service was horrible, from the server to the manager being that when we called the manager over he claimed he was going to come to our table, yet he walked by our table numerous times. We also had someone in our party that needed to have medicine with food and as I stated our food never came. All in all we were there from 145p-430p with no food. The only good thing about the establishment was the band. I would NEVER recommend anyone here nor will I even dare to try to go back. Worst experience I've ever had.

Hillside Social in Cedar Hill, TX, has a lot of potential to be a great spot, but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark during our visit. The ambiance is nice, with a relaxed vibe and great music playing in the background, which definitely sets a pleasant tone.However, the service was very slow. We waited a long 45 minutes for our food, despite there being only two other couples in the restaurant at the time (around 3 PM). Our waitress wasn't particularly warm at first, but she did improve as time went on. It would have been nice to feel more welcomed from the start.When our food finally arrived, the burger and fries for my husband were fine, but my buffalo chicken sandwich was undercooked--very pink inside. I was disappointed, especially since the fries were good, but the sandwich wasn't safe to eat. The management was kind enough to offer to remove the meal from our bill, which was appreciated, but it doesn't make up for the frustration of waiting so long for a meal that wasn't prepared properly.I really wanted to like this place, despite hearing some negative reviews beforehand, but the experience left me hesitant. When we were leaving, the staff asked us to come back and promised better service next time. While I appreciated the sentiment, I feel like if you have to make that kind of statement, it's a sign that the service wasn't up to par in the first place.Overall, while Hillside Social has great potential, the slow service and undercooked meal left us doubtful about returning in the future. I hope they can work on these aspects because the atmosphere and music were certainly enjoyable.

Went on a Friday night 2/21/25. DJ & Cover band. Great vibes, great service. We had a reservation which I do recommend; not sure if they take walking. The food was ok, oxtails could've been more tender and the finish more seasoned. Would try again, looks like they have a good happy hour.

First of all I was told that it's BLACK OWNED!! So let's first acknowledge that !!! Secondly, it gives night club vibes with the waitresses looking like bottle girls , with the tight body suits, and the handsome men to walking around for what ? Idk!! But I am thankful lol. It was giving very sexy yet classy at the same time . A lot of Eye candy for sure .. The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS, and looked to me to be themed in different areas of the restaurant. Each area decorated so nicely/ fancy but different . I had a party of 10 for my daughter's sweet 16 , and they did so well accommodating and being so attentive. I can't remember the name of our server , but she was a beautiful, respectful , tatted up, funny, yet rough around the edges a little .. she was definitely giving pretty tomboy vibes lol. She Had a short hair cut and facial piercings, had she been a little bit older I probably would have been trying to be more than her customer lol. Anyways , her customer service was amazing, very approachable/relatable and humorous. She laughed , made jokes and even pulled out my seat so that I could sit down ,, just so polite !!! It was a Saturday night , so they were definitely busy . And as they definitely should have been. It was Definitely a vibe !!! The r&b Music playing in the background, the bar was full of people and there were a couple of nice picture props including inside the lady's bathroom that many took advantage of including my party. The menu is something to discuss for real .. myself and my friend ordered a drink that came with cotton candy . The drink was slightly strong and sweet , it wasn't bad at all, but would I order again? Probably not. But let's get into the food !! They have so many great options that I simply couldn't choose .Initially, the cook/ person delivering the food seemed to be a little overwhelmed, which we understood completely considering the volume of business. Initially when presenting some of our food he /they seemed a little agitated. We had a large party , so I didn't react to the slight frustration. However , when they delivered the food and leaned that " I" had ordered two large entrees ( the oxtail meal AND the lamb chops meals ) for just myself , it definitely lightened the mood and we all laughed about my being greedy .Food was amazing !! Everything i ordered, I enjoyed !! This restaurant is definitely great for ladies night , Birthday parties, anniversary parties, and even just going solo and sitting at the bar !! I /we definitely enjoyed ourselves. This establishment is definitely a vibe!! I highly recommend this place and pray for its success!!!

I have high hopes for this place in the future.First off OUTSIDE of glasses were dirty.We got appetizer red velvet waffles that were cold with cold syrup .Our food was not what we expected.. all of it was overly salted and the grits had more Gouda cheese sauce than grits , the same for the Mac. We just could not bare to deal with it. (Same problems for 2 tables next to us)Frittatas do not have nearly as much protein as they should for either the oxtail or salmon. Crab fried rice was dry and flavorless .We also were the second table to arrive and got our food almost an hour after being here. Our server was not very attentive . We did like atmosphere and dj vibes . The drinks were refreshing EXCEPT for Bloody Mary which was made with a can of crushed tomatoes we saw being walked to the bar . It was not seasoned or dressed how one usually is . Out receipts made no sense and our concerns were not addressed as they should be for an establishment . Will not be coming back but I hope others have a good experience

Ambiance is very nice. Food was ok. The seafood pasta had a great flavor. I was upset with two small shrimp, a crab claw, and two pieces of crawfish for the price. I'm good. I will walk over to Razzoo's to get more for my money.

This was a pleasant surprise! After trying their brunch a while back, I wasn't expecting much--but dinner here is a whole different experience and way better than brunch. The dinner menu is where they really shine, with elevated dishes and flavors that are on point.The atmosphere at night is perfect for the grown and sexy crowd--great vibes, laid-back music, and a chill yet upscale feel. The food was fantastic; every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly crafted with care. The drink selection was also impressive--whether you're in the mood for wine, a cocktail, or something a little stronger, they've got you covered. For example, black eye pea hummus who would have ever thought to do that?If you're planning a visit, definitely go for dinner. It's the perfect spot for a date night, catching up with friends, or just enjoying a night out. I'll definitely be back for more!

I was at the location for a birthday party. Upon entering I was very pleased with the picturesque environment. It was beautiful florals all over the place on the walls. Each section of the location had different types of floral backgrounds. The restaurant was a very nice size and welcoming. There was a good amount of people there. It didn't take long for our orders to be placed but a little bit of a wait for our food to be served. I ordered the lamb chops with mac and cheese and asparagus spears. All of the food was good but the lamb chops were outstanding. The meat was tender and had a nice taste to it. The customer service was also friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit the location again.

You have to make reservations. It was 5 of us because if it was 6 of us it's a 75$ charge/non-refundable and Not use towards you purchase.We ended up at a table and moved to another table to see the band. One of the chairs was wet and our guess sat in a wet chair. The waitress wasted alcohol on her. The waitress apologized. They mention it will be a wait for food but we wasn't expecting a 2 hour wait. No one came to our table to mention the wait time. We had to flag the waitress down to ask. When she came back she mentioned that we had 6 tables ahead of us...We had 2 alcoholic drinksHeatwave $17.00+4 custom amount and there was no heat until we mentioned it then the took the drink back and put a cucumber and sugar cube on it and burn the sugar cube/Pineapple Basil Martini $17.00+4 Custom amount and Service Change (17%) -$7.14Total of 49.14What is the Custom Amount for?That is a ridiculous price for 2 drinks. Bottle are cheap at the liquor store.Never got to taste or look at the food. We were so hungry we're we had to leave.The only good thing is that they comp or ticket because they took two sips and we had to relocate to another restaurant.
