Hidden Waters

Beautiful venue and friendly staff! I went to a wedding here last fall, and everything was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend if you'd like and indoor/outdoor wedding, this place is perfect. And it's close to Dallas if out of town guests want a taste of the big city.

UPDATE: We decided to have a super small ceremony in a backyard but still are out 6k since we were not accommodated a new date by hidden waters....thanks.

I can't imagine anyone having anything bad to say about this venue! Booking Hidden Waters as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions of our wedding! The venue is absolutely stunning and Leah and Jennifer were such a pleasure to work with! They were by far the most responsive of any of our vendors, usually answering emails in less than an hour. Our guests raved about Hidden Waters being the most beautiful wedding venue they'd ever seen and our wedding parties loved the spacious and functional Bride and Groom suites.

Hidden Waters is a fabulous wedding venue in every way! So many positives...where do I start! 1) no traffic noise...so important!; 2) run by a super nice family; 3) GORGEOUS grounds; 4) new, large, super clean and cool Tuscan-style reception hall; 5) reasonable rates for what you get! LOOK NO FURTHER. Their "Preferred Vendors" are vetted and excellent professionals, too, so you can plan your wedding quickly and efficiently using their vendors. Like I said...SO many positives! :)

If I could rate this venue based on the staff, specifically Jennifer the owner, it would be less than a star. I don't think I have ever encountered someone who had such poor skills in communicating with someone who booked their venue. The venue itself is beautiful, I won't discredit them on that, but the way that Jennifer handled my situation was horrible. I am aware that she replies to all her bad reviews so I hope she reads this one. Let me start off by saying I got married here on December 3, 2022. No problems occurred prior to my date, but the day of my wedding is when I had multiple guests tell me that Jennifer was very rude. This happened at the very end of my wedding near the send off portion. The first problem we ran into with them was that we provided the alcohol for my wedding which was behind the bar, but for some odd reason the staff of the venue decided to place our leftover alcohol in a LOCKED room that we had no access to. Our catering informed us of the situation saying the staff wasn't going to give us the leftover alcohol. So when my husband went to ask why and what the issue was that's when they switched up what they said, and said we can take the alcohol but as soon as we do we need to be off the property, which nowhere in the contract does it state this. We did our send off at 11pm and we were off the property by 11:10pm. I had my parents stay behind to help with cleanup and gathering our things. We booked the venue until midnight, but for some reason Jennifer was telling my guests they weren't allowed back inside the venue. She told my mom she wasn't allowed back in the bridal suite to gather my items, my mom was adamant about gathering my things and she was finally able to go inside to get them. All this happened no later than 11:40pm. Their contract does state that everyone needs to be off the property by midnight, and to my understanding my last vendor was my dj. Now let's skip to the day after my wedding, December 4, 2022. I received an email that was regarding the "additional charges" that we have to pay for damages which amounted to $747. And you're probably thinking " that's a lot of money" and I know I thought the same thing. So at this point they charged my card on file already, and while I was looking at the receipt and "evidence" for these charges that's when I realized these charges were false and absurd. I was in communication with Jennifer during this whole issue and she likes to come off as someone who is reasonable and caring, and in no way was she like that towards me. The charges she included in my invoice were damages to the floor, dj staying past 12, paying officers for overtime. She claimed my videographer made a deep scratch on her concrete floors with his small plastic suitcase with wheels. She provided pictures and video "proof", but after seeing her so called proof and reviewing it something about it was wrong. For the pictures she provided pictures that appeared to be in 2 different spots of the venue. I went back and forth with her regarding this scratch because it was a $500 charge. She told me she will do her best to minimize the price. Funny thing is she said she was able to minimize the price all the way down to $100 and she just charging me $100 for the labor of cleaning the floor, which the contract does not state that I need to pay additional charges for cleaning their floors. The next issue was with my dj, so I immediately contacted him to ask about what time he was out of the venue because Jennifer is accusing him of leaving around 12:30am which she changed to 12:49am after sending a new invoice . He said that was impossible because he lives in Grand Prairie which is about 40 minutes from this venue. He sent me screenshots from his ring camera arriving to his home at 12:47am. I let Jennifer know about his and all she could say was that he is being dishonest. After 2 months of disputing these charges my proof was found valid. I want others who book this venue to be cautious of Jennifer so she doesn't overcharge you.

Hidden Waters is amazing!!! We had a wonderful experience having my daughter's wedding here. The scenery is gorgeous and not like any other wedding venue around. The staff is easy to work with too! I would highly recommend Hidden Waters to anyone!

This is absolutely the most beautiful venue I have seen. We didn't have to do much decorating at all and the owners take such good care of everything. The owners are so helpful and respond very quickly to emails! The price is very reasonable for this beautiful venue. All of our guests absolutely loved it and I still have people asking me about Hidden Waters! Our wedding day was perfect and I couldn't have imagined it any other way!

Such a beautiful venue, amazing owners to work with, and great pricing. They made my dream wedding come true and everything went seamlessly. This venue is truly a hidden gem in the DFW area!

Pretty disappointed. I called to reserve this venue for my daughters 15th celebration (Quinceanera) and was told "we don't do those". I asked, why not? She repeated, "we don't do those". I asked, what's the difference? She responded with "we just don't do those, we do Weddings, Special Events and Corporate Events, not parties". Pretty obvious she danced around the question and pretty obvious, Hidden Waters didn't want to serve a Hispanic tradition, because a Quinceanera is a Special Event! Here's a little education for you Hidden Waters. A Quinceanera is exactly like a wedding, minus the wedding vows. There is a ceremony and reception (dinner and dance). The party consist of Damas (bridesmaids), Chambelanes (groomsmen), family and friends. Oh, and a Quinceanera cost just about the same, sometimes more than a wedding. But no worries here... Willow Creek down the road is more than willing to host our "Party"
