I also went to this place when I visited Dallas a few weeks ago. I asked my friends what was some good fried chicken places I could go eat at. A lot of them recommended me to go here. The lady that took my order was real down to earth and held a decent conversation. However I will say that the chicken was ok and the fries weren't done!! They were undercooked and the chicken lacked flavor. Probably won't be going back.

Heard a lot of good things about this place before we actually tried it. Now the chicken is good everything about the food is good. nothing special, just good. I want to talk about the experience and the restaurant as a whole. Its not in the best part of town but don't let that scare you off. Inside of the restaurant is run down a bit but holes in the walls are the best. Don't come here if you are in a hurry because when we went it was only one person working the food and register and one person cooking. apparently we came between a shift change. the guy had no regard for time and wasn't trying to work fast. After he took everybody's order and got the line down, he started to prepare the food. this was of course after he walked in and out the back 5x, looked at his phone, and just took his sweet time when 10+ people were waiting on their food. Finally two more people came in to help him and we got our food. Despite the wait the chicken was hot and crispy and the fries were great. It came with Jalapenos and carrots (never had it before, but it worked). Def come in and try this food!

The new location in Mesquite is not what is expected, 7:20 you have nothing to serve the customers. Why are you open? Due to protocol we are open till 8, but stop cooking at 7. The only reason Hendersons grew is because my idea. I was asked how it taste, I responded like Rudy's with no seasoning. That was more than a decade ago. What you need to do is pay me for my idea to start putting seasoning on your product. You will never get another dime of my money, and I hope y'all go out of business.

This has got to be the WORST location in Dallas! Everytime you go in there they never have any fresh chicken ready! The last time I went I asked for wings, and they tried to sell be three burnt wings! Ummm.... NO! Totally unacceptable!

Came here on a Friday night, place was empty. Thought I can get in and out quickly. Oh no, now I know why it was empty, no heat and the cook and cashier was sitting outside in a car and came in behind me to help me. Ordered chicken and they said 15 mins. Ok, at least it will be fresh and can I add one of those peach pies. Yes your total is $8.... but you gotta pay cash for the pie. WTF okay forget the pie cause I dont have cash. Cashier yells and tell him what chicken to start cooking. 5 mins later, she gone need fries with that too. He say you aint still got no fries up there. Oh yea. So I get fresh chicken and dont know how old fries. No ma'm can I get fresh fries too. With attitude yea and she tells him and walks back out the door with a cigarette hanging from her lips. Chicken was ok, nothing spectacular. Will not be returning

The last time I visited this location it was pretty amazing BUT today I go and they have NO WINGS!This was a major disappointment. We actually left to visit another location(Royal & Abrams)..... Where there was NO CHICKEN at all! They even opened late, then had a 15 minute hold on chicken at 11:04am.The cashier gave us attitude for requesting a refund.I grew up on Henderson's chicken this level of unprofessionalism and flat out BAD BUSINESS will get me racing towards Chicken Express every time.

I was hesitant about coming to the Audelia location because the last time I ate at Henderson's on Abrams road the chicken had no taste, the bread was wet and soggy, they had no wings, carrots or strawberry soda. Maybe I came too late in the day (at 9:00 p.m.) but I still don't think that's an excuse for the chicken to be so wack. So I decided to try Henderson's again, this time at the Audelia location and the chicken was sooo good. The flavor was poppin and my bread was just right. It was so delicious. I ordered a side of lemon pepper seasoning but I didn't even need to use it because the chicken and their special seasoning was so good. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the corn fritters, it tasted old like old cheese that's been sitting out for a while, I don't know if they used old corn filling or what???. So I had to throw them away and the Koolaid tasted like water but these things are minor compared to how good the Chicken and meal was. I will be back. This location also has mini bakery of sweets like chocolate, lemon, strawberry bundt cakes and cupcakes. It's also a larger location which will allow for alot of seating area once they get the tables set up in there, unlike Abrams which really has no room for dining inside.
