My family loves this place. The facility is clean and well run and inexpensive. They have several workout machines and the wait if any is minimal. I highly recommend you join if you are a Richardson resident.

My friend had a baby shower and this was the venue. Parking was great when I initially arrived but it can get difficult to come by once people start pouring in to get their swim on at the splash pad next door. Once inside, I saw the workout area and people going hard in the paint. I looked lost and the gentleman at the front desk pointed me in the right direction. The room itself that was rented was very nice and basically an open canvas to create whatever sort of party atmosphere you would like. The kitchen is a good size and comes in handy for prepping food. Besides the layout, the room was nice and we could not hear the other activities going on down the hall.

My main use for this rec center is the gym, which leaves much to be desired. The membership has been growing, but the number of machines has, unfortunately, not. Limited machines is to be expected at peak times, but the competition for treadmills has become ridiculous. They have started to strictly enforce the 30 minute use rule, because heaven forbid you enjoy a nice, long run. The front desk staff could also use some training in customer service. It's not too hard to smile and greet members, or at least look like you're not having the worst day of your life...every single day. Sure, for the $60 membership fee, it may worth it as back up option for workout emergencies. But I won't be renewing when the time comes- the cold staff and treadmill drama just aren't worth it.

The newly renovated Heights center is big and beautiful. The workout area could be larger, but it's clean and full of new equipment. The basketball court is huge and the bathrooms are clean and bright. There is even a sauna! One of the best thing about the center is the class schedule. I have tried yoga and line dancing, both affordable and we'll taught! The studios for dance and other classes are very spacious, shiny and new. You can't beat the price, $60 / year for a Richardson resident.

It is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen because it has areas of interest that appeal to many ages. Climbing has a different area for children and big slides. Having 3 different swings is also thought good. There is a sand area and an exploration corner for small children. There are tables to have a picnic, the seats are under the trees in the shade, I'm very happy to watch my kids under the shade.

This review is for the Park (although from the outside the pool area looks AWESOME!) Anyway, we recently had a small family get together at this park and everyone enjoyed it a lot. First, the new playground is awesome. I'd like to thank Richardson for injecting just a touch of danger back into playgrounds via a ~15' tall climbing structure. All the kids loved playing on it and the height makes them feel like they accomplished something climbing it. It's awesome. Then, the creek and trails lets the kids run around and play explorer, have adventures... Be kids. We spent 3hrs here and I know the kids weren't ready to leave. Quite honestly, at the playgrounds in Plano, they spend 30 minutes and are bored...We cooked on the BBQ grill and other than needing to scrub it to get started, worked out great. Had no trouble on a Sunday evening getting a table/grill either which was a big surprise. And the playground has big kid and small kid friendly stuff. Mine are 9 & 11 just to be clear. But we had 3yrs up to 14 or so playing together. Everyone had a great time.
