My girlfriend and I recently had a wonderful experience at Goat and Vine. Our server Anabel was very attentive to our needs during our dining experience and the food was great. We had the gnocchi, bolognese, and the goat cheese balls. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice a we were able to get cute photos together with it.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and I have to say although the ambience is well done the service needs a serious looking into from the owner. It is spot on with all the other reviews that are left. Two Hispanic girls stood at the front wearing look like home sleeping clothes, stood behind the counter and did not greet us. They talked amongst themselves and stared at us. So we had to request a table for two, they took their time and took us to a booth. There's no reason why the seating hostess shouldn't be in uniform the way that the servers are. It looks super sloppy, and they did not represent the restaurant in any kind of way as a first impression. We ordered the goat cheese balls, and requested a bottle of wine. We had an older server with wavy longer hair and glasses. He didn't know anything about anything when it came to wine and we wanted to have a bottle of cab and we asked to see the bottle. His attitude and demeanor looked bothered that he had to go and fetch the bottle for us. We truly should've just left the restaurant at this point. We told him it was my birthday and he seemed at that point a tad bit more friendly and less bothered about doing his job.He brought an aerator for the wine which was cool. However the people who dropped it off and hooked the bottle up to the top did not bother to put a glass underneath the Spicket nor check to see if it was turned off before beginning to dump the bottle into it in about a quarter of our bottle was poured out onto the table and onto my purse, and splattered on the seat and on my dress. They neither offered to replace our bottle or compensate us. We even had to remind them it was my birthday so at least we had a dessert to sing. We truly should have some a manager at that point, but we were so upset and just trying to enjoy my day. I could not believe the level of incompetence and lack of service attitude will not be returning back to this establishment and I don't recommend you try here either despite how pretty it looks on the inside. Not going to last despite how much money went to build this beautiful spot of your staff is untrained with terrible attitudes

We went in last night for dinner. We had a reservation but clearly did not need one. We saw this reviewed in IG but for their other location. We figured we would give it a try. The restaurant itself is looked beautiful. The server was nice I can't remember his name. We order our drinks they were ok the smoked old fashion and the peach spritz. The peach drink wasn't for me way too sweet. When looking for an appetizer we were informed there were no meatballs. I thought whatever I don't typically order meatballs out. We ordered the bruschetta. It was pretty tasteless and bland. Then the server came back to let us know they also did not have either soup, fries plain or truffle and no baked rigatoni. It was pretty off putting when that's our first experience. We didn't know if it was worth staying but we decided to order the crab cake entree to share. The taste was good but the bulk of the dish was roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts and the tiniest crab crakes I ever seen. On top a pile of cheap veg they had 5 munchkin sized crab cakes. It was insane. They 4 cakes probably made up one normal size crab cake and it was $29! We decided we were done got the check. $100 spent for literally nothing. Overall wouldn't go back, overpriced, poor service on the restaurants behalf just not a great experience.

I'm giving this place 3 stars when it deserves maybe a 1-2 only because our server was great. I'm so sorry I don't remember his name, but he made the experience bearable. When you walk in, it's gorgeous. I love the decor. We went during lunch for an early valentines date and had the place to ourselves. It must not be busy at lunch during the week because it seemed there was only one staff on the floor and one chef. First issue.. they didn't have everything stocked on the menu, so I couldn't try the crab cakes. Oh well, went for the goat cheese balls instead. They're pretty generous in the cheese, was a little much for me but my husband liked and ate them. The food..... hubby had the spaghetti made at table side, the show with the cheese wheel was cool - the spaghetti.. tastes nowhere near the cost we paid for it. I had the chicken florentine.. the sauce was good, but I definitely could have made the dish better myself at home and I'm no chef.We also ordered the lobster bisque to try and after waiting awhile our server told us the chef decided to throw it out and they don't have any more. Well.. ok? The place just seemed very low budgeted for customers who come in during lunch, which I see is probably very few so they cut $$ where they can. We did get a free dessert for the troubles which was BOMB. A lemon cake with some sort of strawberry glaze. Probably shipped in as frozen or something, idk. But it was actually good. It made the long wait and less than average food almost worth it.Server was fantastic. Food for the price and wait times... fail.

We came in for dinner without a reservation and were seated almost immediately which was great The first thing we noticed was how oddly bright it was for a restaurant. Initially, we were seated at a table that didn't comfortably fit two people, so we had to be moved. Before we even had a chance to order, the host came by and took one of our menus, mentioning they were short on menus for other tables. It was an odd interaction seeing that she gave the menus to the table next to us. Our server, Chris, greeted us and seemed a bit frantic. We quickly realized why--he was not only serving tables but also making drinks behind the bar. As we waited for our drinks, we could see him hustling back and forth, clearly juggling both roles. Despite the circumstances, Chris was doing his best and was more than accommodating throughout the evening. Our food arrived about 30 minutes later. We ordered the lasagna and the bolognese. Unfortunately, the top layer of the lasagna was burnt and hard, so I had to send it back. To my surprise, Chris informed us that it was the last lasagna of the night--even though it was only 7:15 PM.When it was time for the bill, we noticed the lasagna was still on it. We had to flag Chris down again to get it removed, which he handled quickly. On a separate note, I mentioned the overly bright lighting to Chris, and he acknowledged it wasn't supposed to be that way. He promptly went to dim the lights. It definitely helped a little with the atmosphere seeing that another light was placed on the table when we sat to light the area.Overall the experience felt strained due to the restaurant being understaffed. Shout out to Chris for doing the best he could given the situation.

You would think an establishment that is so about private label wine would have better when than what they are offering, especially at their price point.Poor to fair chardonnay and middling red blend. Both of these were the house wines.

Cute restaurant in Allen! Visited for the first time during happy hour time during the week. We ordered a few appetizers, the crab cakes were my favorite but everything was good. They have good happy hour prices for appetizers and drinks. Someone commented about the paper menus and I agree, I am not a fan of restaurants with dirty paper menus.

AVOID Goat & Vine (Fairview). We had a gift card to use and were so excited to try their dinner menu. We tried to use it about 6 weeks ago, but were informed at that time that our bill was lower than the gift card amount and we would lose the excess. We went back 12/2 with intent to use the full amount. Our waiter was lovely and had some great recommendations for appetizers. But this is about where the positive points end. Cocktails were not made with correct ingredients. For example, their Last Word was not made with green chartreuse. After being assured that the liquor used was a very similar substitute, we ordered. It tasted like a vanilla lemonade My pasta dish was supposed to be made with peas, but they substituted asparagus and gave no notice. After our bill came, the manager informed us that they no longer accept gift cards. There was no posting about this anywhere in the restaurant. Only after insisting multiple times that we had already paid the establishment by purchasing the gift card directly through the business did they concede to at least comping the food. We still owed more than expected. All in all, shady business and subpar food with a beautiful atmosphere.

The waiter and the cook were the same person. We waited over an hour and the food wasn't that great at all. Would not ever go back. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

The service was inconsistent. While the staff was friendly, it took quite a while for our order to be taken. The food itself was hit-or-miss. My husband's lasagna was okay, but my linguine & clams were not very good. Considering the price, (more than $100 for lunch for 2 people), we will not be returning. The taste of the dishes we ordered weren't worth the price.Atmosphere is nice.
