Gilgamesh Restaurant

We stopped by Gilgamesh on a weekday afternoon. They serve a complimentary soup which is yummy. While I really enjoyed my food, my fiance was not a fan of his. I did a mixed grill half order. It comes served with a giant fresh piece of pita with rice and middle eastern style pickles . All of it was delicious . My fiance on the other hand got one of their shawarma sandwiches - he was not a fan of the seasoning and the fact that it was cooked in lamb fat. The waiter was kind enough to make him a different one, but it does have a very distinct flavor . It's worth checking out in my opinion

I really enjoyed dinner here! It's casual but a good place to sit down and eat with friends and family. It gets super crowded around 7:30+ on Fridays but still pretty decent service! You get complimentary water bottles, a soup (I think it was lentil soup) and dates! Delicious kabob and for a reasonable price! Definitely would come back and the don't forget to stop by the bakery next door and get some amazing baklava!!

The food is great here, there kababs are good. They usually bring out a lentil soup as soon as you sit down. Order some bread it taste amazing. I usually get the kebabs and the chicken with rice and it is good with tea at the end. Service is good and friendly . The ambiance is nice. Great place to go with family or friends

We came here with a group and ordered a variety of things off the menu. My husband and I ordered 1/2 order of the Iraqi kebob plate, hummus, falafel, and tea. Our server was very helpful and friendly, and was able to make accommodations for my food allergies (I'm allergic to nuts and sumac, both of which is used in menu items). I really enjoyed the kebob and hummus. The kebob was very juicy and flavorful, esp with the garlic sauce. The falafel was well made, but I personally prefer them to have more herbs. Our friends got the burger and kebob sandwiches, which they really liked. We would definitely come back, we enjoyed our meal here and the service is great.

Really enjoyed our meal at Gilgamesh. They serve lentil soup when you first arrive on the house, which was delicious. We ordered the iraqi kabob, super flavorful juicy, very authentic. Also had the lamb quzi, beet salad and hummus. Very delicious meal! Would come back for sure. Servers are kind. The restaurant is casual.

Work friend wanted to do a casual lunch in Richardson. We both love middle eastern food and up for trying something new. We met here, and it was very tasty. Waiter suggested we do the basics and try the hummus and big plate of mixed kabobs, mixed grill. We ate it all. Place was clean. I'll come back.

I can't see people giving this anymore than two. To any who rates more than two probably have very very low standards or expect to get like trash. Because that's was my experience. This place is trash, trash I say When you n your family have to wait two hours for your food. Like you are some beggar. When you come to spend money n good service. So to who have low expectations and expect horrible service . This is your place. Like a soup kitchen for homeless !!! I'm surprised you still in business. I would never forget the service you gave us! Go somewhere else! And to those who like this place I bet you think Jack in Box is a fine 5 star restaurant and Taco Bell is authentic Mexican food. My friend you got horrible expectations to the owners n staff , yall should of opened a tire shop. Habibi! yall a sorry pic of !

Absolutely incredible food & service. Highly recommend.We got 2 family bbq platters. These included a variety of meats and rice. Would definitely get again with a large crew.

Came here, and stumbled out of the blue waseem amazing!! he put together a meal for us and we had a little bit of everything that hummus and baba ghanoush and the platter was incredible, and the bread comes out in this huge circle, it was truly an experience! Really enjoyed ourselves

First, the manager was welcoming and clearly delighted to offer his food. He took time to explain what the dinner vs sandwiches had as sides. Then he kindly altered the standard for my diabetic needs.The food was divine- "meat soup" was satisfying with just the right amount of tomato as flavoring. The hummus is some of the absolute best I've had. And the skewered chicken was moist and flavorful. Even the bread was a surprise - guests getting this huge round pita bread. Definitely a gem!
