Garland Cafe

First time trying this café to me everything was great. Food tasted good service was great and it was reasonably priced it. I recommend the garland café to everyone.

I went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning just had eggs sausage hash browns and toast it was great kind of hard to mess up looks like a family run operation All the kids are working there at least it seemed like it but they all did a good job My coffee never was empty and the food came out fast and was hot and tasty

I just realized I've been coming here for 22 years- literally since they opened. They have barely raised their prices since, but always kept up with the amount of food they give you. They use processed orange American cheese, store bought croissants .. but everything is still delicious. This is not far to table, it's not highland park- but it's good food, never had a long wait even with to go items. I've never regretted an order from here. Most places a side order of bacon is 1-3 slices, we got 6. A breakfast taco was overflowing it was so full, eggs were fluffy and tortillas soft. The chorizo skillet was a huge portion with plenty of meat. The garden croissant was filled with egg, mushrooms and spinach.

Service was good. Burger was meh. The cheese is really weird. The little place was pretty busy for a hole in the wall joint. It's located in a sketchy area of Garland so pretty sure I won't be going there again.

Service is a big whopping disappointment. They truly don't care that you are in there. No water refills, no greeting, and no enjoyment. I had to get up to ask them if we could order and the server with the glasses was annoyed and didn't say anything. I also needed to grab silverware and menus for the family. 50% of the tables stayed dirty. The servers were super nice to the regulars and treated any newbie table as if we were dirt. The food was delicious!! We all enjoyed our chicken (super juicy). The prices were fair as can be.

Updating this post, Not only do they have the best pancakes in all of Garland, their hash browns are the best!!And their fries, doesn't matter if they're crinkle cut, regular fries; they fry them to a perfect crisp!

This is the second time we have visited Garland Cafe. Horrible service with long wait time. We thought the first time may have been a fluke so we tried again. It's no fluke...Unfortunately, I cannot recommend.

Wanted to have very late breakfast and saw reviews here for great pancakes. Cheap diner atmosphere, but got a table immediately at 2pm on a Sunday. 4 of us ordered omelette, pancakes, eggs, biscuits, gravy, chicken fried steak. All portions were super-generous, orders were correct, and everything tasted great. We were pleased and would probably go back.

Food took about an hour to come out. Servers didn't warn people before ordering that the kitchen was backed up or tell people until they complained about the wait. They should've stopped taking togo orders when the kitchen can't keep up and guests inside are waiting and frustrated. Poor service, poor food.
