The teachers are very talented, but they are not paid well enough given the amount we pay every month for lessons. The owner tends to speak down to others and the business just seems like a big money-grab. Not worth the money when you could go somewhere that treats their staff better. The managers are very unprofessional, with one of them who smokes right behind the school building.we won't be returning.

I called a dozen ballet studios before deciding on FSMPA. They had the best rate (5% off yearly membership paid up front), no costume fee for the recital (what do we do with $100 ballet attire anyway?), and they offer many other activities from music to arts to performing arts.Well, you get what you pay for. No glitz, no glam, no glitter about this place. Inconsistency with instructors (three in a year), curriculum, and award system (tokens for prizes given out with the first instructor but not the other two). We viewed the class on a TV screen but got to go into the studio once every other month to see them dance in person. The studio was always frigid (65 degrees) through the winter and summer time. I understand these girls are working up a sweat but they all came down with cold arms and hands. As for the recital, it was short and sweet. All classes (about seven classes with 10 girls in each) arrived early to get dressed. They all walked on stage and danced together. Then, each class did their own dance. At the end, they all got back on stage and did a final dance. Most other ballet studios have each class doing three individual routines. Depending on how long you want to stick around, I didn't mind this setup. The staff are mostly amicable. Shout out to Ms. Amanda for challenging the girls with difficult moves and also having lots of patience dealing with a bunch of girls with short attention spans.

100% recommend Shafagh for Piano lessons. I can't say enough about how friendly and encouraging she is! They offer Online Piano classes during the Pandemic (Covid19) and I would say the quality is as good as the in-person Piano lessons before the Pandemic. All I can say is, I definitely recommend Shafagh at Frisco School of Music if you're looking for an amazing Piano instructor for Kids in Frisco, Texas.

The Frisco School of Music is an artist's gem! My daughter has been coming here for over a year and she loves it!They offer a variety of lessons from music, dance, art, and acting. My daughter has taken dance, art, and acting. They offer group and private lessons in pretty much whatever your child has an interest in.They even have an awesome preschool/kindergarten program, The Musical Arts Schoolhouse. I would've sent my daughter there for preschool but I needed longer hours. The director of the preschool, April, is so sweet. The facilities are phenomenal. They have two buildings, one for their preschool and music program and the other for Performing Arts. All in all, I have been very happy with the Frisco School of Music. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but my daughter loves it and her acting teacher Shelby is awesome!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Frisco School of Music. WOW! While 90% of their students are under age 18, they are also very welcoming of adult students, either newbies like my husband, or someone like me trying to start playing again after many years. There's a wide range of teachers and instruments from which to choose, as well as voice. The lessons are very reasonably priced, and I appreciate just having it put on a monthly draft. Recitals are nothing like when I was growing up: these are FUN! on stage with lights, usually miked, and live streamed and then archived on their website. The emphasis is making learning an instrument (or voice) fun, engaging, and ongoing. Special shout out to the amazing Jordan Wilson for introducing me to the jazz art form. Just incredible. And to Chris the owner, who really goes out of her way to make this a very dynamic place to learn an instrument. Terrific job. Thanks guys for all you do.

My son just finished his 2nd year at the Musical Arts Schoolhouse which is located inside the Frisco School of Music. We couldn't have asked for a better early childhood education experience! The teachers are phenomenal! They are caring, loving and your child will be sure to get lots of hugs and support! Students get to rotate through different performance, art and academic based classes each day, which is sure to keep them engaged and excited. They get to experience music, dance, art, theater and an academic class each day, all with different teachers. In addition, they learn a ton of Spanish! I love getting all his art pieces through out the year. Not only do they get to create beautiful pieces of art, they learn about each technique and the artist who created them. With all the Spanish he learns, he often will teach me and his older brother all the Spanish words he's learned and the songs. They get to do these wonderful performances and art galleries, some with elaborate costumes, throughout the year. Great thing is, all the costumes are provided by the school and parents don't need to worry about having a costume for their child.Like I mentioned, I can't say enough great things about our experience here. The classes are small, they get hands-on learning, which is how these littles learn at this age, and the teachers are amazing. My son attended preschool here then the private kindergarten program. I really think the kindergarten program is going to help him excell next year when he attends FISD. It was amazing to see his learning progress of not interesting in writing or drawing to being able to write, draw beautiful drawings and do amazing in math. The grand finale of his experience here was graduation. An awesome mini performance with the graduates, complete with real cap and gowns! We are so sad his time here has come to an end but I know the memories will stay with him. If you haven't heard of the Musical Schoolhouse go visit them! We highly recommend them!

If there were an option to choose zero stars ... I would!I called Friday for the very first time to make an appt for the following Monday at 7:30pm for my daughter to have a trial (consult) for voice lessons with a male teacher. He only had a 30 minute slot on Mondays at 7:30 pm available. So I took it.Monday at 1:20pm my daughter who is 8 yrs old - her school nurse called and said she had a temperature & complaints of an ear ache. Long story short her ear drum ruptured around 3pm on Monday. With all the chaos of her being sick & ear issues, I forgot to call & cancel her appt that night (7:30pm). The next morning while at the doctors office - I called Frisco School of Music to apologize that we missed the appt the previous night. And if we could make it up / reschedule. I explained what had happened with my daughter & apologized! She said she would not & could not refund my money $37. We could not use it towards another lesson, plus we would have to pay again. I was also told that the other Mondays that we had scheduled in May were now filled by another child since we did not show up less than 16 hours prior the night before at our 7:30pm appt.No one ever called Monday night nor did anyone call Tuesday morning to say that they were giving our Monday spots to another child for lessons!!??????????????????????????Very strange ??? Very poor business manners!!!Will never go here and will never recommend to anyone!!!!! Scammers!! Very Mad!!I'm a business owner myself and would never do that to a potential customer/client.THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD THAT THEY ASKED ME TO PAY UPFRONT OVER THE PHONE BEFORE THE APPT!! I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!

Take this rating as 0 stars instead of 1 star, because just listen to me, its just all a big scheme to make money. first of all, I have been playing the drums for over 10 years now and i wanted my son to follow in my footsteps. i looked for starting classes for my 6 year old son, and so i took him to sign up. The moment i walked into the building, i felt something was wrong, because there were just all desks and sales people and the desk clerks Weren't really that polite either. and i saw the rooms, as it felt like to much space was put into the desks. they have a lot of selection when it comes instruments though it looked more like a business place other that a music school. i dropped my son of and i was going to buy a electric drum set for my son, and then i set it up, i went to pick my son up. and he said he liked it. fast forward a few weeks, he always shows me what he learns after every class, and for all those few weeks, he was just learning one thing, it was a very simple beat. i don't think any of those are trying their real best to teach them, as my son is showing my the rhythm with words instead of numbers, as they need to learn to count the rhythm. so then my son said that they are letting the class go a little bit early and he was waiting 15 minutes for me. i don't know what happened but i went 5 minutes after the class ended, so i think they let him go early. That is just horrible! they first are not even teaching proper lessons, letting class go early, and just in it for the money. i don't recommend this place at all. its horrible all just a horrible money making scheme for innocent parents who don't know a lot about music looking to join their kids somewhere to learn music, Just downright Fake and misleading!

To all parents living in Frisco Area. If you're a working family that doesn't mind being billed for service you havnt been offered then this is the place for you! If you go on vacation and notify them weeks in advance they don't offer refunds nor makeups. are you kidding me! How do you run a business like this! Is it expected that families won't have vacation or emergencies. I will never bring any of my children to this establishment. Would greatly appreciate , if any could reference another dance studio.
