Freedom Burgers And More

Man oh man!! This tiny little blink and you'll miss it place sure knows how to crank out some amazing burgers! Came here with the kiddo on a Friday afternoon around 1ish. I guess we had just missed the lunch rush because we were the only ones there. They don't have a lot of inside seating, but enough for several families to sit down and eat together, they also have picnic tables outsideI ordered the grumpy burger which comes with cheese, grilled onion, bacon, jalapeno poppers, and special sauce or BBQ sauce. I chose special sauce and requested well done bacon. Everything is made to order, so it took a little time to get our food. Everything was fresh and my burger was delish! The bacon was cooked just right, which ends up being a problem for a lot of places. I also ordered onion rings which were also very good. Kiddo ordered the double cheeseburger with fries. He said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had! The fries were cooked perfectly, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and seasoned just right. I placed a to-go order of pepper steak with rice and egg rolls for the hubs. I tried a few bites when we got home so I knew how it was. The rice was awesome...I'm not sure how they do it, but the flavor was so good. The pepper steak was good too, but I feel like the amount received was small compared to the price and there was a lot of bell pepper and onion. I wasn't a fan of the egg rolls as the one I ate was very lacking on the filling.Overall, we really loved this place and can't wait to come back. Also, their fish, Satan was very entertaining to watch!

What a pleasant surprise! This spot is past Azle, TX off 199, so if you are in the area, do stop by.There were already a couple of hungry folks in line when I entered. A very nice young lady greeted me when it was my turn to order. She answered all my questions, and I ordered a large burger, "freedom sauce" on the side, fries, onion rings (may as well try both, LOL!), and a walnut brownie all to go.I sat at one of the picnic tables inside while I waited. It was not a long wait, considering the fact there were about 4 folks ahead of me.It's actually very easy to miss this spot as it is very small, so look for the sign along 199. GPS brought me straight to it. I saw the sign before I realized the tiny building was the burger joint. Since I was heading home, I got my order to go. Seating is limited inside and I didn't notice any outdoor seating.The burgers were so good, I don't care that it's mostly a takeout spot. Scarfing a yummy burger in front of some streaming show on my TV is one of my happy places.It's always nice to find a "mom & pop" shop that has good food and service. I enjoyed all my food, but especially the burger and onion rings! I look forward to visiting this spot again.They offer a variety of burgers and a small Thai menu. Another patron was ordering some Thai food - I'll have to try that next.

The service was amazing with the people there. The food was such a good treat if I were you I would try the fries, they are one of a kind. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really good and seemed like the workers cared. 4.5 out of 5

A burger joint (and far more) on Hwy 199 that has my attention!I have read some glowing reviews of this hole-in-the-wall(?) place.... Wow! I am totally on board!It is situated near the antique shops just west of Tractor Supply. The restaurant is what looks like a portable building on a lot with just a few parking spaces. The owner(?) helped us with the menu since we were newbies. Very nice guy and clearly he has done this newbie dance hundreds of times. The menu is broken up into burgers, Thai, and Other.... + an amazing number of options. It is a pretty minimal Thai food menu, but overall there are so many great dishes to try!My lovely bride and I ordered a burger combo which we shared. We had the good sense to have the onion rings option and a nice cold bottle of Dr Pepper. The onion rings were exceptional. The burger was beyond delicious! Flavorful and juicy, hot and fresh! I promise you I will burn through this menu over the next six months or so. I will update this review a couple of times along the way. A lot of people say this place is hard to find and I can't totally disagree, but I am telling you to seek this place out and get yourself a fantastic food experience!Just an update: I went back the other day and tried the Philly Cheesesteak- It was pretty great.... The fries were good and we shared another order of those fantastic onion rings! Try this place!

Freedom Burger is a great little spot off the 199. Great food. Great service. Great value.

Excellent burgers! Very reasonable prices and good service. If it's hot out get take out, wall units don't do any good. Very impressed!

Really great greasy hamburgers and crisp fries.Small dining room and parking area which is actually okay by me because it gives in to the country feel where you are treated like family. Place was constantly busy with people while we were there with a mix of to go orders, families dining and other dining room customers.Burgers were perfect and hit the spot. Oh and the price for two basic burgers with cheese, one order of fries and two sodas $16.12!

We had a great Spring weekend and wanted to take a motorcycle ride to a good burger. So after browsing my fellow Yelper's reviews...we settle on Freedom Burgers.You will probably miss this place if you pass by it on SH199. I know I have several times. Now I know what I've been missing those times though.When you walk in the first thing you notice is the reason for the name Freedom Burgers. It's a military family that shows their support for those in uniform. Now some talk about their Asian influence also, but we didn't try that this time.I ordered the double (Grande) cheeseburger and my beautiful wife ordered the single (Basic) cheeseburger. We split it by ordering fries and onion rings. These most definitely are made on order. They came out piping hot and looking as good as they smelled.Wow! The hamburger patties were awesome wish so much flavor. Absolutely handmade patties too. Those onion rings and fries were excellent. Such a great hidden place.

Excellent old style burger and chopped brisket sandwich. Fries were fresh ,crisp, hot and lightly salted.
