Fratello Pizza & Doner Kebab

I really feel badly about giving this place 3 stars. The manager or owner was such a nice person. We went here for lunch on a Saturday, This area of Richardson is filled with ethnic foods and I was in the mood for a kabob. The name said kabob so I thought I was set. We were greeted warmly and seated. We were the only people there at noon on a beautiful Saturday. The menu was dominated by pizza but we did not want pizza. The kid had the kid's spaghetti and loved it. After scouring the menu, I could not find a kabob. You know, meat on a stick. They only had meat in a pita and a sub. They were out of rice or something so I just got the sub which is really not what I wanted. The wife had gyro meat in a pita and said it was dry. It had some kind of mayo based sauce that she did not care for. My sub was ok, not dry, but not in any way spectacular. The fries were well seasoned and crispy.Overall, it was a disappointment.

Margherita Pizza and habanero chicken wings, both were excellent, will be back again. Pizza crust was crunchy just right on.

great option for some wings & pizza Fratello is located in a complex of some restaurants near Main Street in Richardson. There's a couple of tables inside, but it is a little smaller space. There are 2-3 tables outside as well with lighting. Service is really nice; the owner himself is at the front. We got the Fratello special pizza, Fratello special doner kebab, and mango habanero wings. Wings were amazing! I was a little hesitant to get this because I was scared it was gonna be too spicy, but it had the correct amount of heat which was balanced out with the sweetness of the mango flavor. And I loved it with the ranch sauce as well. When I'm in in the mood for wings, I'm definitely going to order from here again. The doner kebab sandwich was good, doner meat tastes different compared to gyro, but the sauce in the sandwich elevated the overall taste. Pizza was good too, loaded with fresh meat. The sauce also tasted good. Overall, I'll come back here to try their pastas and get the wings again. I might try their Alfredo pizza too.

After a fair decline in quality, the previous owner decided to sell this business to an individual who had plans to bring it back to the local favorite it once was. Just 4 short months later, and I would say he's achieved his goal.The interior looks the same, albeit a little more cleaned up, but there's a noticable smell of garlic butter which really brings the atmosphere. The owner mans the front himself and he seems to love interacting with customers, especially to recommend them items they may enjoy.As for the food, this is really where things came around, and that garlic butter really does it's fair share. A soft and fluffy crust ends each bite of your classic pizza experience, plus you can enjoy it all with some party wings or döner wraps if you've got space in your belly. I haven't found an item I don't enjoy at least a little so far.Coming back to this DFW Halal classic, I'm happy to say it's a stop on my way through Richardson once again. If you haven't been or stopped going, I'd recommend giving it a shot!

The service is amazing. Very nice staff under new owners. They are so helpful and always smiling. The pasta was great, the chicken wings were crispy outside and tender from inside but a bit salty. We chose the lemon flavor and it was a bit much spices on it. The pizza tasted so good and was very rich with toppings but was a bit oily and greasy. Maybe they need to reduce the amount of oil they use for baking the dough. Pasta was great. Maybe need to be more creamy, or at least that how I like it. I am definitely coming back and will make sure to give them my notes when ordering!!

This Fratello's is under new management as of late March, 2023. Probably not halal anymore, but the food was delicious. We had the gyro wraps and the gyro on pita. The gyro wraps were pleasantly spicy, and my husband said the gyro on pita was even more spicy. Wine glasses and cloth napkins. Cozy with seating for maybe 24. The owner was so polite and friendly. Give them a try!

One of the best pizzas I've had in a while, especially considering it's halal. Even a week later, I'm still craving it. I went with my friends and found myself trying many different foods, all of which were great. My personal favorite was the ghost pepper pizza, a must try! The doner kebab was delicious. It's flavors are on point and perfect for a quick meal, but still filling. I also bought some pasta for my girls, and they loved it! Definitely will go again! The new owners were also very nice and are doing a great job.
