The ribs here are awesome and so is the service. I am a rib guy and these are some of the best. Clean restaurant and reasonable prices.

So my wife saw a TikTok review on this place so on our way home we stopped. I'll be honest, I have passed this place several times and have never thought to stop until after the review.So let me preference this with, this is a small family owned BBQ spot so please don't go with the expectation of some of the other places I reviewed that are a little more main stream like "Hutchins", "Hurtado", "Terry", etc.We did our normal for the most part. A pound of brisket, ribs, and a 1/4 lb sausage. Now I know the TikTok review said try the baked potato but I'm not going to a bbq spot just for the potato. If the bbq is good, it should taste good on a potato. It's essentially a blank canvas.Right off the bat, better than Blacks BBQ in Lockheart, TX (See my review for them on yelp) as they share that's they are from there . Brisket was tender but was really fatty. Even the lean was fatty. Ribs were too tender and fall off the bone. Sausage was good but I missed that snap. Good seasoning overall on the brisket and ribs but a little more salt. Good smoke. Nothing major. Just simple bbq. The sauce could use some work. It still tastes "raw" like flavors hadn't married.The service was ok. Definitely changed after a few conversations I had with other customers about some of my favorite spots that I have tried.Give them a try and see for yourself.

Maybe it was just a bad day. But this was a very disappointing visit. The smokey smell walking in the door was fantastic. Went downhill from there. We tried to order a couple of things from their menu and the guy behind the counter said they don't have those anymore. They should update their menus. When we sat down we noticed the table was dirty, with little balls of dust all over it. I looked up and the ceiling was dirty. It had spots of mold and dust and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I got brisket and hot links with green beans and Mac and cheese. The brisket had a nice looking bark but no flavor whatsoever, and it was extremely overcooked. Fell apart the second I touched it. The green beans must be from a can and they had no seasoning either. And the mac and cheese was the weirdest mac I've ever had - it almost tasted sour. The hot link was the saving grace. My wife had chopped brisket and it was also pretty flavorless. She liked her potato salad and cole slaw ok, but it definitely wasn't five star. Then the kicker - they have a sign pointing to overflow parking out back. We had parked there and walked around to the front entrance. While we were eating, one of the employees came and told me I had to move my car because their yard service was there. So I had to leave my wife while she was eating to move my car from their parking area. Not cool at all. Overall a bad visit, very surprising because of all the positive reviews.

I had the hot links, smoked chicken, mac n cheese, and green beans. The food was delicious.

Great Food, Great Location with a Awsome Southern feel. And the customer service is friendly and engaging.So glade I found this spot. Will send everyone I know to this spot!!!

Holy Smoke ? I say HOLY GUACAMOLE !! I am so sorry I didn't review this place the moment I walked out. This pit master is from the BBQ center of the universe, Lockhart, TX. His BBQ can run with ANY I have tasted anywhere in Texas. The brisket was moist and melt in your mouth. The ribs were tender and the sausage was wonderful. This place is well off any path or map, but make a point to try it at least once. It ain't fancy, but it is tasty. You will not be disappointed.

Exceptionally tinder fall off the bone tender ribs full of flavor as well as the hot link! Enjoyed the entirety of my experience at Franks Holy Smokes! Warm greeting family/friend forward with southern charm! Green beans were delicious as well! Will be back!

Went in to order sliced beef sandwich- 2 meat dinner and a stuffed potato. The potato was gigantic as you can't find bbq like Texas bbq in Florida, California, or Hawaii. Only issue I had was the up charge for the Mac and cheese being $6.55 for a large 16 oz and with the dinner there was no charge and it came with a 8 oz. The person at the register said he wouldn't charge me for the up charge as it was already poured. I thanked him got my order home and looked at my receipt only to see the up charge was still there. Made the order a less than appealing experience. The food was good though. They were busy smoking turkeys for Thanksgiving. I may give them a try next time I'm in town.

Convenient and easy to grab a to go order!! Always yummy lunch!! Nearby park to sit and enjoy a wonderful lunch outdoors!

Their loaded baked potato is very good. It is enough for multiple meals too. The brisket is always on point and you cannot go wrong with the Lockhart sausage.
