It's been a long time since I'd been here and I was glad to see the food and service were as good as always. Since I was there last (but probably not recently) they enlarged and enclosed the front patio...very nice space! The inside dining area is a good size and cozy. It's easy to carry on a conversation even when it's busy. I had the brisket enchiladas for lunch. The tortillas are dipped in a guajillo sauce that has a really good kick. Not overwhelming, just really good. Even a wimpy palate like mine can handle (and appreciate!) it. The enchiladas are filled with mashed potatoes and topped with brisket, onions and mushrooms. The brisket is flavorful, tender and juicy and you get a good portion. All of this sits on a nice poblano sauce. This is soooooo good and very filling. Definitely not your traditional Tex Mex!

This is a cute, one-of-a-kind place located at the nexus of the city of Garland and the city of Richardson at Plano Road and Buckingham Road.The menu is very consistent Tex-Mex: enchiladas, tacos, tamales, burritos, rice and beans, etc.The waitstaff is quick and efficient and the building itself is unique with both indoor and patio seating.

Texas has great Mexican Cuisine, likely the best in the US. Visited Frankies this past weekend. As with all good Mexican restaurants, it looks just okay inside and out. It's kinda the way you want Mexican restaurants to look. We were a party of four with a baby. Our party was promptly seated, even on a busy Saturday evening. The infant chair was promptly delivered with along with freshly made tortilla chips and hot/mild sauces. After a recommendation, we all had the Brisket enchiladas served with beans and rice. The brisket was pulled and shredded, then wrapped in slightly crusted tortillas. The food was awesome as was the service. You gotta try Frankies.

The people here are nice and friendly. They make you feel welcome and acknowledge you. The guiso stew isn't for everyone - it's savory, but thicc. The crunchy ground beef taco has a lot of flavor and I would get it again. This place used to be a Dairy Queen but then they took over and I think it's in a great spot. I would definitely come back !!

I am usually very happy with the service and food but not tonight. The food was great the services not so much. Waiter didn't seem to care. Charged us wrong and for extra stuff. Place is still great I love the bar areas and should have sat there. Husband said horchata was good had it for the first time.

Love this place. The food is excellent. The Gato's Pasta is awesome. We also tried their Cerviche, it came with some stuffed jalapeño peppers, I will definitely order this again. Really good food!
