Came here on a last minute dinner on a Monday. I was surprised how busy it was. Still didn't have. To wait but good for them on the busy Monday service. The sever was so nice and we asked her all the things to eat. Got a bit of all. We had to try the dumplings we were not disappointed in the food. Best was the green beans I must duplicate hehe The green tea gin drink was fantastic I might have had two. Can't wait to be back.

This place is BOMB! Y'all have to come here. The restaurant is so beautiful. The interior decor is so cool and v Chinese. We mainly came here for drinks, but I did order a hot and sour soup and it was delicious!!!Service was a bit odd and inconsistent. But overall, I would come back :)

I visited Fortune House with a coworker back in November while in town for a conference. He was chatted up a woman on his flight and he asked for suggestions in Dallas and she suggested Fortune House. So we grabbed our rental and headed over. First off, Fortune House is located in a really cool neighborhood of Dallas called Greenville. Lots of restaurants and shops line Greenville avenue and it looked as if anyplace you went to would be a great meal. However, we were told the dumplings were awesome! It was a beautiful day and we decided to sit outside. The server was extremely friendly and welcoming and walked us through the menu. Unfortunately, they were out of a few items and that initially bummed us out as it was a Saturday afternoon and they were out of staple items already. However, we moved past this and ordered a few items. We ordered the Pan Fried Pork Buns (so friggin good!), Shrimp & Pork Dumplings (very tasty), and the Pork Xiao Long Bao (also very good). They were out of all of their chicken dumplings. We also ordered the Shanghai Baby Ribs which were cut into small pieces and were just okay. We also ordered their Fried Rice which was also very good. All dishes were enough to share and all were very good. The atmosphere was lively as a lot of young groups were sitting outside. A younger couple sat down next to us and we had a nice conversation with the local couple who began chatting us up as they overheard our convo and had some questions about our lines of work. On top of all this, the prices were very reasonable including the alcoholic beverages we both ordered. Fortune House is well worth the trip into Lower Greenville and if you have time after your delicious meal, stop and enjoy the shops and take in the local flavors.

Came to Fortune house with a large group after an office happy hour to have some more drinks and a little dim sum. First impression was that the place was huge and had a nice feel to it. They had a full menu of Chinese food in addition to the dim sum. Our server TC was extremely helpful in guiding us thru the menu. Had some soup dumplings and a few others. The shrimp dumplings served pan fried were my favorites. My only slight ding for the 4 stars is that the food took a little while to come out. All in all very good and worth another try.

Busy Thursday night for dinner but we had reservations for four and were seats right away.Tip: We should have brought five canned goods for their November food drive to save 15% off our table tab. Cocktails: green tea vodka shots serve in a teapot, and Moscow mule were goodFood:Known for the dumplings which were very good. Th scallion pancakes says 2 on the menu but one order could have served thefour of us because it was a big order. They were crispy, light, and had a nice dipping sauce with it. We enjoys the spicy green beans, steamed rice, and salt and pepper fish. The whole tea smoked duck was overcooked and cut strangely so every piece was dry and full of bones so it was disappointing since we are more fans of Peking Duck where the meat is sliced and easier to eat on a bun. We would not order it again. Parking : available in an open lot across the street in block away behind the Truck Yard Parking, across the street from Trader Joes. Service: Attentive and fast. Water pitchers brought to the table was smart for refills. Ambiance: Noisy from a full restaurant but we could still hear one another seated inside in the back by the stairs.

We celebrated my sister's birthday on Saturday night and it was a truly enjoyable experience! I made reservations for 7:15 on Resy. Our party of 3 arrived about 15 mins early and were greeted with smiles and friendliness. We were immediately taken to a round table near the middle of the floor. The decor was beautiful; wooden accents and traditional paper lighting throughout. Our waiter Jose arrived promptly. He was courteous and patient while we viewed the menu which was pretty extensive. For drinks, we ordered martini's with Lychee fruit which were outstanding! Not too strong or sweet.. perfectly balanced. For dinner, we started with the vegetable eggrolls. They are more like spring rolls but tasty. We also ordered the scallion pancakes. I didn't dislike the pancakes but they did lack a bit of flavor. A side of sweet and sour sauce accompanied them which helped a bit. For mains, the pan seared dumpling sampler, crispy ginger beef, spicy dried green beans and Yang fried rice. Everything was flavorful and shareable. And since it was my sister's bday, she received a complementary dessert which was three steamed buns with what I believe was a vanilla custard inside. Those were good light, fluffy and pretty good. All in all, great service and good. We'll definitely be back!

The wife and I had some cravings to try some dumplings tonight so we headed over to Fortune House.. We made a reservation because I was told that it gets pretty busy there. The host and staff were very welcoming. We order a few items from the Menu. I'll be honest, the Pork dumplings really lack flavor, but the other items were good. The ambiance is very chill and the place was very nice. Maybe next time I will give there noodles a try and some sesame chicken.. great place over all.

One of my favorite Chinese spots in the city of Dallas. Fortune House checks the box whenever I need Asian cuisine. Also, Saturdays nights at the bar inside passes the vibe check. Personal Recommendations:The Vegetable Rolls ($1 on happy hour after 9p)The Fortune-Tini (twist on a Lychee Martini, $7 after 9p)Orange Chicken House Fried Rice (with chicken &/or shrimp)

First time coming here was nothing but memorable... not in a positive way. We were sat on the patio where our server didn't introduce herself or apologize when TRASH from above on their rooftop fell down into our table and splashed all over our food. She stood there with a blank face as we asked to move inside and have our items that were ruined by the trash taken off our bill. No apology, nothing. The food itself was beyond mediocre. The crab ragoons had a horrible after taste and were nothing like any I've had before. Soup dumplings were bland and filled with fatty juice vs soup. As for the orange chicken and general tso chicken you're better off going to your local mom and pop Chinese restaurant.
