Florida Style Seafood

Let me start my saying this isn't for groups. It's small but quant. Not real fancy but no big deal. I walked in about 7:30 and 2 ladies were eating a Ramen bag. Looked tasty and they said it was pretty good. As I'm looking through the menu I started asking the chef about some items as this was my first visit after some friends expressed their liking. The chef is the only one working and he stated he was going to close after the two ladies finished their meal. I state that I'll leave but he then says he will go ahead and serve me. Now mind you that 8 more people came in after me so had I declined and left he wouldn't have that biz. Anywho, I ordered the catfish figuring it would be easier to eat than the ramen bag. The fish was beautiful and huge. It was too big and was bordering on dry. The flavor was different for sure. I wasn't a big fan but I ate one filet. Also ordered the seafood wings which has a dry rub of special seasonings. It was ok. I'll have to come back and try something else and go from there.

This was my first time going to the restaurant, and I was not disappointed. They had live music and a lot of mimosas because it was Mother's Day, and I just so happens to be there to reap the benefits.My drinks were really really good and my cat fish and grits was amazing a little on the salty side but it had a lot of flavor. My server was really attentive and had a really good customer service, my day got you a man in the bag and he wasn't a big fan of it but maybe other people like it.I would still go back and try something else on the menu just because I enjoyed myself so much and the vibes

This place was on point!! Great vibe, food was delicious that dirty wata was a real treat! Neckbones was falling off the bone as they should!! Wifey enjoyed seafood tray with Lobster!!

If we were scoring off service it would be a 0. The service was so slow that people were leaving because it was taking so long for them to be greeted. In my opinion there was more focus on the bar than the rest of the tables to a point where we had to go ask for our check.The food. There was a great deal of seasoning on the crawfish but for whatever reason it did not penetrate so it was rather bland. The Turkey necks were good. The ramen bag... first of all, the price for that bag to include 6 small shrimp, 12 slices of mushy sausage, 1 potato cut in half, 2 eggs and dry ramen is just ridiculous. They say it's sitting in "wata" but it's not. I had to pour the juice from the Turkey neck bag in it because it was so dry.I've been wanting to try this place and now that I have... I'm good.

Listen...IDK if it's just because we came on a good day or what! But the food and service was AMAZING! Even though the Chef was the only one there, he did an amazing job servicing my friend and I. He explained the menu too us and everything. He's from Jamaica and straight forward, which I really appreciate. (A lot of Americans can't accept that lol)But I had the Ramen bag, which was seasoned to perfection. It came with Ramen (that was cooked perfectly, 2 eggs, a nice sized potato that was cut in half, 2 corn, cut up sausage and many shrimp. Now I like to EAT and it was still too much food. I shared some with my friend. Now my friend ordered a pound of snow crab which were a nice size, not those skinny/sad looking clusters. She also had rice and the sausage.They also had chill R&B playing in the background, which I enjoyed.Now! I live in Atlanta and there's a lot of good seafood boil places there. But this place lived up to my expectations. So anytime I come back to Dallas I will come back and I'll definitely recommend it to friends. Y'all should think about an ATL location.

So I really try and support small minority owned businesses. Let me break down the GOOD, Bad and ugly.Cocktails 5 STARS- Beach Please and City Chick were delicious. Creativity 5 STARS- The ramen noodle added to the boil is fun to do once. Ambiance 4 STARS- Restaurant is clean and simple. The red and black color is cool. Customer Service-5 STARS-waitress was patient, cool and friendly. She was from Detroit my hometown so we clicked.Food 2.5 STARS- it was average. It was just spicy, but no seasoning. It was lacking in flavor. The corn was good. The potatoes were ok. The crab and shrimp were decent. The ramen noodle added an interesting factor to the meal. Overall I had a pleasant experience. This place is still fairly new. I see potential and hope they make it. The ramen noodle was a cool element. I would say worth checking out once. Those cocktails are AMAZING. I would definitely visit again for the drinks. The cocktails were more the WOW factor.

We're from the east coast and have been wanting some seafood. They claim they're Florida style, so Came here to try them out. Got the seafood boil with crab and ramen for my husband and I, a wings and fries and my son got the fries shrimp basket. Crab boil bag: $54.99 NOT WORTH THE PRICE. noddles were salty but was good when eating with the eggs. Got half a crab (legs). 4 pieces of sliced sausage, 2 4 inch corn cobs, 2 boiled eggs, and 1 potato slices in half. They also didn't have the updated price on the menu for the crab legs. Wings and fries were good. The fries are probably the best thing on the table. They were crispy, seasoned well. Fried Shrimp were salty, but good batter, not thick. Appreciate the tail being off. Son got a bottled Fanta strawberry soda, it was old. I ordered a pink panties cocktail. It was very pretty and flavor was great but for someone who doesn't have a high tolerance I felt NOTHING from this drink. I got charged $15 for some strawberry juice. (If anyone knows about the "Asian curse" when it comes to alcohol then you'll know what I'm talking about...google it) Witnessed an altercation between the only lady working there and 2 customers. They were mad about the 15% gratuity that's automatically added. The lady working did NOT do a good job at trying to deescalate the situation. She was yelling at the customers and blaming management/owner instead of telling them that it could be removed per the gratuity sign that's posted. It was escalating and for a second I thought they may fight. Employees should probably get some training on how to handle situations. Yelling and cursing back at the customer is not going to make the situation any better. My son started crying and was scared. We don't do that ratchet shit...especially not during the day at lunch time in a family friendly restaurant. Not cool at all. Overall, not a place we will be returning to. We paid $180 for this and it was so NOT worth it.Oh and THIS IS NOT FLORIDA STYLE SEAFOOD. You didn't even have hush puppies on the menu. I've lived in north, central and south Florida. This is NOT it. Change your name please. Very misleading!!!

HUSBAÉ (newly married, don't mind me) lol had a great meal at Florida Style Seafood. Came in around 8:30pm on Saturday and it was fairly empty. The place was Creatively decorated and seafood themed. Service was quick and friendly! I didn't catch the waitress name but she recommended the city girls and the city boys for drinks and they were delicious!!! We came for the ramen bag with snow crab legs we saw on instagram and it didn't miss! The sauce or spice level isn't listed on the menu so we opted to try it the way it came. I think next time we may ask if they can make it a little spicier!! The snow crab wasn't too small, was cooked beautifully and had great taste. We added broccoli which tasted extremely fresh & topped it all off with some of their delicious fries! Can't wait to come back and try again when it's a little livelier. I would love loved to jam with the DJ I heard they have while I eat!

First time coming and let me say it was DELICIOUS! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and had a drink in front of us within 10 minutes. The waitress was soooo nice and attentive. The place had great music and was all around nice. When the food came out, let me just say it was AMAZING! I got the snow crab ramen and it was delicious. Everything was was top notch! Coming back for sure!

My bf and I came here on my bday there was only one other couple in there (close to closing time) our server Londa was amazing and helped us find exactly what we wanted ! Food was amazing and seasoned perfectly. It was the best tucked away little restaurant and we will definitely be back
