Fish N Tails Oyster Bar

We have driven by this place for years, but never stopped in. I didn't have high expectations, but was really impressed with the menu variety, and the food was delicious. The Mahi Mahi was a little slow to arrive. Other than that it was great.

The ambiance is wonderful. The food was bland. Had the oyster poboy. Like I said little bland. Put a little cocktail sauce made it a lot better. But it didn't come with the order. It was a little to cold inside for my comfort Probably want be back unless I am nearby in Rockwall. But to many other restaurants to try in the area

They have great beeritas! I got the fish tacos. They were good but needed a bit more sauce.

This place was clean and quiet. The service was good and the bartender has a great personality. Now the issue is the food. I got a dozen raw oysters a piece of fish and a margarita. The fish was fried and came out hot. Great cornbread batter just no seasoning. I added Tony's but if I have to pay for it and season it I might as well get paid for doing it. The raw oysters were not appealing to the eye it was a little sketchy because of the appearance. The ice was already half way melted they place a plate over the oyster which covered 4-5 oysters. It would have been better placing it on the side. Margarita was okay for a premade mix. I would have like one freshly made. They were far from busy. It's not the location, it's not the service, the place was clean! It is Literally the food here.

Service and the food were great! Good portions! Plus fresh and very tasty! Lots on the menu but all the choices I've made were good portions and delicious! I've had the salmon, catfish, and shrimp cocktail all delicious and big portions!

Went tonight and we both had the catfish and oyster basket..we were shocked at how the portion size was cut way down...we had a very small piece of catfish and 4 of the tiniest oysters we had ever seen. We never leave hungry but tonight we surely did. Very disappointed tonight.

I ordered food from this place before. Today, I placed my order, my regular order that I do as always. They gave me a SPOILED Agua de Jamaica, SPOILED.. I can't imagine how many more people they are giving this to.... Gross

Food is always is good the staff is nice and friendly. The open seating is a little intimidating but there's always a place to sit.
