Great food, quick service, and a really nice staff! I got the char-gilled oysters and they were DELICIOUS. They have the little saltine framers ready at the table along with any other condiments you could need. My oysters were a little bit on the spicy side which is really enjoyed, but if you're not someone for spice it's definitely something I'd look out for!

This place is either counter service or bar service. If either dining by yourself or with another adult, the bar is an option. Otherwise, it is counter service. While in line waiting for one of the cashiers behind the counter, I was scanning the dining area. All the tables were either occupied or had a numbered tag. The mariachi band in the dining area blocked my view. I failed to find an empty table without a numbered tag. I loathe counter service for this reason. You place your order at the counter and pay for it in the hopes you find an empty table. There were many open seats at the bar, so I decided to dine there. It took sometime for either bartender to acknowledge my presence. Eventually when one did, l made sure to order both food and drink. Knowing I wanted hush puppies, I ordered one of the combo baskets which appeared to be the least amount of food: 1 Catfish Fillet & 4 Oysters with slaw as the side. The slaw was served in a small container half filled in dressing. The cornmeal mix in which the catfish and oysters were fried had plenty of seasoning. While the fried catfish was enjoyable, the fried oysters were not. The seasoning itself was not enough for the oysters. They definitely needed the tartar sauce. Of all the items in the basket, the hush puppies were my favorite. Too bad they cannot be ordered as a side.

Went here with friends and surprised I've never seen this place before. Clam chowder was really good, definitely will try it again. Chargrilled Oysters were okay. A bit spicy that they don't warn you about. Bummer that you have to go to the counter to order adult drinks. Will probably give it another try to see what else they have.

Over seasoned seafood boil, more sausage than seafood. The seafood boil was immersed in grease and seasoning and still was not flavorful. Crab cake was mediocre my wife sent it back it lacked taste. Spent over $120 for two people and we left unsatisfied and truly disappointed.

We visited this restaurant on July 4 while out shopping, pleasantly surprised to find them open on the holiday. With such an extensive menu, it took us a moment to read through it all, but the variety was impressive. We started with a cup of gumbo, which was pretty good. The ceviche followed and was also really good. We tried the catfish po'boy, and it wasn't our favorite in the area, it was still a solid sandwich. The catfish was a bit under seasoned, but each table has a variety of hot sauces and Tony's Cajun seasoning, which did the trick one added. We also got fried oysters, which were seasoned well and tasted great with lemon and hot sauce. The coleslaw was fresh and sweet, perfect for those who like a sweeter slaw. The onion rings were thick and freshly cut, but unfortunately ours were underdone so we didn't eat them. Overall, it was a reasonable price. The value and speed make Fish n Tails a great spot to try. Despite a few minor issues, we left satisfied and would recommend giving this place a shot!

Don't pass this place by for Outback. The food is better and less expensive! Order at the counter and head for the bar area. Sports bar vibe and TVs showing all sports. There are plenty of delicious drinks. It's not overcrowded...yet.Catfish and shrimp perfectly fried with a light and crispy batter. Fries were amazing. Hush puppies delicious with a little hot sauce. I'm definitely going back.

Out shopping on a Sunday afternoon, we made a random drop in to a place we saw off I-35 called Fish N Tails Oyster Bar. As you walk in, you notice that it's an order first and then sit and wait for your order kind of place. Casual dress with a big bar just to the right of the entrance. The atmosphere seems a bit off kilter as it seems to be best suited for being right off a lake and not having everything enclosed. Wide open spaces so the tables aren't close and it looks like the kind of friendly place where you might find yourself sharing the large 10-12 tops that are scattered around the place. The nicest folks work here. The menu has just about everything you can think of including fish, shrimp, oysters, pasta, etc. My wife was not overly hungry so she just ordered the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Fair warning if you order spicy, it's true to its word. Caliente!! At $9.95 have to say you get a pretty large amount of shrimp; now we're talking the smaller shrimp but there's quite a lot in beer mug they serve it in. She also grabbed a $5.00 beer which is a decent price also. My 13 year old daughter decided she wanted the kids quesadilla. She still doesn't eat much and this was quite a surprise as it was decent size and the flavors for both it and the cole slaw side she ordered were great. $7 for a kids meal with a side is good but beware the drink isn't included. They have a large soda fountain island where you fill up your own cups. My catfish basket with four oysters had hits and misses. Hush puppies a hit and my wife even commented they were pretty good. They had initially messed up my order by putting fries instead of onion rings but to their credit it was replaced with a big order of them about 5 fives later. Rings came out and quite bland and under-seasoned. I would have been better off with just the fries but now I know. At $15.95 I'd have to say the whole basket was cooked well but could have used more seasoning overall. They do have a lot of sauces available along with some Tony Chachere's to add but obviously I'd prefer the food to stand on its own and be cooked in it rather than flavored after...Tartar sauce had more of a remoulade flavor to it and I liked it. Environment really great for talking as tables are spaced so no concern about people overhearing your "stuff". We left just as there was a mariachi band heading in and so maybe it gets crazy later in the day. They also have happy hour prices so might be worth a stop to miss traffic. People in the restaurant seem happy to be there and I think that says a lot but I'd have to have more to pull me back out that direction.

Im a sucker for Crawfish and im always looking for the next best thing... but this place failed.... Ive been to the Richardson location and it wasnt that bad. Crawfish were big, cooked perfectly but LACK flavor. You can see a lot of seasoning in the picture but had no taste, they were extremely greasy, corn tasted frozen. Wont be visiting them again. One star for the michelada that was ok.
