The Mad Hatter Tea is an event put on by the Farmers Branch Historical Park through their Activities & Programs. It was a pure delight! It was well thought out and the decor and photo staging areas, the tables themselves, and the people putting it on were reminiscent of the classic Walt Disney version of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The food was delicious and well-presented on three-tier cake stands, the tea, of course, was spot on, and they had a Four-Piece String Quartet playing music that reminded me of Bridgerton music. It was a fun vibe and people even dressed up to come to it. Seriously, EVERYONE had a great time and I recommend you check out their events calendar and try to book a table when they do this again!

First time actually seeing this park and playground area from the road I was glad that I did stop also. I needed this tranquil view, and the parks different trails to explore. I will definitely be back to this park.

We went to Denton live concert that was moved to the historical park this year. Great area for music, sound system is nice lots of room for a big crowd. The parking is at some office buildings quite aways away. For past events they had a shuttle service to get u there, for people with walking issues that was appreciated-they didn't have that service for this event and I know people who chose to go home because of the distance to walk to the park. Hopefully will be added since it looks like this music series has moved here this summer.

What a nice park. Just perfect for a music festival. Nice big field in front of the stage that can accommodate a lot of folks. There is much more to this park than what I saw, I just didn't take the time to explore, the 'historical' part since it was all about music for us that weekend. This was our second time coming and we had no qualms about returning.

Came to the Dallas area to see a free concert in this park. 2 tribute bands, Def Leggend and Back in Black (Ac/Dc). When it lists the show as STARTING at 6, the average person goes earlier to get a good spot on the lawn. We were blocked from entering park and made to stand in a long line on the street (all holding chairs, coolers and blankets) until we were allowed to enter well after 6:00. You would have thought it was the REAL Def Leppard and ACDC. Ridiculous! We've been to a lot of free outdoor concerts and I have to say this was the strangest system of making people wait that we have seen. They should have made it clear "Gates Open at" to avoid people standing in long hot line for 45 min. Inside there were canned beers available for purchase at $8 each. Way overpriced for a can of beer. Row of porta potties.Sound system and stage were good, bands were great. Park needs perfect things a bit if they are going to keep hosting concerts.

This review is only for the Tour Of Lights. My husband, our little girl dog and I were visiting Dallas from Christmas to New Year's. To get into the festival holiday mood, we like seeing Christmas lights and attending special Christmas events like the Christmas lights at the Dallas Zoo and The 12 Days of Christmas at the Dallas Arboretum. The Tour of Lights at Farmer's Branch Park is a great little drive through Christmas light tour that are animated and display lights that are sync to holiday music that you can listen to on your car radio. There is a suggested donation of $5 to help out a local charity. My husband was being generous and donated $10 (yay to helping out the church that was the featured charity when we came on the last day of the Tour Of Lights event, Dec 30). We were given 2 candy canes. Sadly the Tour of Lights was a short drive, but it was fun to watch all of the lights. Also nice to be able to see the light display inside a warm car. The park itself is beautiful with the historical homes/ buildings around. There is also a lot of open space that would have been nice to bring my dog to during the day. I would love to check this place out during the day and may in a future visit to Dallas. Please note that the Tour Of Lights is only available during the end of the year, from 6:30- 9:30 pm. We came around 6:50 pm and there was no line to get in. If you wish to avoid a line in the future, consider coming right when it begins. Also the featured charity of the night (different charities are featured on nights that they are open) does have change in case you need in, and wish to give a donation. Also this park actually has some really cool events each month. Be on the look out for that (http://farmersbranchtx.gov/718/Upcoming-Events).

Came to watch the Christmas lights and boy was it fun. Today was the first day of the park opening and it's very well managed. There is plenty of police to guide you in the direction you need to go. Be patient as the lines may be long as this is a very small spot. It is definitely worth the wait, and you may even wait to visit twice.

Farmers Branch Historical Park was the perfect location for our intimate wedding ceremony. The price was affordable and the staff was extremely helpful. We were able to get dressed at the location, enjoy air conditioning in the chapel, and have the most beautiful backgrounds for our wedding photos. Thank you to the staff at the Farmers Branch Historical Park for making our wedding spectacular.

We were here for the date night event and totally loved it!Firstly, the event was free and there was ample parking (also had a shuttle to help those who did not want to walk). The organizers had done an amazing job with the event.1) Food Trucks - amazing! Our favorite was Sir Frank's Fancy Dog and Sausage Truck - their concept of the veggie dog was amazing. The other trucks that we liked include Tutta's Pizza and The Hot Potato.2) The live music was great3) They also showed Ocean's 8 movie and we really enjoyed that. The park was big and had sufficient space to house all of us and the amenities. We really had fun!

Great place to hang out. I had never been to this park so seeing the little town was a surprise that just added more romance to the date night at the park event. Besides the Mosquitos and the "tilt" accident lol inside joke with me and Janeisha A. We had a great time. They only had about 6 food trucks there but it seem to be enough of a variety for everyone to enjoy. We weren't very hungry so we got some yucca fries from one on the food trucks that served Cuban food I got the Cuban donut both were delicious. Since we were starting to get bit by more Mosquitos and the movie wasn't very good we decided to part after our food truck snack. All n all it was a nice night for us.
