Eldorado Country Club

We joined here last year, I was tired of area restaurants that charged a lot and often failed on simple cooking techniques. I wanted a go to place that did not require a trek to Dallas. I also enjoy having a place where I don't have to wait for 2 hours! Chef Chris does a good job.The staff has been great, and I actually played 1/2 a round of golf last summer which was the first attempt in years. Having a pool is nice, having a pool where you can order a drink is really nice.

Hard working staff and when things are normal, best bar in McKinney...golf ain't bad either

The food was decent but service needed improvement. It's spacious and good for large group gatherings.

DO NOT have your wedding here. Cathy Taylor is a lying manipulative woman. She will not answer any direct questions and tells you the Venue is yours for the weekend. After you pay the deposit, she goes MIA. After several phone calls and emails ignored I went up to the country club. Apparently, its the only way she communicates with anyone. "You can always just stop by with any questions." She called me after final bill was paid and asked if it was ok to have another bridal party in the suite???? THERE WAS A SECOND WEDDING AT THE EXACT SAME TIME..Rehearsal Dinner; another wedding going on at the same time that are lined up outside the hallways were we can't hear her or even walk in. She spends literally 12 minutes, if that walking us through the events.Day of wedding; Cathy is completely MIA pawns us off on her assistant which is ok, but she was over the other wedding as well! So no wedding planner was 100% there with me as promised, the other bride that had 100 less people threw a fit and got all the coordinators.( I was literally told this)There were so many promises made and she failed big time. Lunch was 2 hours late. Never brought our champagne until I am about to walk.. SHE TOLD MY FAMILY THERE WAS NO ROOM FOR THEM AT THE RECEPTION!! I am still so upset over the way she has treated not only myself and my family, but how she treated such a special moment in my life that I planned carefully to make sure it was at least done well! Food was not at all what was presented to us at the tasting, and cold. Our bar charged several people their first drinks when it was an open bar, and again could never find Cathy! Our cake was cut for over an hour before she had someone cut and serve it. Our champagne toast...no one had champagne. Just a horrible waste of money when I had many better options that were more elegant and more things provided for the price.

I attended a wedding here and I was impressed by how smoothly everything ran. The room where the wedding was held was nicely put together and the chairs for the guests were plush and comfortable (much different from many weddings!). They had an archway for the couple to stand in front of and the side and back doors made entrances for the wedding party smooth and easy.After the ceremony everyone waited outside of the ceremony and reception halls for a cocktail hour. This was also really nice as there were chairs and even a roaring fireplace, and plenty of room to mingle and talk comfortably.The reception hall was much larger than I thought and with the dance floor and all of the tables it made for a beautiful scene. They had these large decorations hanging above the dance floor which were very pretty, and when I asked about them I was told that the club actually put those up on their own! The food was served buffet style with a carving station for the meats. The food was about what you would expect from a wedding - average. A good side note is that they have a children's room for club hours that has a full changing station with a sink if you're attending with a baby! This was very handy for me!

Great course, friendly staff!!!! Love it will definitely be back. Not rushed but a great pace of play. Will be joining this club asap!

Every since they got a new GM complete 180. Best part is NO golf now. Head pro is great as well as Head of instruction. They are heading in a positive direction. Membership is still the best.

We had our wedding at the Eldorado Country Club this past November and it was everything we dreamed it could be! Cathy Taylor was absolutely amazing to work with. No need for a wedding coordinator if she's involved. She made sure everything was on time, everyone was where they were supposed to be, and that she made me and my wife feel as comfortable as possible on our wedding day. The wedding and reception could not have gone any smoother. Not a single thing went wrong the entire day. All the guests were talking about how good the food was and how organized everything appeared. At the end of the night, Cathy gave us a personalized box filled with dinner, desserts, and champagne. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

Came for a wedding reception. Very nice place! I wanted to find a place to nurse. It was cold out and didn't want to go back and forth to the car. We were attending a Pakistani reception, so nursing at the party wouldn't have gone well. A lady who might have been a manager, showed me a kiss club room. I had the whole room to myself, left all the baby's things in there so I didn't have to carry it back and forth from party to room. Soooo convenient!

Great club. Love the women's tennis program. My husband enjoys golf at the club. The club manager, Jayson, has done a great job with the food service. It has really stepped up since he has been there.
