The food, ambience and service overdelivers! The portions are just right, with the right amount of flavors throughout each dish. Our party gobbled up the chips and salsas which were perfection. Be sure to order a side of queso, it does not disappoint. Looking forward to our next dine out to try some of the other dishes. There are plenty of options to try from.

Great authentic Mexican restaurant tucked into the neighborhood area. We went on a Friday night, there was a 30 min wait but we were able to get a drink from the bar and sit and wait and time flew. The service and staff were all really friendly. The food came really quickly. I ordered the Taco Salad and loved it. It was very flavorful and it didn't need the dressing. My drink was the Sangria Margarita and it was so good ! Overall great little spot to support. Will be going again!

This place is awesome. The employees are very helpful, atmosphere is inviting, decor is nice. I would definitely recommend. We had the sampler platter which had a little bit of everything and it was really good. My bf had the fajitas and I had the shrimp tacos. He was raving about how flavorful and soft the meat was and my shrimp tacos were very good as well. Our server, Arlene, always had a smile and was attentive and just positive. She checked on us constantly and made us feel welcome. Overall we had a great time.

Popped in for Happy Hour! By the sheer number of people in the ba, waiting for food to go and to be seated and the diners already there I'm pretty sure those characteristics speak for themselves. Great Rita happy hour Delicious enchiladas- mole ands con carne and tomatillo sauces. Service with a smile and good jokes! John Rambo owns it!

I stopped by on a weekday for lunch. I had read so much about El Vecino on Yelp that I couldn't wait to try it. The margarita was satisfyingly cool and refreshing. However, the meal went downhill from there. The complimentary chips had a distinct burned oil taste. The nice server brought me a fresh batch, but those, too, had the same problem. Neither the red nor green salsas had enough spice to mask the off-putting flavor of the chips. The Tres arrived, a hot plate consisting of a crispy beer taco, a cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. The flavors were disappointingly bland, especially the enchilada. The beef taco had chunks of potato, which made it taste more like a hearty soup than a Tex-Mex staple.

I had a rather unpleasant situation yesterday (Mon. February 10th), around 3pm with a very ill-mannered waiter. I was informing him of my allergies, as I'm required to do by my medical profesional. When the waiter questioned me about my epi pen. I reiterated that I was simply informing him of my condition and he berated me about the importance of epinefrin. I went there for happy hour, and the cochinita pibil. NOT to recieve a impertinent verbal assault by someone who isn't a medical provider. This was a really unfortunate circumstance because I really wanted to return. I hope that the waiter was just having a bad moment, because I felt that his back and forth was really unfair. It left a really bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended.
