Tacos smell and taste good. The sauces are very spicy and really what makes the tacos good. I was a bit lost when I arrived as I didn't know where to pull up. I called several times to confirm but they hung up on me, I think it was due to the language barrier. This is only drive through. You have to pull up in your car and wait until a worker opens their window to get and give your order. I placed an order ahead of time so I just had to wait at the drive through to pay and pick it up. There may be a small language barrier if Spanish isn't your native language. They gave me the card reader to tip and it was all in Spanish so I had no idea what to click or press but eventually figured it out. I wish they offered lunch specials.

Fresh handmade tortillas and Gorditas. It's the best kept secret. Always order street tacos with a Mexican Coke. They have nopales, pastor, chicharon, and other meats. Catch myself racing to get some on Saturdays before they close. Highly recommend for fresh street tacos, sopes, gorditas or burritos. Ladies are always nice and welcoming. I'll call ahead of time when possible. It's only pick up, no dining unless you're eating in your car.

I am a huge fan of authentic Mexican food-- especially street tacos, double tortillas. I tried the chicken (wow tender!!) and two of the steak/chorizo (delicious) and two of the flavorful spicy pork (with surprise: pineapple wedges) all served with chopped white onions and cilantro w fresh salsa ( hot green and red). It took a minute to realize what we were looking for was a small green hut in the parking lot of a mostly defunct strip mall. We ordered and a few minutes later, our order was served up by the smiling mamacita. So rule of thumb: ambiance isn't as important as good grub! You get lots of fresh food at a fair price- so go get you some!

Stopped here for lunch and wasn't disappointed. Prices are fair, service was quick, tacos were delicious. Pastor was amazing! Steak was a little dry, but still yummy.

Stop number two today on my quest to find good tacos in Texas. Maybe I'm spoiled by growing up in southern California, but so far I haven't found anything in Texas that compares with the better places in California.El Rumbero however is a step in the right direction. It's a tiny shed in the middle of a parking lot. About the size of the old Fotomat stores if you remember those. Just pick up your food at the window and find somewhere to eat it. There's plenty of parking there, so that's what I did.A very nice lady took my order at the sliding window, for two tacos. One pastor and one pollo. The total with tax came out to under $5. About 8-10 minutes later the window opened up again and she handed over a small bag with my two tacos in it and a couple of very small cups of sauce, one green and one reddish brown.Since this was my second taco stop today (I was doing a comparison) I was looking forward to seeing if it fared any better than the previous one.Well, just opening the tacos up told me it was probably better. The chicken looked to be of better quality, and even smelled better. The pastor looked like pastor that I'm used to, with a deep red color to it.Now for a bite. The chicken was good. It had a nice seasoning to it, and was cooked perfectly. Also, no rubbery bits like the last place I went to.The pastor was also better. Plenty of flavor to it, and neither taco really needed any of the sauce on it, but I tried both anyway and they were good.Overall I think 4 stars is a fair score here. It's not up there with the best of the best taco places that I've been to , but it's the best one that I've been to so far in Texas. If I'm in the neighborhood again I'd certainly think about making a repeat visit.

The tacos are really delicious! I've been going to this place for years now! However, sometimes I am missing a taco from my order and the pastor comes with pineapples on it but sometimes I don't get any. Check your order before you leave! Other than that, the best tacos around...
