El Chifrijo Puerto Rican Fusion

First time trying El Chifrijo! Stopped at their food truck while visiting the Dallas Arboretum today. Food did not disappoint! Ordered a beef empanada and tostones. Both items came with a dipping sauce as well. Green sauce had an fresh avocado taste. Other sauce was more sweet. Enjoyed both sauces as well! My only regret is wishing I had ordered more from the menu. Hope I run into them at later events! Their food is great, give them a try!

Careful, they double charged me and there is no way to contact them to correct it. My bill was $15.xx and they charged my credit card $33 (note: they had me swipe multiple times supposedly because of a power issue.)

The food was delicious. I got the 3 mini Mofongo to try the beef, chicken, and veggie... and woah! It was nice to try all the different flavors and impossible to pick a favorite. Great food Chifrijo. Thnx!

I tried their food truck today at Klyde Warren Park, and the food was some of the best I've had in a long time! I actually haven't had much Puerto Rican food, but now I can't wait to try more. I got the Mini Mofongo. The tree different meats were all cooked perfectly and stayed juicy. The three different sauces all tasted incredible. The mini cups were so fluffy inside and crispy on the outside. The guy inside was really friendly and gave me a great recommendation of what to order. Highly recommend!!

Being Puerto Rican myself, it is ALWAYS a challenge to find great tasting Puerto Rican food.. this food by far, was the best I've had in Texas!! The flavor was perfect! I had the chifrijo bowl and the beef empanadas and my best friend had the meaty mofongwoah! Everything was amazing! The only flaws is that you can only order take out and you have to order on a website or a kiosk when you arrive. The other negative is that you don't even see where the establishment is as it's hidden in a building that has many other take out choices within the same building. It's a hidden gem!! But nonetheless, the food is to die for! We will be back!

I've ordered 3 or 4 times now from El Chifrijo via Doordash (I think the first food truck I've doordashed). Each time I have loved it. Since I am a mofongo fanatic (having been brought up on it and other PR food), I've repeatedly ordered different versions of the Mofongwhoa. It has consistently been really good- the mofongo is one of the best I've tried outside of PR and family members. Though advertised as 'inspired by the PR classic' I find it similar enough to be very happy. It's not dry (which is the most common problem I've had with other places out here), is really flavorful/well spiced, and the pork and beef (if you choose those) are very good. We also tried the Chifrijo bowl- which was also delicious and prepared well. So, we are big fans and we will definitely try more soon.

We got the chicken, pork, and beef. They were all soooooo delicious and well seasoned. The yuca was nice and crispy and soft on the inside. We actually ate from their food truck at the dallas farmers market. Highly highly recommend this.

Terrific mofongo -- very filling.My tostones were hot, fresh, and tasty, as well.Hubby had and loved his Chifrijo bowl.

As a bórica, I haven't been able to find a lot of good Puerto Rican places that reminded me of home. This place hits the spot. The Congri was so good and they have vegetarian options! I wish the mofongo was a little crispier but still so delicious

The food is amazing!! Mofongo and empanadas are great!!! I highly recommend this restaurant.. Buena comida muy autentica!
